LBJ ordering a pair of pants, asking for extra room in the crotch. Start at 3:30

Much as I love bad jokes, I think Matt is stretching a little in this episode. May need to be wrangled by the Shooter
-
Pumped to hear this. Will Jimmy still be into Kojak this week? Tune in to find out
-
Great start to this new venture. Joe Lo is the perfect guest

It often sounds like Birbiglia is unable to deal with the extreme bit saturation from Scott and Gabrus and would rather have a real conversation, but he powers through nicely. Solid ep, Gabrus is great and he looks a little bit like Orson Welles

Most of the musical guests play it straight. They can't all be Neco Case.
Â
I get that musical guests aren't comedians (although Nick Thorburn on Analyze Phish was very good), but he was on mic the whole time and was giving Scott nothing in any of their interactions, to the point that it became funny how disengaged he was. Even a musician can put in a little effort, can't they?

Did Bill Callahan understand where he was? Playing it too straight, my friend, bringing zero energy. That said, the songs were kind of cool

No file there, can't get at the podcast

A couple of weeks ago, I had never heard of Molly Bretthauer, but between this and her appearance on the Comedy Bang Bang Halloween episode last week, I've got to say that I'm pretty impressed with her talent.
Â
Agreed, Dykula killed

Zach Woods is such an improv champion.
Â
You're so right! I've been going back and listening to all old I4H episodes with him. His choices are always impeccable. "I joined Peace Corps because I couldn't handle the level of conflict at my liberal arts college in Maine"
Â
He was also in the classic I4H scene involving the Hollywood squirrel that was trying to sign people to predatory contracts (and turn them into apps) I think that episode is called 'App Talk'

Thanks for checking this out! I'm playing it directly in SoundCloud right now and it seems to be working ok. I'll let you know how it goes

For the last two weeks or so, the soundcloud player for all podcasts that I listen to on the earwolf site has been crashing mid-podcast. The sound just cuts out and the timer resets to zero. It's really annoying! Anyone else having this problem? Earwolf people, any idea what's happening?
Â
Thanks,
Allan

p.s. I have it open in Chrome

I'm really starting to dig the Comedy Bang Bang weather report
Â
I could feel a running bit being born there. It reminds me of the dearly departed weekly Entourage recap
-
Everyone's so obsessed with their current technology it's like they can't step back and appreciate a comedian who's doing something totally unique and brilliant--I mean, iPods, iPads? iDon'tKnowAnymore!
Â
That's what I'm trying to say!

I suppose I'm in the minority here, but this episode illustrated the best and the worst of CBB to me.
Â
On one hand I love the darkness of PFT's Herzog impression (especially the firefighter story), and Ben Schwartz is always great. I love the show the best when guests are allowed to run wild and get dark, i.e. Andy Daly's hilarious cast of demented deviants. More than anything, Brett Gelman's I-Brain bit and Don Dimello's appearance alongside Patton Oswalt got me hooked on this show and I wish we could hear more of that ilk.
Â
Lately however, I've been having to skip through or just not listen to more and more episodes, as Scott's really getting annoying. Stuff like the singing and lame wordplay is self-indulgent and and as Marc Maron put it so well, "precious." It's like hanging with a bunch of theater kids who can do nothing but reiterate the same tired inside jokes over and over again. I can't even listen to the ads anymore as they've gotten so drawn-out and grating that I'd rather miss a few minutes of content than suffer through having Scott do stuff like repeatedly and annoyingly yell "TING!" in my ear for 90 seconds. I wish more guests would tone Scott down a bit. Like in this episode, when Scott kept trying to force the bit about verbalizing every "period" and Ben responded with "This is so stupid." I practically cheered.
Â
Gotta say, I don't think Scott is going anywhere. And he's been doing those bits and inside jokes for the entire run of the show. What you see is pretty much what you get. You may have to stop listening to the show....
Â
Maybe it's just me, but for me, Comedy Bang Bang is one of the biggest shows on the Earwolf network

i dont know how to explain why i love harris so much. but just reading people type out things like "best night of my life scott" and im instantly transported back to the podcast and hearing it with his voice and timing. for some reason it all makes sense to me. kind of like a phish show i assume.
Â
little moments like that, or "shes our little miracle" from the CBB episode have me giddy every time i see harris is on the show.
Â
Have to agree, I don't know what it is exactly, but I find Harris so incredibly funny, and seeing little phrases of his written out brings me right back into it. Especially in his Foam Corner-terrible joke mode. His and Scott's comedic sensibilities go really well together.
Â
This was an amazing episode. I'll be evangelizing for the church of Scott and Harris with this audio
Â
Also, Scott is a genius. And have people here seen the divisive LA Weekly article? http://blogs.laweekly.com/westcoastsound/2012/02/phish_harris_wittels_scott_auk.php

Too Big to Fail - was that title describing Paul Giamatti's Golden Globes beard?
Â
I'll be here all week

Bob Ducca - fantastic
Ice-T - it's been too long since his last appearance - what gives, PFT?
John C. Reilly
Good One Robot
The Sha Na Na guy by Andy Daly -
love the show, but this one was a little lacking in structure and laughs. Paul is great on 'How Did This Get Made' but Nick Kroll he is not when it comes to characters
