I've found with many of those films that they're all premise, like they sound like they'd be completely ridiculous, but then they end up being just super boring once the story sets in.

I think the only Hatebreed song I've heard that I can remember was the "Refuse/Resist" Sepultura cover from "Punisher: War Zone". It's okay, but they made the classic cover mistake of changing one of the better parts of the song, which in this case made it a little LESS crunchier. That's right, Hatebreed made a song sound lighter.

Also, if it wasn't for this show, I probably would have completely forgotten about "Liz & Dick" within about three days.

I'm picturing the end of "Good Will Hunting". Ben Affleck is knocking on Matt Damon's door, but there's no answer. There's a smile on his face, as he realizes that after years and years of hoping in vain, his wish has finally come true...

It was weird, because I think it was something he was taking for bodybuilding that's legal there, but not in WWE, or vice versa, I'm not sure. He wasn't competing in-ring though, so it's strange that it would immediately cost him his job.

I'm outside of Pittsburgh, and it never got that bad, but a lot of the surrounding area where a lot of the guys are coming from was a lot worse. We were supposed to have recently-fired WWE wrestler/NXT trainer Billy Gunn, but he was snowed in somewhere.

I got to see Scarlett in person when I got to work on "Winter Soldier", and I think she looked better when she's trying to blend in in the mall scene (I walked right between her and Evans in a couple of takes) than when she was decked out in the Widow gear. Speaking of which, I saw Chris Evans up close both then and also when he was in full Cap mode, and he is quite the handsome gentleman. What do the ladies generally think of him?

I do think it gets interesting though when you start throwing in other factors, like when they have to work with a toy company to make "Masters of the Universe", or when they get handed an established film franchise like "Superman". I mean, the end result is almost always a disaster (and they were going to make MARVEL movies...), but at least it's not just "...and the movie only made half its budget back, because they overpaid Stallone" again.

I don't want to feel that I need to read the articles to get the whole experience, and while I'm a fan of things like director commentaries, anything more COULD end up feeling like homework. Hell, sometimes just watching these movies feels like homework, but because I like the hosts and guests on HDTGM, I'll usually give movies like the mid-90s kiddie garbage that was after my time a try. I don't need to read an extensive tell-all piece to know that trying to build ANY movie around Shaq was a bad idea, and I too don't want it to get to a point where it's assumed that I've read the Blake Harris story and that THAT becomes the launchpad for discussion and not the film itself. Speaking of spending more time on something than any movie is worth, if I hear someone tell me I need to watch the Red Letter Media review of "Phantom Menace" just ONE more time, I just might scream. Seriously though, I've never seen people devote more time to something they hate than people that continue to harp on THAT film.

"Jacob's Ladder" gets brought up a bit whenever someone hypothesizes "What if this was some crazy dream?" or "What if they really died when ___________ happened, and the rest is all just happening in their mind?". I haven't seen it in forever and feel like they may as well do an episode, or at the very least address the reference in a mini ep or something.

Okay guys, hottest Ma Kent: Diane Lane or Annette O'Toole? I was ready to let Lane run away with that one, but then I got to looking at some older pics of O'Toole, and I'm kind of torn...

"Cabin in the Woods" is great, and I own and really like "Detention", but I haven't had much luck getting others turned on to it and don't really hear it talked about very much.

Oh yeah, if Shaq was in "The Room", would it still be playing football in tuxedoes, or would it be shooting shitty free throws in tuxedoes?

This makes Diane Lane the most successful thing that Christopher Lambert has ever been in!

John Oliver did a really good piece on the corruption in FIFA on an episode of "Last Week Tonight", where they also talked about this film quite a bit, which made me curious enough to want to check it out. Eventually...

Also, does Marvel have an Alpha Flight series on Netflix Canada that us U.S. viewers are missing out on?

And it's so satisfying since we have the meta-knowledge of knowing that Troy Duffy would NEVER mean anything outside of those movies, even a decade after that documentary came out.
