Jingle All The Way 2?
PlanBFromOuterSpace replied to schadenfreudian's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I'm not sure that I've heard anyone else point this out, but Larry the Cable Guy was also the star of "Tooth Fairy 2", which I'm not sure was a WWE production (the first one of course starred The Rock), but I'd like to think that at this rate we might also see him as the star of "See No Evil 3" and "The Marine 5: Delta Farce, Part 2". -
What was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply evil...

This was also the first Bond that I remember seeing, and it also featured possibly the first film appearance of America's sweetheart, Dolph Muthafuckin Lundgren. -
Judi Dench would also win an Oscar in the middle of her Bond run. And of course Christoph Waltz will have at least two Oscar wins under his belt before "Spectre" hits.

Which Movies Does HDTGM Absolutely Need To Review?
PlanBFromOuterSpace replied to Blast Hardcheese's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Depending on how I'm feeling on any given day, my favorite movie goes back and forth between "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" and "Boogie Nights". -
It was such a lame comeback too and made her look like even more of an asshole. She could have made herself look like a victim instead of a Shit Dick-level douche. It's one thing if your friends are saying they did something cool and you're doing the "Uh, yeah, I've totally done that too, guys" thing, but when someone does something awful and that's your response, that you're also a terrible person, you're kind of an idiot there.

If anything, I took that to mean "Jason and June will totally be around for the future live shows".
-
We don't know that though, at least from what we got to see. I mean, there HAS to be a reason why the one mom gets SO bent out of shape during the search for the missing chicken and why that psychopath sister of his would try to pin it on him, which makes you wonder how HE has violated poultry in the past. Also, when it comes to Miley's brood, does Thomas Jane have ANY interaction at all with the little brother and sister? What did THEY do to where their own father will put up with his asshole oldest kid but not even acknowledge them? Do we even know that they're his?

It COULD be heartbreaking, but everyone in this particular movie is a monstrous asshole, so I feel nothing.

This brings to mind the movie "Happiness" which I dare say is only slightly less depressing than "LOL".

There really isn't anything to talk about with Lost World though, as it's just a rehash of the first one, but they remembered to bring guns. The T-Rex rampage through San Diego was what I'd hoped more of the movie would be. Not really caring much about about Jurassic Park in the first place, I remembered liking JP3 at the time because it was more action-packed and pretty short, but I'll be damned if I can remember more than 3 scenes from it.

Sidekicks (1992)
PlanBFromOuterSpace replied to Ofcoursemyhorse's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I remember the most interesting thing about "The Neverending Story II: The Next Chapter" being that there was a sequel to something called "The NEVERENDING Story". I know there's a Lionel Hutz clip to be found for that one... -
Sidekicks (1992)

It'd be one thing if there was any sort of correlation or parallels to be drawn between the film and how he went out (it's no "Furious 7" or "World's Greatest Dad"), or if this was the beginning of the end, and that's not the case. Also, even at the height of his career, Brandis was hardly a blip on the radar, so ragging on a movie of his more than twenty years after its release, more than a decade after his passing, is more likely to raise questions of "Who was this kid again?" than concerns about whether or not talking about his (mostly horrible) films is in bad taste. I personally find "Sidekicks" ridiculous because kids my age (I'm 2 years younger than the film's star) really didn't give a shit about Chuck Norris movies at that time, except for maybe the first two "Missing in Action" films, which were readily available if someone had already rented both copies of "Rambo: First Blood-Part 2" from the neighborhood video store. By 1992, I was ALL about Jeff muthafuckin' Speakman. And Van Damme. JCVD was pretty rad, I guess. My Jonathan Brandis pick for this podcast would be "Lady Bugs", the highly uncomfortable comedy where Rodney Dangerfield pervs out to 14-year-old girls while Brandis in drag becomes the star player for the girls' soccer team. I think that Jason would die of dehydration before this one was finished. -
I've noticed that for some reason there's something about the live episodes lately that makes people that have apparently been registered here for a long time that have only had a handful of posts chime in and start complaining. Holy shit, there's always a lot of good discussions going on in these pages, but a guest's annoying laugh or bad sound quality is what wakes them up? This is what happens when Jason and June aren't there, guys!

I think this film makes ALL of us feel violated...

Maybe it's that fuckin' "How I Met Your Mother" crowd. Their show goes kaput, and now they feel the need to keep the epic feud going and ruin OUR show. Pricks...

Sidekicks (1992)

I see what you did there, if that's what you meant to do. If not, it's even better! -
To be fair though, that would be about the ONLY place that you'd recognize that dweeb from. I mean, even Channing Tatum doesn't have to deal with being the "Step Up" guy anymore. Shit Dick #1 will never live it down.
-
Wasn't the one guy like super prepared too, like had notes or something? I forget. Anyway, it looks that much worse when you bomb, because you WORKED to be that bad.
-
For that, please refer to the nearly 300 post-long thread where the "Shit Dick" naming system for all the guys was discussed in great detail.
