Haha, I totally got misplaced catch phrase credit.

Episode 65 — Free For All/ Tig Update
DanielSwinney replied to admin's topic in Professor Blastoff
I feel like the closing music, followed by the GI Joe style earwolf closer, even further trumps up Tig's bravery and overall badness of ass. It's like "tense, delicate, but funny... OK now we're intrepid and rocking out, let's do thissss!" -
I think he already had one where he was Chupacabra, Baby, Goat, and like three other animals.
-
This was the first time I pieced together than Ojai was not a pet name for Ohio.

Hooch 'n Tooch. Love it.

Isn't it on IFC rather than Comedy Central?

Of all the summahs in my life, I would describe this one as my: MOST IMPROVED SUMMAH. The last two summERs (I had no summahs), I've worked at programming jobs for a couple of different companies who had crazy, impossible deadlines tied to the start of the NFL season (late August), so I was often working 70-80 hour weeks in zero-morale environments, then going home and only being able to lie down to recover from the stress on my wrists, back, neck and shoulders. I didn't even wear shorts the last two summers, I went into two separate pretty bad depressions (and cycles of weight yo-yo'ing), and I went weeks at a time without seeing my best friends who lived just a short drive away. Two consecutive bummahs. BUT THIS YEAR, IN NO ORDER: 1) Leaving the office at 5. 2) Wearing shorts. 3) Having a summah romance (and I mean potentially beyond) 4) Bought *two* pairs of sunglasses 5) Beach trip planned 6) Seeing Marc Maron and Maria Bamford live in the next few weeks 7) Writing music 8) Seeing friends 9) Going to cookouts and minor league baseball games 10) Generally enjoying life Also what up Jenny, TN Summah Crew in effect.

I didn't hate last week's as much as about a million people did, but I did love this one a lot more. Also, my friend was at this show and now I can remember to be jealous of him.

Since I don't care very much about learning things through a comedy podcast, I'm glad the PB crew just use loose scientific topics as launching points to make jokes and tell anecdotes.

Oh man I loved Rushmore 2 (released in the states as Rushmost).
-
...and, of course, on this episode Tony is playing the character of a version of himself that is fully one with Bob Zmuda.
-
Tony Clifton is a real person, with a lot of stroke in the entertainment industry, and Bob Zmuda is a character that he has played for a long time. The student became the master.

Have fun with your family and friends! -
Seriously though, this episode might have turned me around on the Sklars. I have always absolutely hated everything they did with ESPN (found Cheap Seats lame and their Sportscenter segments tended to have really lazy jokes, plus the catch phrase "FOKES!!!" made me physically cringe every time) but they were really hilarious and quick here, and had me cracking up with the knitting material. I guess I'll have to dive into the Sklarbro archives.

Wow, I had about a ten-year stretch of not having more than two hiccups myself. I broke it about two years ago.

Good call, Fernwood 2nite was amazing. Scott should have Martin Mull and Fred Willard (and Happy Kine!) on CBB.

I second the love for ep 103.. to repeat what I posted in that one's comments thread: "I just recommended this episode to a friend as a great starting point for Earwolf. You get Reggie Watts' brilliance, the name change, the announcement of Professor Blastoff and just gold all around."

Paul F. Tompkins having "contempt for the audience" might be the most off-base opinion I've heard this year. He arguably had more enthusiasm for the podcast than either host, going so far as to tell them to not underestimate the joy in what they do. PFT resonates joy in what he does.

LOL @ PFT on G the D a C.
-
I like the trend towards more "written" titles.

Brooklyn went Double-Decker in the movie chart.
-
This episode was spicy and burning.

If I can be earnest, I'd like to say Hey to Vern.
