  1. I was in attendance at this SFSF event and can attest this is a listenable artifact from the live show. Eban's piano suffers the most, followed by Paul's voice. Most of the rest sound fine. Everyone is missing the live acting on the imaginary stage of an ice cream shop. Trondy dominant / Eug submissive.

Episode 165 - Ninja Terminator: LIVE!

I heard excerpts from different sections of "Echoes" at least twice. Came here to post the same thing. I attended this live show in San Francisco at Clusterfest and it was very fun. Took no pictures because I assumed some staffer was doing that. Highly recommend seeing HDTGM live if you ever have the chance. Beautiful, with all the screens & hosts & guests & audience in person.

    Future of the Show?

I was a longtime follower of Devin while he was a contributor and forum tyrant of CHUD.com before his move to BadassDigest/BMD.com This current revelation comes as no surprise: He was always a douche.
  7. (WC has its own problems). Earwolf is dying and I blame Seeso and the Scrippsters

    You guys into this?

NO! This show is basically a writing room kept alive by activity on a Message board. Will be glad when all you Scrippsters let Earwolf get back to its roots

Episode 289 - Live from SF Sketchfest 2016

I was at this show live in San Francisco. Had lovely table companions, an older couple who were hardcore comedy & podcasting fans. Was glad we all got to see this stupendous all-star show. Except for the Making A Murderer spoilers. None of us had seen the Netlix series yet. I have since then and fully appreciate Dan's rendition of the prosecutors "lady voice."

EPISODE 384 — Numbers Cannot Lie

Highly recommended for Jason "Zouks" Mantzoukas -- PROGENY: Seven Shows from Seventy-Two (14 CD deluxe box set) by YES http://www.amazon.co...e/dp/B00U2MZU9C Alan White plays drums on Bill Bruford-era material. Chris Squire (RIP) rules on bass. Use the Amazon links to support the show, folks.
  11. Holy fuck I can't believe this is happening. I remember many years ago Andy being a guest on Jimmy Pardo's Never Not Funny and them talking about U2, high school, and drumming. When the Scott's did their U2 podcast series, they glossed over the earliest albums; my favorites, and apparently, Andy's also.
  12. Saw this show live. So good. Of course the guys I knew least, Colton Dunn and Charlie Sanders, became the MVP's. Good crowd work from Besser, natch. + <3 Lauren's blown kiss from a fan. Very sweet in the room.

    R.I.P. Harris Wittels

Such optimism in the Don't Stop Or We'll Die music. And I recall his enthusiasm on Who Charted when he bought his house (with all that Parks & Rec / Humblebrag money). Jealous at how much he seemed to get laid. His evangelical devotion to Phish, always positive, taking Scott's dismissive comments with gentle grace. But I too got worried when he quit drugs. He seemed so at home in that world, in love with it. This last year must have been a major struggle for him to redefine his lifestyle. Maybe Earwolf could bundle his podcast appearances together to sell as a package and donate the proceeds to a drug rehab charity.

    Episode 101 — Xanadu: LIVE!

While totally agreeing with the gang that this movie sucks on so many levels, I am kind of surprised the music wasn’t really addressed beyond Jason dissing Jeff Lynne and shitting on The Tubes (“White Punks On Dope” is a glam-rock classic). I genuinely love at least 4 songs from the soundtrack.: Xanadu (theme, ONJ w/ELO), I’m Alive (Electric Light Orchestra), Magic (ONJ), and Suddenly (gorgeous ballad duet w/ Olivia Newton-John & Cliff Richard). And ELO”s “All Over The World,” too. Not at all claiming the songs are used well in the film. I can’t help but think some of these were written beforehand and shoehorned into the film to pad an admittedly weak script. Seems like the whole venture was an attempt to capitalize on Olivia’s popularity and produce not so much a coherent film, but more of a long-form promotional video (pre-MTV era). My recent viewing of it made me wonder if XANADU was designed for teen girls, like a light/rainbow/unicorn antithesis to SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER’s dark view of dance and sex. But Michaela & June’s frustrations with it refute this reading. Most tellingly, the fact the the entire panel were offended by the inept “struggling artist” theme of the film confirms that as an inspirational fantasy for creative types, both boys AND girls, it fails. I however maintain that the soundtrack has it merits, for fans of slick late-70’s pop music. That’s how I choose to remember… Xanadu.

    Episode 5 — Analyze Fish

Loved this episode. Oddly enough, today AICN featured a new Mondo poster for JAWS that captures all the summah qualities Howie loves so much about the film. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/60373
