    Good Burger (1997)

I dare anyone on the forum to watch the first 2 minutes of this film and not turn away. This film could only have been made in the 90's. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Nickelodeon took $9 Million and threw it at a film based on a single sketch from a variety show on cable AND STILL managed to earn it back. On a plot that is insane and has little to do with the premise of the sketch, which is watching Kel Mitchell take orders. There are fast food competitions and Carmen Electra beatings and notice needs to be taken at the "Only a kids show would get away with this" Insane Asylum Scene. I'm still debating as to whether this is a kids film, because this just has nothing related to the show or children in anyway.

    Iron Man 3

The Mandarin reveal wasn't really that big of a deal for me, although I was under the impression that Ben Kingsley was being over the top for the entire movie (I did have a small chuckle at the Fortune Cookie Line), so it didn't really surprise me when this over the top villian turned out to be a over the top fake. **SPOILERS** I DID, however, have a huge problem with the death and ressurection of Pepper. I was actually very interested in what direction the story was going to go in when it appeared that Pepper had died. I felt it was one of the best scenes in the movie when she fell, because I thought it would take us into a Peter Parker-Gwen Stacy deal with a fallen love interest. Now, I know that they set it up that she was recieving Extremis and thus had a reason to survive the fall, but I was angered when Robert Downey Jr. just says in voice over that Pepper was cured with absolutely no scene to show it and no indication of how much time has passed. But overall, really good movie that wouldn't fit on HDTGM.

    Star Trek: Into Darkness

Not only was this already a topic, but it was also thoroughly ridiculed as well. As for Spock and Kirk, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are self-proclaimed 'Bros 4 Life', so I wouldn't be too shocked if their chemistry was above average.

    Milk Money (1994)

I also want to know the logic behind the idea that out of the presumed dozens of prostitute in the city this kid is in, Melanie Griffith is the one that he believes should be married to his dad within the first, oh, I'd say 10 MINUTES OF MEETING HER.

    The Scarlet Letter (1995)

I want everyone, and I mean EVERYONE on the forum to just watch this scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc9lWhzThLI Explain that. EXPLAIN IT! THAT IS THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG There is rape, there are mistaken murders, there is Robert Duvall being insane, if you ignore the source material and this movie STILL isn't crazy on it's own merits, I don't know what is going on with the world.

    Warm Bodies

I would jump in and defend this movie because I actually thought that is was trying to be more than the Twilight melodrama, but since I am a 17 year old, I am the target demographic who this movie wants. I haven't seen it yet either, but good friends of.mine who didn't care for Twilight loved it, so I'm on the side of I really hope it's good Also, while I do agree that the recommendation problem has grown out of hand, this is just a general forum message that people need to calm down. The final decision goes to Scheer. I didn't think Joyful Noise could get some material, but it did. It's all based on most material possible.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

Guys, Mental Illness is a real thing, as evidenced by Martin Brody's death by fear in the factual Jaws 4

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

Star Trek Into Darkness may have a plot hole here and there. Birdemic 2 tries to use campiness to its advantage. The Happening is a fucking disaster.

    The First Wives Club (1996)

This was the over the top version of Waiting to Exhale. With the Mafia. And Underage Sex.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

"I'll tell you the answer. It's over ten million dollars. You'd have over ten million dollars at the end of the month. Want to hear another one?" I have nothing more to add.

    The First Wives Club (1996)

Agreed. Agree 100%. But there is still craziness in this movie. And I do want to know if the lesson of the movie really was meant to be "Don't get Mad. Get Everything", because as amazing as this movie is for me, it still is a pretty messed up message. But then there's the 3rd act self revalation, but then Ivanka Trump says THAT EXACT LINE at the end of the movie. I will say for a third time that I love this movie and think that it is awesome, I'm just self-aware that it is at 39% on RT, so if I can get them to talk about it, why the heck not? Excuse me as I go watch the final scene 20 more times.

    Rhinestone

I tried to imagine De Niro singing Drinkenstein, but I wound up with Pacino, which was even more delightful. "and they called him...DrinkenSTEIN!"

    The First Wives Club (1996)

Oh my god, I completely forgot about Balki playing Duarto Feliz and the goddamn scene where he is trying to keep Sarah Jessica Parker distracted. Which leads to, of course... And still came out with this... There is a weird feminist legacy to this movie that almost makes it seem like Spice World for middle-aged housewives. Again, as someone who loved this film, I have no idea where that comes from. I really just want to see them try and decipher this.
  14. 5 pages in and not a single soul has talked about John Leguizamo's character? UNACCEPTABLE.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

Can anyone imagine Zooey Deschanel being angry at a review of this? I'd kinda understand Marky Mark, but I'd think she'd get it, and would even be willing to guest.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

Not that I think it couldn't be a good episode, but I genuinely would be shocked if Paul held preference of Space Jam over The Happening. I mean, it's kids movie crazy, while The Happening is Birdemic with a Budget.

    Star Trek: Into Darkness

This needs to be emphasized. If it is high on Rotten Tomatoes, it MUST BE BALLS-OUT CRAZY. Not riddled with plot holes. Not pretentiously boring. Balls out crazy. Fast Five. Devil's Advocate. Above 60%. Crazy as shit. I don't care if you thought Lincoln was pretentious, unless Lindsay Lohan is playing Mary Todd, we aren't doing it. Good? Good.

    Episode 62.5 — Minisode 62.5

There always was that feeling for me that some really bad movies like The Happening or Showgirls are being saved for live episodes or specials. I mean, it would seem odd and out of nowhere if they announced Showgirls as the movie this week. But I do agree, Paul is unusually dodgy on The Happening and doesn't want us to know something. Probably will skip this week. I won't have time to see it.

    Rhinestone

I would argue that Joyful Noise is way crazier than this, but the scene where Stallone is singing Tutti Fruity WHILE A FUNERAL IS GOING ON is in fact insane. I'm actually shocked that Stallone considered Stop! or my Mom Will Shoot his worst, because comedic-action Stallone is way better than Taxi Driver-Singer Stallone. Someone needs to put this on YouTube now so we all can see.

    Premonition (2007)

The entire scene between Sandra, her mother, Nia Long, her children, and the psychiatrist is mental. And the decapitated head at the funeral? THE CROWS? I was just in awe of how bad this was.

    Episode 62 — Joyful Noise

But you guys, the even bigger question is WHO WAS THE PROTAGONIST IN THIS MOVIE?!? Was it Dolly? Queen? Keke Palmer and Jeremy Jordan? Who were we rooting for? But I will say that when Queen Latifah is about to give her speech, I just knew "They are going to have this fucking woman give a speech as to why they should defeat these children." I was mindblowned.

    Episode 62 — Joyful Noise

I also wanted to say that I watched this movie and did not think it was depressing (Messed up, yes, but not depressing) but I was depressed at this movie's loose ends when June said "What the fuck happened between Dolly and her daughter? We'll never know." I genuinely want to know what happened, and am angered that I don't, and demand someone shoot the moonlight dancing scene with Dolly, Kristofferson, and Shania Twain.

The black woman's name was Earla Hughes, and yes...

    Episode 62 — Joyful Noise

Especially considering that Queen's real name is Dana Owens. It would've been amazing if they had just referred to her as Dana Owens and half of the audience had no idea what was going on. Also, did Paul say at one point that this was based on a book? Because I did research and "Joyful Noise" is also a book of children's poetry about insects. Joyful Noise the movie should be an original screenplay And you thought I was kidding about the insect poetry

    Episode 62 — Joyful Noise

I'd recommend watching Spice World ten more times. and you should be good. But I did love Dolly's solo duet and did tear up because I thought it was the most beautiful part of the movie (This is once again another episode that has made me love singers I didn't grow up with) I DID, however, have 2 big WTF moments in that scene. First, I can't believe that they did not touch on the dancing by MOON SPOTLIGHT. I loved it, but in both a loving way and a "What is Happening?" way. Second, Kris Kristofferson was CLEARLY just speaking the chorus to the song. I mean there was struggling, and then there was not trying. As for Queen Latifah, I really did not like her character at all, but I will give her props for the Supermodel speech and "Fix Me Jesus", where despite her just singing one line repeatedly, I found myself charmed. And for reference, Olivia was played by Keke Palmer, star of the greatest movie I was ever taken on a school field trip to see, Akeelah and the Bee. But above all else, this movie is why I love the podcast. As much as people rally for bad movie classics like The Happening, it was refreshing to see a bad movie that had no Razzie nods or camp status and still be a crazy experience. I remember seeing only one trailer in the theater for this, but I'm glad to add this to my best worst movie selections. Thanks Guys!
