  1. My grandfather once said this. "You maybe right, but I don't give a dam." another good one is "that's nice, if you like that sorta thing."

    The Lone Ranger (2013)

I don't know maybe they should of got a real native actor like Val Kilmer he would of won both sides of the fence. to be truthful i've lost my train of thought when it comes to this subject, it's getting stupid and i have forgotten my original point. I've had a long day today, and have gotten off subject and forgot my original point, because of all the misdirection and crazyness that has been going on here in my home. On that note i say good day to you sir. I like what cat & beard said - I agree to disagree and I'm out of this thread, smart thinking. or as my grandfather would say you maybe right but I don't give a dam..LOL ohh lord god bless.

    The Lone Ranger (2013)

The word Tonto is a derogatory word it's self. look at it like this if you call a native American Tonto and odds are your going to get sand in your face, to put it lightly. so think how a native person would see Tonto as a character. Your not going to have a lot of native American's at your casting call. it's like if you had taken that al jolson movie and wanted to hire a African American to play his role in the film rather then some white guy so that you don't upset African American's. you think your going to get a lot of African American's at the casting call? it's not fucking likely. it's a racist character and you can clean it up and get a good director and do all the rewrites but it doesn't matter. Your going to upset people no matter what do you. It may make us white folk feel good to see a native American playing Tonto but your still going to upset Native American's who find that character offensive all together. it's like the drug store Indian. I think Disney was clearly trying to play it safe with this movie.

    Death Becomes Her

this is a cable box movie that is on none stop at any given time. i have to dare say it, i am with seanotron with this one. it's not bad but it's not great but it's not HDTGM level of crazyness.

    Southland Tales (2006)

I got around to watching The Box this weekend, I think Ryan Sz here recommend it to me . it's the last of Richard Kelly movies I've yet to have seen. I couldn't agree more with you about Donnie Darko and Philip K. Dick. I also sorta like Southland Tales but I found at times it tried to hard at times. I think it could of been a great movie like Donnie darko but it wasn't. I blame Justin Timberlake for ruining this movie for me. but it's hard to pin the nail on the donkey here. it's simply not Richard Kelly best work. I feel he over loaded the film with a lot actors who didn't really add much to the story. like ohh look there is Christopher Lambert and some of the Donnie darko actors. that clearly had no place in this film. I only hope he doesn't do anymore studio type movies like the box. as you can clearly tell from watching that film that he had another story in mind yet tried to incorporate the twilight zone "the box" story theme into his story. but it didn't work. But love this movie or hate it, you got to love Dwayne Johnson AKA the rock he delivers in this movie a entertaining night of good movie watching. Plus The Pixies - "Wave of Mutilation" god I love that song. This movie had elements that are good but it just all didn't connect or work well together in the end. Dare I say it i like this movie but it doesn't work, like Donnie darko did.

    The Lone Ranger (2013)

I got to see this movie this weekend and I have to dare say it, I kinda enjoyed this movie. it was years better then man of steel that was what I was expecting it to be. just a big CGI movie with over the top actors who have no real place in the super man world. IE Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner. what i kinda liked about this movie was Johnny Depp is never letting you down with his entertaining performance. I don't think there is such a thing as a bad Johnny Depp movie. Ok maybe there is one but I've always enjoyed his movies and I am not saying he is the worlds greatest actor but I do enjoy his movies and maybe Tonto was a bit too much like Jack Sparrow character as you can clearly tell he's not at all playing a native American at all. but after thinking about the lone ranger. the character Tonto is a racist character to begin with so it doesn't matter who you get to play him. your going to step on peoples feet no matter what you do. I am not saying this is a five star movie but I did enjoy it for what it was. I didn't expect to enjoy it based on the trailers, but I did. will I buy it on dvd and watch it again, hell no.

    Wild at Heart (1990)

I love wild at heart. it's a fucking master peace that movie. it's also got a kick ass sound track that I also love dearly. Then again what do I know, I like nice chicks who talk tough and look like they fuck like a bunny. To be truthful I find HDTGM favors movies that are unintentional disasters. mostly big hollywood mainstream flops. David lynch, David Cronenberg, Terry Gilliam are more like self medicated directors who know they are making crazy, less then mainstream movies. They know what they are doing. so they don't care if you don't like it. it's all part of the art process. it's sorta like when Andy Warhol would intentionally leave the mistakes on the a canvass as part of the process. The mistakes are done purposely. even if they look bad. now maybe dune was a bit crazy for it's time but it was a ok movie. maybe if David had CGI effects to tell that story it would of been better or maybe like most of the dune books they are books that can't be made into film movies. like Steven Kings The Dark Tower books. Dune wasn't David Lynchs idea but was a studio movie that he got sucked into making after he did The Elephant Man movie. also he got into a fight with the studio and demanded his name be taken of the credits and so it got named Alan Smitheeโ€Ž. Hollywood does deals with directors to wash each others backs. to get the movie you want you got to do this first for us. We still go a lot of better Nic Cage off his meds type, high on coke movies yet to do. like Vampires Kiss, and The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans. those are some way more crazy ass movies to watch. but they most likely never get made into a show. I am going back to making my lunch now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Bj-_qLXIWw

    Executive Decision (1996)

First Steven Seagal I've enjoyed since Machete. http://fyi.earwolf.com/movie/14206 I think this is one of those it's so bad it's good movies.

    Executive Decision (1996)

I agree this movie needs to be done. it's got a great mix of over the top actors in it. plus it's got the lost airliners in it, Oceanic Airlines. I forgot about this movie. it's got a stupid name that you some how forget about it. This movie got Steven Seagal a Razzie Award.

    X-Files: I Want to Believe

time flys when your having fun, or getting older so it seems.Carter got into a big legal lawsuit over the syndication rights to the xfiles so thats why it wasn't on tv for so long in reruns. I think most of that is cleared up now. so he can try and make money off of it.

    X-Files: I Want to Believe

I agree Seanotron. fox should of ended the show once David Duchovny wanted to leave the show. as it was the main story arc after all. but that's television. also who could forget the smoking man, aka cancer man. once you killed him off you had no good villain .

    X-Files: I Want to Believe

There is a x-files comic con panel this year, not sure if there is something in the works or if they're just doing a reunion. I hated the last x files movie it was the worst. You can't do a x files film with out aliens. I can't even remember how the tv series ended mind you they drag it on forever. Ohh well. I can't think of anything really all that funny about any of the X files movies for a good show. it's too bad what they did to that show. it could have been better.

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009)

PlanBFromOuterSpace thanks for posting about that film the"Filth", it look's brilliant. I watched the red band trailer on you tube. I like the part with the doctor and the drugs, scene played by actor Jim Broadbent, Most people would know him from Moulin Rouge and Harry Potter. based on what i watched it looks like it could be a good film.
  15. Shannon I think you should just lock this thread down. if paul and the gang are not going to do this movie it's only going to get worse as people join this group and request this film. You should post something in the lines of we are not doing this film so quit asking for it. LOCKED Topic... thats how other message boards would deal with this subject.
  16. Sorry Shannon, Stupied spell checker stops working on me, it gets blocked by my adblock in my browser and then I don't notice. how are these movies being selected? because they are not films that we are discussing here?
  17. This is going to sound like a logical question but does the FYI page count how many times we vote on a none selected movies on the list. like say we all vote for meat balls on that site will it show that? Like if I tell people to vote for a movie that is not on the list will it get counted.?

    Clifford (1994)

I don't know if I've ever seen this movie, it looks amazing. it's like they wanted to do a kids film like Problem Child but could not find a child like actor to play the kid so they got Martin Short to play a stand in and just said fuck it lets use Martin Short.. what could go wrong! Martin Short clearly isn't a little kid LOL... I still like Martin Short after watching some of this movie. I have to say he's still super ass funny after all these years. he was on Saturday night live, earlier this year and he stole the show away and reminded me how unfunny Saturday night live is. as he was a great entertainer on that show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOruvWTKPkw isn't he so cute don't you just want to adopt him..

    Gymkata

I can't figure out what time frame this movie is in. I mean it's clearly shot in the 1980's but at times you don't know if it's modern times or ancient times. because at one point in the film you don't really see any modern cars or things like that. There is a great part in this film when he gets his training and the master has a hock on his arm and one of the other trainers who is this black guy is riding around him on a horse like in the old spice commercial, it's almost that bad. You guys have to watch this film it's over the top crazy. even if it doesn't get picked for HDTGM it's still good fun to watch. BTW It's Ka Rot TEE hahaha

    Hot to Trot (1988)

I think i listen to this show, it was right around when bob cat was promoting, god bless America. Good movie to check out. you guys if you have not yet seen it, lots of fun. http://www.theqandap...-america-q.html added later: I did hear this show it's too funny. the interviewer makes the mistake of bring up hot to trot and good old Goldsmith just grills him a new one in what turns out to be a one hour roast the host, it's too funny. I hate to promote another shows podcast but it's all done in good intentions.
