how About some old school 80's movies???
jarrycanada replied to The Doctor's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Ya thats what I was thinking. the other three i've never heard of. They are by no means to the level of My Tutor. -
i watched this movie, it's not that bad. seems to be a lot of movies like this. The Wild Hunt was a good one. I can't wait for Knights of Badassdom. I am really looking forward to this film as it has Peter Dinklage & Summer Glau, Steve Zahn. looks like a good film but it's been shelved once already and it's going to be released this year or so they promiss. .

Ewoks: The Battle For Endor (1985)
jarrycanada replied to Skeevins's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
it's a breath taking adventure! I remember seeing this as a kid, but I don't remember enjoying it. I would pay to have carrie fisher shock therapy to have this removed from memory. I don't know where anyone would even see that. even if they did a show. -
I never saw Jumper because it had Hayden Christensen in it. Revolver on the other hand wasn't that bad. Jason Statham + Ray Liotta = good night of movies. as far as my book goes.

I watched Sushi Girl the other night was not bad. it makes me wounder how they are going to pull off a new starwars movie because Mark Hamill is really overweight now. don't even get me started about carrie fisher. I guess they are going to use a lot of CGI effects. Ohh man, disney may as well own the franchise because it's going to be a animated feature by the time they get done with it. Ryan Sz, you would enjoy John Dies at the End. from the director of Bubba Ho-Tep. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1783732/ Wish I could say it's as good as BHT but it's still a good friday night movie. if you like big bugs you'll love john dies at the end, good fun movie.

How have the Star Wars prequels not been done yet?
jarrycanada replied to MatthewVanZandtLucas's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Ya got my vote. mesa want to see this. anyone ever seen the phantom edit. some guy had taken the movie and edited out all of the boring parts of the movie in a way that made it better. NO big Gungan fight. 80% less jar jar. it was great and it proves a good point that the editing of this movie was bad. but it still sucked. -
I wish i could say yes to this project but that would mean I would have to rewatch it...
-
it's on youtube if you look on google, scroll down to the part youtube playlist. not going to post it here don't want to get anyone into trouble. part of it is anyway.

I Would of swear that they did this movie at one point, but I had gone back and checked and could not find it. listed, maybe they just talked about doing this show and didn't do it. not sure.

This movie wasn't that bad, The ending was ok at best. Not great but I would watch a sequel if it was made. I would look forward to it more openly then dare I say it the new Star wars movies. I don't even think J.J. Abrams can save that dead franchise. Don't even get me started about midi-chlorians gees what a mess. I would watch this movie again over phantom.

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004)
jarrycanada replied to TateAustin's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
You sure you could sit through this movie again, it's a hard one to watch twice. I think I've only seen parts of it on cable. -
Back when Jason Statham still had hair. I've never seen this movie...add it to my list... thanks

I didn't mind this movie, but I didn't love it. I read the graphic novel and I loved that and I would recommend highly to anyone before watching this movie to read the graphic novel before hand even if your not into comic books forsay. What wrecked the movie version for me was the voice dialogue of Dr. Manhattan, he just didn't work. he sounded less heroic. fix the voice acting and I would love this movie. I would of recommend patric stewart he would of sold this movie... 5 stars. I am just kidding by the way. I don't really know who could of done it..

I watched this movie the other night, both part one and part two. it feels like a made for tv movie and makes you question if it ever really did play in theaters to begin with. it feels like a right to video type of movie. I love Ray Wise and Twin peaks so as soon as part two was realeased it peaked my curiosity so I watched it. I was really very boring this really terribly bad told movie doesn't seem to ever really go anywhere. I am not sure it would make a great edition to the HDTGM show. The first part has no real actors in it that you've ever heard of and the second part has some actors if you can call them that, that you may have seen in television. even teller of the magic group Penn and teller shows up for a cameo and he even talks... there is this repeated theme of who is John Galt who keeps showing up in a trenchcoat at certain parts of the movie but mostly at the end of a scene at key events in the movie. but it's never really explained why he shows up or who he is and we never see his face at all. this is all setup for part three i think. they quickly cut away. It's overly confusing this film at times and it seems like a simple story but it takes place over two generations of familys. it has a lot of strong themes about goverment and oil companys controlling prices and taxs. sorta whats going on right now. but I found my self well losing interest in it as fast as I got into it. not sure if I'll watch part three.. ohh well. BTW I never read the book, I feel like officer bob brady after he learned to read and was given this book. LOL I am sure it's a good book but I'll never know.

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
jarrycanada replied to Chrisg's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Speaking of Collectors Editions there is a good piece over at gamestop about all that game collectable stuff people buy, guess it's not going to win you a spot on antiques roadshow anytime soon. When it comes to dragon voices, Sean Connery's got that market tied down. -

You had me with Ray Liotta, Ron Perlman. two Solid actors who never give up artistic integrity for the sake of financial gain. -
can they ship these shirts to canada? just asking because for some companys it's problem.

I was kind of like that with tron, I remember as a kid seeing that movie so many times that the film broke and as adult I got it on dvd and was quickly set back by how cheap everything looked to me. I guess as a kid my imagination sorta filled in what was good and terrible about the film but as a adult I got more critical. I think i am maybe getting Willow mixed up with Labyrinth, I have not seen any of these movies in so long it's sorta all mixing together in my mind as one film. for some reason I was thinking david bowie was in WIllow but he wasn't clearly when I looked it up in IMDB. all I remember about willow is that George Lucas had writien it and it was a big let down from starwars. I don't think George had writen a bad movie yet. I love IMDB, because when i typed in willow it recommend me LadyHawke. what a gem this is. Ladyhawke http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089457 Matthew Broderick,Rutger Hauer say those two names together and it hurts. theres a winner winner chicken dinner.
