How To Get U2's Attention
StanSitwell replied to DorkyButCool's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
As long as people can get their exams pushed back and bad grades nullified I think you'll have support for the protests -
Episode 19 — U2 Holiday Special
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
So was everyone blown away by Weirdo Scotty's smash hit "Tangelo"? I want to hear more of that, and I love how as the show goes on we get these little nuggets like the fact that scott made parody U2 songs and finally thought to bring it up a year after they started this -
I'm holding out hope that he didn't show up for his own show but will show up with Kroll for an early 2015 show to promote the new season of Kroll Show. Them coming back on as George & Gil would make my year

Episode 19 — U2 Holiday Special
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
wait what? What is the late late show, the currently Craig Ferguson and will be hosted by that British guy I've never seen before (except for the colbert report the other night)? I'm pretty damn bummed about this, Reggie is at the very top of my list of comedians/musicians I must see live before I die. I finally live in a major city, so I thought it would just be a matter of time, but him having an actual every day gig could severely ruin the chances of him touring much -
When can we expect to see Greystroke's GreaseNog at our local grocer's?

Merry Christmas to us all, and to all.... I hope you've found what you're looking for -
Episode 326 — 2014 Holiday Spectacular
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I could listen to him pronounce coital position all day long -
Stard next year you could bully them into making a parody of "The Bugle" called "The Bundle" for ad breaks

Episode 206 — The San Diego Mindset
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Affirmation Nation with Bob Ducca
Kroll NEEDS to come back as Gil Faizon. I know the guru-ism makes Sandy a good guest for Affirmation Nation, but Gil and Bob could complain about their physical ailments all night and I'd be happily listening -
I disagree with all of this disagreement with agreements but I have a similar annoyance with Howard's downing something. That Bruno Mars song, shit is funky as hell and to me is a saving grace for the radio. He has his opinion, and I listen for those opinions, but I dont think he gives the man a fair shot, he goes in hating Bruno Mars and never looks back They said it sounds like James Brown and How's point was that if you're going to do something that sounds like something, take it someplace new instead of just copying a style. I agree with the thought, and that song (to me) does something new. It doesn't at all sound like a song James Brown would come out with, sounds like they took some of that funky vibe, added in some morris day and the time vibe, and a few other sounds and came up with something poppy and retro, but not too cheesy and gumdrop like Taylor Swift "Shake it Off"

everyone loves Mash-em-ups

Has Groban been on the podcast yet? They could have some chats about white shorts and tan skin, really pops!

I'm trying to figure out how I can find time to go see interstellar before they stop showing it in IMAX, because I hate listening to the whooch/twooch and fearing serious spoilers every time the film comes up. But I lost it when Howard compared string theory to learning about trash compactors in star wars, vintage Howard Thanks for the help, I figured it was stard but it didn't look like him at all

Sometimes you wanna go, where every season is summah for real that photoshop job on Howard's head is hilarious but who is front left? Having trouble identifying that one So for "starbucks lovers" the Taylor Swift song they pitched, it would just be clips of her mixed with clips of Jason Alexander in the Nickelback video as a barista intercut with each other, get on that chartists

I usually watch them within the weekend of their original airing but I don't think the comedy is on par with the podcast usually. This past week's was pretty good, Lapkus killed it and the bit about bloopyjays and hammerjammers ruined me

The most important part, which Howard did not comment on, was that Spinderella is there too in one shot

I'm sure people like you know what Battle Royale is, I do and I'm not that in tune with the underground movie scene, foreign movie scene, or any and everything Chinese/Japanese in entertainment. If it makes you feel any better I've heard that said many times, but at the end of the day there are fewer and fewer story ideas that could be considered really new and fresh. Just about any out there storyline is going to have something that resembles something that came before it, unless its so outlandish and insane that it's awful

Which Movies Does HDTGM Absolutely Need To Review?
StanSitwell replied to Blast Hardcheese's topic in How Did This Get Made?
So you hate anything that is massively popular and mainstream basically? That to me was the obvious takeaway from these comments. The Thin Red Line was one of the only films you mentioned liking that I can immediately recall, though I never saw it. I enjoy movies, but wouldn't ever consider myself a harsh critic, I am honest about it. I take a movie for what it is, so if I end up finding some childrens movie 20 minutes in on a sunday morning, I might watch the rest and say "that was good for what it was", and I wont compare it to movies like the Godfather or Citizen Kane. If I watch some Scorcese movie and the whole thing is just laughable, I am honest about that, and at the end of the day I do truly enjoy a 'good' bad movie to drink a few beers and make fun of with friends -
When Frodo and Han Solo won't come record a solo bolo
StanSitwell posted a topic in New Catchphrase Suggestions
When Frodo and Han Solo won't come record a solo bolo, I like to look myself in the mirror and say "YOLO... at least I'm not a hobo and I've still got some cocoa and that bag of Hoho's" -
yikes! reading comprehension in a post totaling about 60 words? was the OP writing "to be very clear this is no slight against Mo" not enough to get the sense that they were not criticizing him? Just wanted to name drop? okay

I'm trying to eagerly await the next Kroll episode of CBB, which will come soon enough with Kroll Show starting soon. it's tough to be eager though, I'm anxious as all hell -
Best of 2014: Stump for favorite episodes here!
StanSitwell replied to CrustyDustReceptacle's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
If you want to be even more sold on it than you already are, you should go back and listen to some of the oldies. I guarantee if you like the show already, you'll love these: 174, 176, all of the farts and procreation episodes (chelsea peretti, harris wittels, adam scott as the guests) but the third one lost a bit of steam -
Lauren Lapkus is in Jurassic World and I want to talk about it
StanSitwell replied to Darbler Cheesegarbler's topic in General Earwolf
I would bet money on her being a tour guide or maybe a coworker of Pratt's dino trainer character. She's young, and has the perfect lanky frame to play a frantic tour guide freaked out about escaped dinosaurs -
Which Movies Does HDTGM Absolutely Need To Review?
StanSitwell replied to Blast Hardcheese's topic in How Did This Get Made?
and.... his name is spelled Matt Dillon. I thought most HDTGM fans were movie buffs, so this caught me off guard. Maybe the crowd is the opposite, people who don't like movies and therefore like to watch only the bad ones -
Which Movies Does HDTGM Absolutely Need To Review?
StanSitwell replied to Blast Hardcheese's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Agreed, it was a pretty F'ed up movie. I'm wondering if the person who is saying it deserves the HDTGM treatment never saw it, because I'm no Michael Bay fan (saw the first transformers and none after it) but I was dragged to that movie in the theaters by friends and I didn't dislike it at all. I was actually blown away by the Rock's ability to play those coked up scenes well for comedy, I like Anthony Mackie, and Wahlberg has his faults but was well cast as this criminal who deep down kind of thinks he's still a nice guy and wants to be liked by the community
