    The Ninth Gate (1999)

There's so much wrong with this movie, I think my favorite part has to be that Lucifer was actually hand drawing and initialing his own illustrations for the various copies of the book. I can just picture Satan sitting at a drafting table surrounded by a bunch of crumpled up drawings that just quite didn't make the cut.

    Episode 138.5 - Minisode 138.5

This movie is a perfect choice. It's fucking weird, makes zero sense. And Sean Patrick Flannery turns in one of the stranger performances i've seen in quite a while.

    Simply Irresistible (1999)

    A very deserving pick.

    Was your Grandfather Frank Langella?

    The Glass House (2001)

I dont know they do say that trouble comes in three's. So I think its a fair assessment to say that Diane Lane had a fairly significant role in 9/11.

    Liberty Stands Still (2003)

Strange movie that came out around the same time as Phone Booth, which was clearly the better of the two. Why someone felt we needed two movies based around snipers holding people on a phone hostage at the same time is beyond me.

    Liberty Stands Still (2003)

These were both filmed prior to the DC sniper. They held back the release of Phone Booth but Liberty stands still was insanely enough released straight to dvd during the time the attacks were happening.

    Double Impact (1991)

JCVD also did Replicant where he's a clone of a serial killer.

    The Glass House (2001)

She was the Claire Forlani of her era.

    Money Train (1995)

This movie is long overdue for some much needed attention.

    Episode 137.5 - Minisode 137.5

Also, in relation to Game of Thrones talk, the biggest disappointment for me over the last season and even heading into this far superior season, mainly stems from the show writers resorting to some pretty hacky plot devices and lazy character deaths. Namely alot of the major character deaths this season have been by small daggers. Apparently tiny daggers are big theme this season. Last seasons Dorne storyline was some of the worst writing i've seen on an otherwise spectacular show. Its pretty mindblowing how badly they botched that whole thing. They spent an endless amount of time hyping up the Sand Snakes before the season began, leading up to their terrible dialogue and to easily the most choreographed and laughable fight sequence in the entire series. Which is even more glaring considering it had to follow last seasons fight with the Hound and Brienne which was fucking amazing.

    Episode 137.5 - Minisode 137.5

First off, I am pretty bummed they wont be doing DragonHeart this week. As someone who enjoyed the movie as a kid, subsequent viewings have indeed not been kind to the film. Second, how dare they do another J.Lo movie that isn't Money Train.

    Dragonheart (1996)

I wonder if June will feel that Thewlis was also ultimately mis-cast in this movie as well. I liked this movie as a kid but I do remember that Thewlis performance in this movie was a little unsettling, and it was always hard to take him seriously as any kind of physical threat to Dennis Quad.
  14. Less an earnest suggestion because its almost impossible to find online, more a "does anyone remember this garbage?" This was a weird one because it was Roger Corman attempting to breach the family friendly audience with a much more lighthearted fare than he was usually producing. It actually has a pretty amazing cast for what it is, Rod Steiger, Martin Sheen, Kate Mulgrew, Joe Mantegna, Donkey Lips. Three boys find a nuclear bomb and begin threatening the President of the United States unless he introduces a childrens rights bill. Really dont think they could get away with a plot like that in todays political climate. http://www.amazon.co...a/dp/B007J74KPI

    Best Defense (1984)

haha the search function fails again my bad, nothing showed up under defense for some reason. Im just glad I wasnt the first one to suggest this horrible movie.

    Like Father, Like Son (1987)

Bump cause Dudley Moore deserves some attention on this podcast. He was a national treasure but he really was in some godawful fucking movies.

    Best Defense (1984)

Pretty fucking surprised this one hasnt been mentioned before on here. This was originally a Dudley Moore led movie, but had famously terrible screenings. So someone had the bright idea to write a role for Eddie Murphy for the movie because he was just emerging as a huge star. One problem, the movie had already been filmed. Rather than let that deter them, they invented a new plot and role for Eddie Murphy and then just edited in his scenes concurrent with the already finished movie with Dudley Moore. The end result is fucking awful.

Arthur 2: On the Rocks (1988)

Yes please, or the one where Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron switch bodies using magic hot sauce.
  19. As fun as it would be to delve into the psyche of racist shitheads, I'm going to give a hard pass. Also how's about we don't link to websites like Stormfront on this board.

    In The Army Now (1994)

I really hope we never put the team in a position where they have to discuss either Paul Shore or noted piece of shit Andy Dick.

    Hello Again (1987)

Shelley Long chokes on a chicken bone and comes back as a zombie who must find true love in this very bad\wonderful 80's rom-com. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/hello_again/

    Blank Check (1994)

I feel like the episode would have to be three hours long to cover the amount of insanity displayed in this movie.

    Drowning Mona (2000)

It's more just mean spirited and ugly than dry to me. The movie even ends with what is supposed to be the most honest character basically being totes cool with his son in law trying to murder someone.

    Don't Tell Her It's Me (1990)

If they don't cover this movie at some point i'd be pretty sad.

    Drowning Mona (2000)

And it doesn'the help that a majority of the flashbacks are supposed to be horseshit. It reminds me of that episode of X files with the vampire that couldn't stop himself from counting things that had been spilled. And they did those goofy flashbacks with luke wilson.
