    Fantastic Mr. Fox

They also covered the last two Fast and the Furious movies that were both well received and they fucking loved. The podcast is much more fun when they dont restrict it to just one thing. I'd much rather they continue to also cover very weird but otherwise enjoyable movies than just doing movies like Gooby or Easy Rider 2 which were not an enjoyable watch It's just funny to me that when people post movies that are generally popular, people lose their fucking minds and accuse the OP's of being in a thought vaccum when they assume that the gang also wouldnt enjoy it. Dont we all do that with every movie we recommend? Who knows how June, Paul or Jason are going to react to a movie. Jason was a fan of the Odd life of Timothy Green, June loved Daredevil, After Earth, and Jack Frost before the second act plot twist, much to the bewilderment of everyone else on the panel to name a few. My main objection is that you faulted the OP for just having an opinion and then calling them a hipster for not liking the film.

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

Scent of a woman is another highly rated movie I would fucking love for them to cover.

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

Oh don't be silly OP did nothing of the sort, they posted the movie and their reasons for not enjoying it. As for it being well received by critics. Face/Off is at 90 percent on rotten tomatoes. Would you fault the OP on that one as well?

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

    Hearst wouldt mind.

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

I very much enjoy a Wes Anderson film, that being said they have a very specific aesthetic. One that i'm not at all surprised doesnt resonate with everybody. To say that the OP is somehow foolish for posting this film as a recommendation is just silly. What makes a bad movie is incredibly subjective, Zouks's insistence that Face/Off is such a fucking awesome movie that precludes it from being done should be rather heavy evidence of that.

Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies (1999)

My wiiiife, loves this movie. Itd be a very fun podcast.

    Quick Change

It's an amazing movie, it really doesn't. I more just wanted to bring peoples attention to this movie. Because its criminally underseen. Although this scene to this day sticks with me as being such a strange but beautiful bit of randomness.

    Quick Change

Bill Murray robs a bank dressed as a clown and spends the rest of the day trying to get out of the city with an in her prime Geena Davis and also in his prime Randy Quaid. Great movie but very strange.

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

People are allowed to not like Wes Anderson movies. I'd say if you grabbed a random group of strangers and made them watch The Life Aquatic, at least 50% would tell you to go fuck yourself afterwards. I would say this particular movie I cant see being done just because its so completely different from any other movie they've done. It'd be the first animated film they've done and there are certainly far more well deserving animated films to do first before tackling this film.

    The Island of Dr Moreau

This documentary is going to be wonderful. They did switch roles, Val was cast as Thewlis's role but then demanded that his role be cut out of significant amount of the film. Rather then do that they recast the role with David Morrow, who later quit. It then ended up going to Thewlis, who i'm sure was on a very short list of actors who'd want to sign up to join what im sure was already widely regarded as a fucking disaster of a film. He had so much pull he managed to do what Nic Cage tried to do on Trespass and switched from hero to villain mid-filming.

    Monkeybone (2001)

Journey to the center of the earth, mummy 3, that movie where Harrison Ford gets grumpy inventing medicine, George of the Jungle. Even Blast from the past is a worthy choice. He really is due.

    The Postman (1997)

I'd rather they get Tom Petty to explain what the fuck he was doing in this movie.

    Van Helsing (2004)

I liked Sommers first two mummy movies, they were goofy but fun. Also the special edition dvd with like 4 different commentaries, including the solo Fraser one are all very entertaining. This movie was just bad. He had way too many ideas floating around with nothing to tether them together. Richard Roxborough was delightfully over the top in this one. I just fucking love that the plot of this movie revolves around Dracula needing Frankenstein as a power source for his baby vampire hatchery.

    The Postman (1997)

This one would be hard to do just because its so goddamn long, with vast stretches devoted to very little onscreen action.

    Teen Witch

I really hope they do this. I have a sneaking suspicion that June might fucking love the movie though.

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

As for hating Wes Anderson, dont worry guys Gene Hackman has that on lockdown. He already emotionally terrorized him.

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

I can definitely understand why people enjoy Snowpiercer, its a very stylistic movie with a great cast. The logical inconsistencies absolutely destroyed the movie for me though. Theres just way too much that makes zero fucking sense for me at all take it seriously. Dat ending tho. I dont think i've seen a bigger fuck you to the audience from a film in quite some time. Oh well it gave us the line "Now I know that babies taste the best" If theres a line that can justify that movies existence its that.

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

To be fair, I fucking hated Snowpiercer, which is a very well received movie both by critics and by this board and I still think it warrants a podcast. As for Wes Anderson, I loved Life Aquatic and Royal Tenenbaums, everything else hes done has been great but I think he peaked with those two.

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

Its a very well received Wes Anderson film. This movement wont gain much traction.

    Episode 102.5 — Minisode 102.5

Cant wait to hear all about how Sean Connery is grossing up all these emotionless women.

    Episode 102.5 — Minisode 102.5

Face/Off is an amazing/terrible movie. One of my favorite things in the world is a discussion where Patrice O'neal first defends and than realizes mid conversation how garbage the movie is.

    Oscar (1991)

Landis shouldnt have had a career after the Twilight zone movie.

    Drop Dead Fred (1991)

She made the right choice, she peaked in Fast Times. I do remember Princess Caraboo thoroughly confusing me when I watched as a kid. It is interesting that the movie was based on a true story.

    Merlin

It really was an insane mini-series. But it was fun, Sam Neill can do wrong in my book. In the Mouth of Madness gives him blanket immunity.

    Drop Dead Fred (1991)

I think June will veto Paul when it comes to this like Jason did with Face/Off. Didnt she say on a recent episode that she loves this movie?
