Whatever acclaim Shanley got with Doubt and his playwriting, should be null and void after his participation in both this and We're back: A Dinosaurs tale.

Episode 68 — Over The Top: LIVE!
Ofcoursemyhorse replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I'd give anything to find out who the hell Bobby was talking about when he said someones dad kicked his friend when they were kids. -
I remember Liev Schreiber pulling off drag like a champ in this movie.
-
Paul Reubens and Rupert Everett were genuinely enjoyable in the movie though.

Yea if they thought Stallone showing his wedding picture as I.D. in Over the Top was insane, wait till they see how Kurt Russell convinces the hospital to let him take Goldie home.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003)
Ofcoursemyhorse replied to Ofcoursemyhorse's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Yea its not that I wouldnt believe that Willem Dafoe couldnt possibly have been born in mexico or spain, hell Louis CK is a natural born mexican whose first language was spanish. Its the fact that they covered him in brown makeup and died his hair black that makes it a touch more insane. -

Still lobbying that this movie should be done. Tri-arm Johnny Depp is still one of my favorite things ever. -
I remember seeing this movie, but all I can vaguely picture in my head is some kind of worm/man that really enjoys maccaroons.

The best part in my mind is where they come up with whatever nonsense that leads to him being a goalie and blocking a shot mid movie.

Joe Piscopo's performance alone is worthy of discussion. Not too mention, I can almost guarantee that Piscopo would be so happy to be invited to be a guest on the show.

I remember watching this movie and being confused as to whether the city they were in was supposed to be New York, or Tokyo.

The First Wives Club (1996)
Ofcoursemyhorse replied to inactiveuser501's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Bette Midler supposedly made the director cry on set with how horrid she was being. -
I liked Pearce vs Pierce.

DO THIS MOVIE. Bronson Pinchot would be an off the charts delightful guest. -
This definitely deserves to be done. Unfortunately as has been pointed out, the best guest they could have ever gotten to do this would have been Patrice O'neal. That would have been an amazing podcast.

If anyone deserved a worst supporting role award, it should be Denis Leary.

I remember being blown away when Rufio got killed. Zero on screen deaths for the entire movie, except for Rufio who gets straight up stabbed in the belly.

Double Team (1997)
Ofcoursemyhorse replied to MusclesFromBrussels's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
While I agree this should be done, i'm fairly disappointed because I thought Double Team was Double Impact. An equally ridiculous movie where JCVD gets into a love triangle with himself.- 11 replies

Seeing this movie makes me happy Julia louis dreyfuss and Jason Alexander had decade long stretches between notable roles after Seinfeld. I feel like everyone involved in this earned having their SAG cards revoked.

I could see this happening, they should just invite Rebecca to be the guest. I can't imagine there's anyway she doenst already know this was a garbage movie.

Currently being remade with Russell Brand. I still love this insane movie, but I agree it should be done.

No, not the horrible one with Brendan Fraser and Sandra Bullock. The 1996 one featuring James Spader and Elias Koteas as people who enjoy a good car crash. I don't want to spoil anything about this movie, but its all kinds of delightful. I doubt Mantzoukas could make it to the end though. He'd more than likely self-pleasure himself into a coma. Enjoy the very NSFW trailer.

This movie was the first time i'd seen Powder without the powder. I'd just assumed he was a natural albino.

Thats a fair point. Although the show is called how did this get made? I think that question is very applicable to a movie with a premise and plot as insane as Crash. Holly Hunters intro in this movie is alone worthy of a whole hour of discussion. It is meant to be shocking, but at the same time the things that happen this movie constantly have me wondering how this was ever green lit. I'm still pretty amazed that Ebert enjoyed this movie as much as he did.
