Was it? Ugh. This movie had no sense of time or geography. Maybe the other fish controlled time -

I'm sad to see Taylor Anne go and with her goes my excuse to drink before noon. Hopefully somebody joining will be able to fill in the gaps. If everything is going right the link should be this: https://lets.rabb.it/886j/JNTI2JatYH -

Been fiddling around with rabbit since I got up. Everything should be a go. -
I spent the majority of this episode waiting for The Monster Fuck to be sung. It was not.

There is a line in IMDB trivia which says he he was inspired to make the opening comic montage it because the writer/director "always wanted to make a comic book movie" even though it is not based on a comic. The trivia is fascinating to read and probably written by the writer/director because it goes way into too much detail about the story and technology of the world.

Oh I agree. Also 110% more Shakespearean.

This is what I get for trying to type on my autocorrect phone. Also here is video of Cameron H dancing.
-
That's good too. I had another two songs of theirs shortlisted as well but wanted to keep it one song per band. I find the songs that help me clean are just any songs that makes me want to dance. So if there any particular songs that make you want to move your groove thing try putting those on and channeling that urge to dance into vacuuming.

This is a little tricky. I have songs that pump me up in a happy way (Sing a Happy Song by the O Jays) but don't give me energy per say. So here are some songs that give me that energy pumped up feeling (also mostly in genres to offset yours) And my personal pitch for my beloved DEVO

Musical Mondays Week 24 Reefer Madness

I want to see the kid who picks up a bowie knife as is like "hey this isn't sharp, no way this could hurt us." -
Which is funny because I believe it was made by the same guy that made Equilibrium which is basically "what if I infused the style and look of The Matrix with my CliffsNotes* understand of 1984" *I had to google this because it hit me that "Coles Notes" is only Canada

Musical Mondays Week 24 Reefer Madness

Sorry for jumping in late but been very sick the last two days and spent most of my free time sleeping or coughing or blowing my nose. First off, Welcome back Max. I might have missed you again though. Second, I kinda agree with a lot of what has been said. I enjoyed the movie but it could have been shortened. I liked that they used Alan Cummings character as a narrator, but was the PTA suppose to serve as like a Greek chorus? That aspect of it all just didn't seem to work. They should have had Alan Cummings be like the Amazing Criswell and introduce the film to the audience and he could still serve as a narrator. My biggest complaint with this film was just lack of historical accuracy. I know it's very nitpicky to say but the film has several anachronistic jokes or references which could easily have been changed to fit the late 30s better. Then again that might make it a different kind of film. Overall it was light and fun though with some good laughs. As far as Max's question goes, I remember being made to watch a lot of them throughout my schooling, along with the odd TV spot. The only really big anti-drug one I remember is Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue in which the biggest cartoons of the 80s stop a kid from doing drugs. However I am reminded of this PSA that use to show on Canadian TV when I was a kid that might be a good idea to be shown in American in these recent years: -
From my memory Ultraviolet is trying and failing to be Aeon Flux which itself is trying and failing to be Aeon Flux.
-
If I may ask are the ads there to offset the costs? As I said I remember this not being the case as a kid, so in recent years has the amount of money a theater makes off a movie gone down and they need to offset that by showing ads?
-
That's what I thought. Some people are just weird. Though Cameron H has a very plausible theory.

This has nothing to do with the mini, but I question I want some Americans to answer to satisfy my curiosity. Last night I went to see Thor Ragnarok in theaters and is the case with any super hero movie on opening night the theater is majority foreigners. In Japan they don't let you into the theater until 10 minutes before the movie starts and about 7 or 8 minutes before the movie starts they start to play a short pre-packed combination of mini-trailers, some "here's what's coming soon" information, and some random short animations usually. Then once it's show time the lights go down you get a few full length commercials and trailers plus a manners reminder. So again I'm surrounded by foreigners and one of them says to their friend, "why is this on before the trailers?" His friend replies "Don't they do this in America?" and he responses "No, we'd never do this. You get trailers when the movie starts and that's it." Now, that seems true to when I was a kid but the last time I saw a movie in North America was about seven years ago and I definitely recall watching commercials and that while waiting for the movie to start. Has this changed this? Is that guy right? What plays before movies where you're from?
