Fell free to rant about Fielding dying! We're all ears!
-
The question is are you going to be the one brave enough to try it? Please do and report back.
-
It's just raisins guys! While I agree anyone who likes raisins in coleslaw has something wrong with them, I'm just saying maybe we try it once before we judge.
-
I'm just saying maybe next time you have some coleslaw take a scoop out and put one or two raisins in it. Then mix it up and try. If it's nice you can add more and if not you have a whole untouched coleslaw left. I've eaten lots of weird things and weird combinations of things here in Japan and while not all of it has been a hit I'm surprised by how delicious some things have been. However you're right, there is no place for freaky-deaky crap in coleslaw. See we can still be friends! #inmycoleslaw

Musical Mondays Off-Week 15 (Joel_rosenbaum's Pick)

Just told my co-worker about this and their response "Sasha was one of the best queens but this was one of the most boring seasons. Was all TV bad?" Do not be mad at me, those are their opinions. -
What kind of sick fuck puts raisins in coleslaw? Seriously. Next thing you know they'll be telling you how their favourite cookie is oatmeal raisin and they grew up eating Raisin Bran every morning. Some people are just plain weird. Thankfully Paul put them in their place and luckily they can continue being friends. Maybe I'm being too harsh and maybe we should all try it just once. Or at least try it with another kind of fruit like apples.

Well, she's only in the first and briefly in the second. If you're going to watch any of them go with The Final Chapter which is part 4 because it's the best of what the series is all about and you also get Crispin Glover. It's almost a Star Trek thing with the even numbered ones being the good ones except 7 is better than 8 and once you get into the 90s very diminished returns. I like Nightmare too and I think a few of them are actually better movies than the any of the Friday the 13th films, but if I had to pick one or the other I'd go Friday the 13th. What's your ranking of the Nightmare movies? -

In the forth one, Bloodline, the one that is on a space ship Adam Scott is in the part of the story that takes place in 18th century France. He's not the box maker but like the other main French guy. It's been years I can't remember anything more specific. -

Well after the 3rd one you can stop with Hellraiser. Well I guess unless you want to see young Adam Scott. -

I love the Friday the 13th movies. I know they're not good but I have a soft spot for them. I think it's because 1 through 8 actually have a real continuity to them which is weird and rare for a horror franchise. -

I assume because so many people wear glasses here I got these special clip on 3D glasses for my glasses that the movie theater sells. Now I never got headaches but would sometimes feel nauseous in 3D movies. For some reason right around that time I stopped getting that feeling. It could be because it was like wearing nothing extra or just getting use to 3D in movies. Not sure. Also Are you watching them all or was it just this one for the 3D? -
Well Rae Dawn Chong is from Colorado, right? She says she was in a different state in 1994 at least. What I want to know is there a hierarchy or some sort of division to who gets to go to what period of time? Like instead of having a vice squad and a homicide department they have a "1920s division" and "hippie squad" of agents that are highly trained on a specific time period and its mannerisms and way of speaking. Alternatively maybe you have to run X number of missions in the recent past before you get to do something as big as jump back to the civil war.

Next week works for me, but the 28th might not but I won't know for sure until sometime next week. I like the idea of having a set time every month like the second Friday. If it goes really well maybe do some non-HDTGM movies on the off weeks for people interested and just not have a thread for them here.- 63 replies

Musical Mondays Off-Week 15 (Joel_rosenbaum's Pick)

While I can't comment on Spider-Man because it doesn't come out until August here (thank you all for not getting into spoilers) I don't think I'll go see in 3D for this reason. I think 3D only works in animation or heavy CGI movies just because it adds some depth to the image. The best use of 3D for me in a movie was maybe The Adventures of Tintin or Gravity. -
Thanks now I have that mental image in my head

Will look into it. I know I music shop that specializes in the weird and offbeat. I'll see if I can dig something up. I have seen about half the seasons, but getting slowly caught up because they are all on Netflix here. The other day on my train ride home my obsessed co-worker was playing for me the songs of Alaska Thunderfuck. -

I register an account anyway. Figured why not. I don't know if there is any point to listing what services I have because even though I have Hulu and Netflix I'm pretty sure the selections are different.- 63 replies

Stay in this Saturday midday or go out and enjoy the 34 degree weather? Hmmm... It's good for me too.- 63 replies

What do you think Rae Dawn Chong's plan was the night the goons tried to kill JVCD in his 2004 apartment? I mean she shows up after them so she's not with them, but she is "with them" in the sense she's working for Silva. Do you think she was a lookout for them? Was she the backup plan in case three hired goons failed to kill a sleeping man? Or was she working on her own plan in case the killing didn't go accordingly and she just happened to show up at the end?

If there were bowls of chips maybe Ruffles was doing a special promotional event for the launch of a new flavor or something. That would explain why it was in a mall and they were just out in the open. Maybe they were trying to launch All Dressed into the states when this happened and threw off the whole campaign and now America will never know the delight that is Ruffles All Dressed chips.
