"We really need to focus on your L4, also are you familiar with the works of Jim Starlin?"

War of Kings was good but then I'm kinda a sucker for all the cosmic Marvel stuff. I've been reading some of the current Inhuman books, and there are good elements overall but reads much like 90s X-Men, core members with history and new kinda meh characters everywhere. Vin Diesel would have been good, but that said I think Iwan Rheon is great casting for Maximus. You can see him trembling. That's what got me because you know it's real. Still would have been nice if Mark had gotten him a shirt.

The best thing I can say is I was never really that big into the Inhumans, so shouldn't be as painful as Iron First.
  5. As much as I like to hear your thoughts, I'd much rather hear about your safety and well being.
  6. I remember seeing this when it first came out. Very ambitious from what I remember. I'm interested in giving it a rewatch.

    Musical Mondays Week 9 Pete's Dragon (1977)

Today I had a long talk with my mother so you know what that means. It's time for the Ted Neeley Handsome Report! "So one of the movies we watched was Pete's Dragon." "We had that on VHS remember? You watched it all the time until we got Ghostbuster. I really loved Helen Reddy's voice. I had some of her records I believe." "What are your thoughts on Mickey Rooney?" "He was always creepy to me. Never cared for him. I mean he just seemed so off putting in everything he was in. I think your grandma liked him, but they're probably the same age. Were the same age, I think he's passed now. He was an odd little man." "Do you remember any of the other men in the movie?" "Red Buttons was in it, wasn't he? Your grandfather loved his hobo clown stuff." "Jeff Conaway was in it too." "Was he? I don't recall. I use to like him on Taxi it's so sad what happened to him." "I thought you'd like him from Grease." "I like Grease but... no when I think of him I think of Taxi." "What about him?" (show her a picture of Jim Dale) "I kinda remember him." "Handsome?" "Compared to the others? I suppose yes."
  8. Today I had a long talk with my mother so you know what that means. It's time for the Ted Neeley Handsome Report! "Have you ever heard of High School Musical?" "Like the ones you were in?" "No, it's a Disney movie." "Never heard of it." "Do you know Zach Efron?" "No. If they're younger than you and your sister and weren't on one of your shows I don't know who they are." "He's gotten pretty famous lately. He was in that Matthew McConahaughey Nicole Kidman movie a few years ago. I'll show you a picture." "Not interested. I'm old, I don't want to think about people younger than you that way."
  9. CakeBug, can you hear that? I believe that's the sound of the music being stopped.
  10. Do you think the team was named the Wildcats in the script or that's just the name of the team at the school they shot at and decided to run with it? If that's not the case kudos for spending a chuck of your budget on a wildcat statue to sit in the background of scenes.
  11. Kateacola, you're from Arizona and that is next to New Mexico so is Arizona a big basketball state? Or is this not how states and sports work?
  12. Literary dick jokes are the most high brow of dick jokes.
  13. What if he refers to her by her last name because she was a teacher when he was a student there and old habits are hard to break? Also if his office is in with the showers and changing area how is Ms. Darbus able to freely walk in there?
  14. I think we've done a good job establishing it is the mother in Troy's family who is the bread earner. This combined with your point about him not teaching makes me wonder if he volunteer to coach the basketball team just to get out of the house. I mean how could East High refuse their former star player offering to come back and coach right?
  15. (I apologize if I repeating, I forget all what has been said and just going through the last of my notes) Troy's dad is a terrible coach, right? I mean the only person we see him coaching is Troy. Outside of that where is he during the practices? Nowhere to be found. When the players want to know what to do at practice who do they ask? Troy not him. If you just go to the gym and makes shots or practice shooting outside the J, without some one standing there giving you advice on how to improve your technique or form, i.e. coaching, how are you expected to get better or beat the Knights?
  16. So when Martha moves on and becomes a cheerleader in the later films has she given up on her academic passions?
  17. I think it would help explain the weird closeting of Ryan.
  18. So Martha is part of the smart kids, right? Now there are some obvious issues around her love of hip hop not fitting with the stereotype of smart kid, but rather I want to talk about her fellow brainiacs. Why isn't Taylor part of this group? Also why aren't any of these kids on the decathlon team at the end? These are just the kids that are smart and like studying but weren't good enough to make the team? They had an opening because Gabriella got on.
  19. The class in which Gabriella corrects the teachers appears to be a math class, yet they are clearly in a science room. Also, theater class has an actual classroom and they don't use the theater? All my theater classes at school were in the theater.
  20. True. Following the time line of this story the movie should be taking place in January right?
  21. Is there any reason they need to set this story in New Mexico? I mean not to crap on New Mexico or anything but do we need that information? Does it pertain to the plot in anyway? The only thing I can think of is that I know depending on where in Texas you are, it's not that uncommon to drive to Colorado for vacation. New Mexico, if I remember my geography, is also close to Colorado right? Is this to explain that they drove to the resort in the beginning thus saving money so they can still be lower income families? Otherwise I just don't get why we need that information.
