Actors who are underrepresented on the show
Blueman29X replied to Lando's topic in How Did This Get Made?
The new Adam Sandler movies don't really bother me that much, probably because I've never really liked them to begin with. It is worth noting however that in addition to getting worse, his movies are getting more and more transparent. Jack and Jill really should have just been called Adam Sandler Wants a New Boat/House. -
Sorry. It just really looked like a fake movie. If I were to go off of the trailer and nothing else, I would assume that the movie was an SNL short directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. As for Ethan Hawke, I haven't seen too much of him recently, which is a shame because I remember thinking he was good in Gattaca.

Is this a real movie?

The Happening - (it's never happening, but talk about it if you want)
Blueman29X replied to temjeito's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I really think Scheer puts it best: That to me sums up The Happening really well. Personally, I don't have any problems with making fun of M. Night, but I guess that's because I don't really see him as someone who especially loves movies. Lady in the Water was sort of the last straw for me. At that point, I came to the conclusion that he was really in it for himself. It's totally fine if you disagree though. It's not like anyone really knows what goes on in his head. On the matter of doing movies that were made with a lot of heart and passion, I don't really feel that guilty. I understand that some people put a lot of effort into their movies, but if HDTGM gave a pardon to every movie like that, the show probably wouldn't exist. In every project, there are always people who really believe in their movie. And even so, covering a movie on the podcast isn't really condemning them, nor is it condemning the movie itself. Movies occasionally just don't work for whatever reason, and I think that's okay. Failure can be beautiful sometimes, and I really appreciate how the podcast does its best to celebrate that! I want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to post this. It's really refreshing to get a different perspective every once and a while! -
They could even do a Miley triple-feature with The Last Song, LOL, and Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Lots of valid points all over the place. It's also worth noting VMA performances are known for being absolutely crazy already, so I'm guessing that it was more of a publicity thing that an actual reflection on her.

That line confused me. Was it supposed to be intentionally funny? I assume that when they were writing the script, that line was intended to be the comedic highlight of the film, but for me it really fell flat.

I remember reading an interview with the director. Apparently, he shot this in only five days. Also, he's currently teaching at a film school somewhere in the Philippines (it wouldn't surprise me if some people have petitioned him to stop).

Thanks for bringing that up. When nobody said anything about it, I became more and more convinced that I just imagined the whole thing.

He quite possibly could have been. His IMDb page says that he was in a movie called Jungle Heat.

That sounds like a bad idea… If you do end up watching it, would you please report back when you finish it (granted it doesn't kill you)?

All the way across the sky? I like how despite being told he can't have a gun, he is given one anyway. Granted, it only fires razor blades and never reappears in the film, but the principle still stands.

I guess Hollywood must have some pretty poor understanding of what "kata" is, seeing as how in Equilibrium, Christian Bale knows gunkata. Of course, that doesn't really stop him from killing everyone with guns.

I don't doubt that an Oblivion episode would be great, but if I would prefer something that enters the realm of Samurai Cop/Miami Connection. Then again I haven't seen Oblivion yet, but from all the talk on the forum, I'm gathering that its not the most enjoyable experience. Really? I always assumed it was a buddy cop movie starring Felicia Day and the ghost of Ted Knight. *Chirp* *Chirp* *Chirp*

I think the movie would be about a thousand times better if it was just the last 30 minutes.

Just off the top of my head Jacob Wolf comes to mind.

I have a question about guns in the movie. They're supposed to be illegal but a few people still have them. That would mean that guns are fairly easy to smuggle in to Parmistan right? In that case why did Samir not feel the need to get guns for his personal army? In a country where guns are banned, actually having some guns would be incredibly advantageous for a militia.

I assumed he agreed because of his father, but I don't think anyone can say for certain.

Do you think they would watch this movie despite Jason's mortal fear of clowns?

MOD NOTE: Please check existing threads before posting a new one
Blueman29X replied to Shannon's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but can we do anything about the search bar not letting you use three-letter words in searches? I think if it was easier to search for movies, people might not form threads for movies that were already suggested. -
Quick question… If guns are illegal in Parmesan, and use/ownership of one is a crime punishable by death, then why do characters even have them?

(Also I felt that they thought After Earth was more a Boring Movie that a flat out stupid one, Just my opinion, now I'm done)

Preemptive recommendation: "Triplets"--the sequel to "TWINS"
Blueman29X replied to EarlwolfGuy's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I'll just leave this right here. -
I would pay to see that.
