    so glad they talked about Opportunity Knocks... such a funny/dumb movie.

     

    I also wish they'd talked about the Road to Wellville -- my friend and I saw it in high school and 90% of the 20 people there got up and left halfway through it, but we were dying laughing and it was a touchpoint for quotes for us for the next year. it was just solidly stupid comedy that was indescribably hilarious.

    loved the rando shoutout to Failure, totally awesome band who released an amazing album last year after a 20 year hiatus.

    the confusion about the name understandable bc the other longtime member of Failure is Greg Edwards, so it's easy to see how Ken Andrews could become "Ken Edwards"

     

    btw the other band Greg Edwards is in is Autolux and they are also awesome.

     

    double btw, i know it was all dudes but at least one of them was iranian (i kid. we all know zouks is actually iraqian).

    It always amazes me, when I follow my Monday morning routine of wake up, pound SNOOZE, roll into shower, roll out of shower, open computer, check CBB lineup, that there are already 10 commenters listening to the episode!

     

    Clearly, the solution is comedy-based sleep deprivation!

     

    this is why i decided to move to the UK -- episodes become available on Mondays at 8am.

    i'm not sure why, but i love the low-key silliness of this episode.

    none of the bits went anywhere and it was fantastic.

     

    -an in-depth discussion of interest rates and denominations of canadian moneys.

    -a brilliant plugs theme.

    -callback to "is dick francis a horse?

    All this time, I thought Dolores and Mitch were a couple! Was she always married to someone else? Why would she spend so much time with Mitch if she was already married? Well, I guess now that Dolores' husband is dead, she can date Mitch. Wait, is Mitch married to someone else? Unghh!

     

    I've never been so invested in fake people from an internet commercial.

     

     

    look, the great news is that most assuredly, all of your questions will be answered.

    and much like that much loved television show (Lost), you will take joy in all of the characters' stories. just as you will find delight the well thought-out, well concluded, and well executed final moments of Mitch and Dolores's story.
