    The Nutcracker in 3D (2010)

True, but if we're really gonna dig into the Konchalovsky oeuvre, I still feel that "Homer and Eddie" is most deserving of the next spot in the queue.

    Mortdecai (2015)

Oh come on. I agree that it wouldn't be a "fun" viewing in the way that Fast 5 or Crank is fun, but there's also value in a good old fashioned hate-watching. Let's not forget that Old Dogs was one of the primary inspirations for this beloved podcast, and it's an insufferably bad comedy.

    Homer and Eddie

And here's a nice little passage from the NYT review way back when: ''Homer and Eddie'' is the second recent ''and'' film (''Tango and Cash'' is the other) to be directed by Andrei Konchalovsky, who continues to display no great affinity for the genre. This time, Mr. Konchalovsky's distinctive touches include letting the camera fade into and out of two-shots for no particular reason, incorporating a gallery of grotesques as extras and breaking up the action with loud and ill-chosen songs on the soundtrack, several of them performed by Richie Havens. What a treat this is going to be. My hulu plus subscription is finally justified.

    Homer and Eddie

It's only appropriate that the gang follow "Tango and Cash" with director Andrei Konchalovsky's subsequent film. And without further adieu, Wikipedia's plot synopsis: "A homicidal escaped mental patient with a brain tumor and only a month to live (Whoopi Goldberg) meets a childlike mentally challenged traveling companion (Jim Belushi) for a cross-country car trip that brings unexpected meaning to both their lives." HO. LEE. SHIT.

    The Other Sister (1999)

Oh boy, if only the earwolf Gods could book PFT in character as Garry Marshall to be the guest for this one. And get Gillian Jacobs on there for good measure.

    HDTGM?-like Podcasts

Anyone have suggestions for other podcasts that involve hilarious people deconstructing bad TV or films? I've tried out Flop House and We Hate Movies and found them both rather underwhelming. Go Bayside! and It's That Episode are the only two that approach the heights of HDTGM?, in my opinion. But surely I'm missing out on some other brilliant ones. Please help!

    The Other Sister (1999)

Just wanted to bump this POS. It's on netflix and my roommate made me watch it today. There are no words.

Episode 533 - I Only Date White People

I'm relieved to finally hear some smart and funny people discuss their skepticism about "Serial." I've been reading nothing but unqualified praise and it boggles my mind. That show is such a disorganized, annoyingly self-conscious, amateurish mess of a podcast. As Ify mentioned, PLEASE do a full ep on that turd!

    Episode 532 - New Annie

Ooooops I accidentally posted something here that was meant for the "i only date white people ep." Binge listened to a bunch of eps today and got mixed up. Nothing to see here, please move on.

    Episode 98.5 — Minisode 98.5

    Shout out for Shit Dicks!

    Episode 98 — LOL: LIVE!

No need to be so hostile! And c'mon, "forced laughter" is not an unusual thing to encounter during a podcast (or any sort of verbal communication, for that matter). I adore Gabrus/Peretti/Holmes and I'm not saying they're guilty of forcing artificial laughter into their schtick, but it's certainly happens with some folks more than others and it's annoying as hell. I can't tolerate @midnight for that very reason, despite it being loaded with so many amazing guests.

    Top picks for guest

And speaking of Gabe, any the gang from his old NYC goof troop (Jenny Slate, Joe Mande, Gabe Delahaye, Gabe Liedman, Max Silvestri) would be magnificent guests (as evidenced by Slate and Mande both hitting home runs in their respective eps).

Gabe Delahaye!! I'm sure there are some former monsters lurking around on here. His WMOAT features on videogum (RIP) were legendary and had a lot in common with HDTGM.

    Episode 98 — LOL: LIVE!

And how happy were you guys when Heubel recognized Shit Dick #1 from the Step Up franchise??

    Episode 98 — LOL: LIVE!

Completely agree. Her motivation for using the chicken as pseudo vag makes ZERO sense. If in the middle of the bate sesh she pulled back the camera and revealed the meat to the dude on the other end and been like "haha you disgusting dummy you just had a tug to a dead bird," then I guess I could see why she'd pull such a stunt. But as it stands, she's the only one who's aware that it's not her actual goodies so what's the GD point? She might've just as well shown shit dick #1 her stupid teenage ladybits on camera cuz apparently he thinks that's what he was privy to and she's not the least bit interested in informing him otherwise. It's utterly baffling.

    Episode 98 — LOL: LIVE!

Huebel's rage toward this POS is perfect. Gah I'm only 10 minutes in and have to shut this glorious ep off for work, now I'm gonna be in HDTGM withdrawal all day.
  17. Bob Drillboids

    LOL

Welp, now that the ep has finally arrived, I don't know how often we'll make it back to this thread. But I shall never forget you.

    Episode 98 — LOL: LIVE!

Huebel AND Peretti? This is an embarrassment of riches!!
  19. Bob Drillboids

    LOL

Oh brother I completely forgot about her. I'm sure there are other terrible shrinks in the HDTGM canon that I'm neglecting as well. Here's one that's a bit of a stretch: I reckon that in order to obtain his PhD in psychology, Al Pacino's character in 88 Minutes would've certainly had to complete some clinical rotations in outpatient therapy at some point. I know his specialty was forensics, but you don't go straight to becoming BD Wong without some basics beforehand. Anyway, back to more important matters. LOL is just a couple days away!!
  20. Bob Drillboids

    LOL

Who do you think is the all-time worst HDTGM therapist? Demi's in LOL, Judith in Temptation, or Bruce Willis in Color of Night? I think you gotta go with Bruce, since having sex with your patients is so incredibly unethical.
  21. Bob Drillboids

    Episode 528 - Cargo Cult

How in the hell were there zero references to "The Gods Must Be Crazy" in this ep??
  22. Bob Drillboids

    LOL

    IT'S HAPPENING

    Episode 160 — Funky Kong

Dude, I completely agree that Matty B is handling this case closed issue rather poorly, but your insistence on using the term 'butthurt' is not helping. There are so many better and less vaguely homophobic/rapey terms you can use.

    Episode 95.5 — Minisode 95.5

Most underrated scene in the movie - the incredibly patronizing response of Alan's law school classmates when he correctly answers a question after Ella raises her hand. Is there now a "Law School" event in the Special Olympics that I was unaware of? It's like, oh look how cute, the cripple can study and learn, just like us! Let's give him a rowdy ovation for answering a basic case law question to which we all knew the answer!

    Episode 95.5 — Minisode 95.5

Maybe the brain-juice injections and telepathy stuff were just misdirects! And the real root of evil is simply having to share a home with Alan. Think about it - all the individuals that lived with Alan (ex girlfriend, nurse, mother, Ella) are total assholes. And that's why Melanie remains benevolent, because she never actually lived with him. Now, you may rightfully ask then what made Geoffrey/Stanley Tucci/Stephen Root so toxic? I assume it's explained by a deleted flashback scene where they all share a dorm room with Alan in college. And you know that dorm room had a Casablanca poster on the wall.
