Glitter is next week's live episode everybody!
-
Yes this one of three films Macaulay Culkin starred in from 1994 (the others were Getting Even with Dad and The Pagemaster) which completely underperformed at the box office and prompted the young star to retire from acting for a while.

With the gang covering "LOL" for a live show this month, it's time to add Demi Moore to the two appearances club with this film and "Nothing But Trouble"! And don't forget Dolly Parton for the two-timers with "Joyful Noise" and "Rhinestone", since the latter film is going to be up soon. Three appearances for John Travolta too! "Old Dogs", "Battlefield Earth" and now "Staying Alive". Plus Stallone has a sixth appearance with "Rhinestone", or seventh if you count his brief cameo in "Staying Alive".

Man that guy in the teddy bear suit seems to be completely embarrassed while making this. Also, "Gooby" happens to feature Eugene Levy and the main guy from JAG (David James Elliott).

I don't know if you guys noticed, but just two months after you guys recorded the episode, Mr. Nanny director Michael Gottlieb was killed in a motorcycle accident last May, which was also two months before the episode even went up online.

Which Movies Does HDTGM Absolutely Need To Review?
SlidePocket replied to Blast Hardcheese's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I would include: 1. Town & Country (2001) 2. Cocktail (1988) 3. Sphere (1998) 4. Lady in the Water (2006) 5. Double Dragon (1994) -
Here's some weird casting for Easy Rider 2: You got Jeff Fahey, there's that girl from Dallas and Walker Texas Ranger (Sheree J. Wilson), the love interest from Flashdance (Michael Nouri), Cricket from The Young and the Restless (Lauralee Bell) and the Peter Fonda lookalike (aka Phil Pitzer). When you get these people that bizarre, there's no way it's going to live up to the original's legacy.
-
Wow, this guy sure looks like a poor man's Peter Fonda.
-
They made a sequel to Easy Rider?! Who thought that was a good idea?
-
I think this needs to be moved to Bad Movie Recommendations.
-
The movie is underperforming, grossing only $14 million this weekend. However the budget for Blended was actually only $40 million, which hasn't been this modest for a Sandler comedy since 2002's Mr. Deeds which cost $50 million. The majority of Sandler's comedies within 10 years cost between $70 to $90 million.

This is the film that tries to pay homage to Bringing Up Baby but fails miserably as Madonna and Griffin Dunne did not have the chemistry that Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant shared in the earlier film. Also directed by James Foley, who previously directed Madonna's then-husband Sean Penn in the far superior At Close Range the year before.
-
You're thinking of Rosanna Arquette.

xXx: State of The Union
SlidePocket replied to choochoo_the_wonder_slut's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
This film ultimately proves that Ice Cube shouldn't do action movies. Plus it comes from Lee Tamahori, the guy who directed one of the worst 007 flicks ever in "Die Another Day". Given that the two were signed to replace Vin Diesel and Rob Cohen respectively, it's no wonder the flick bombed so hard at the box office. -
Fluke is also one of three movies that ruined Matthew Modine's movie career in 1995, the first being Bye Bye Love and last one being Cutthroat Island.
-
Based on the novel by Ira Levin ("Rosemary's Baby", "The Stepford Wives") and a remake of the 1956 film starring Robert Wagner, sees Sean Young sleepwalking her role as twins who both fall for Matt Dillon's social-climbing character, only for him to kill one of the twins and marry the other so he can be in her rich family. Notable for the fact that Young won two Razzies for Worst Actress and Worst Supporting Actress for playing different characters in the same movie, a feat that wouldn't happen again until Eddie Murphy broke her record for Norbit.
-
Don't forget The Bonfire of the Vanities.
-
Yes this Tuesday. Two weeks later, a minisode, then another two weeks, regular episode.
