    Episode 29 — Coptalk

Thanks for this. This was a great conversation and its candidness and conviviality was really welcome, and a fantastic alternative to most public places these issues get unpacked. I'll be thinking about this conversation for a while. I hope this is in fact episode one and not episode only. More Coptalk, or even Bell putting together panels for candid, friendly discussion about sensitive issues. In the meantime, I'm gonna go subscribe to Bell's Denzel podcast.

    Episode 210.5 — 12/12/14 TWO CHARTED 149

Was this taped before Whooch this week? They had the Starbucks Lover conversation, but it felt newer here. That's unusual, right? Ramhand's cameo was so delightful.

    Episode 210 — Artisanal Podcasting

Are people really dismayed about Howard's opinion about Interstellar? I love him. I never want him to stop being him. But lord if I don't disagree with him about damn near everything.

    Episode 210 — Artisanal Podcasting

Re: Floobity_Bloobity Scott Aukerman hamming up a Cliff Claven impression on a sitcom (or even just on a podcast) would make several of my days. Howard's opinions on entertainment are out of control on this one. I listened to some early Whooch the other day, as I've only been listening for about a year and hadn't really explored the back catalog, and it was really bizarre for me to hear Howard be able to talk about movies as if they were at all worthwhile.
  5. Over the last couple weeks, I relistened to this entire podcast. I hoped to be able to point to a single favorite joke, but I can't pick just one. My favorite bit though might really be the Todd Glass/Is-this-U2? game. Scott identified that as one of the greatest moments in my life, and it might be one of the greatest of mine, too.

List of Scott's Frequently Repeated Phrases

Scott really likes to say "little butt" (especially on UTU2TM?), but ever since that UTU2TM episode where he identified his "little butt" as his dick, I can't think of it as anything but.

    Questions about TV show

I think we don't often discuss the television show because, ultimately, this is a forum for the podcast! Also, as most of our discussion takes place in threads created by admins for specific episodes, I think we're mostly unaccustomed to starting new threads. Also also, a lot of us probably don't watch it live, or even shortly after it airs, while we wait for a home video release. I wish I could! I'd love to help Scott keep it on the air. I've watched every episode on Netflix multiple times, and plan to pick up the DVDs soon (money's been tight! sorry!)! But I don't got no cable, and that's not likely to change any time soon.
  8. Anyway, really fun episode this week. Betsy and Horatio especially killed it.
  9. EGG nog? I hardly KNOW nog!!

Best of 2014: Stump for favorite episodes here!

Oh yeah. I enjoyed a lot of moments in Time Bobby 3, but thought that Fourvel's potential as a character had more or less been exhausted. But that live episode was really, really funny.

    CBB In Your Life

If I'm listening to an older podcast or one where Scott isn't in full blown CBB/UTU2TM persona and someone says "It's been a while" or something that sounds even kind of like it and no one reacts with Staind, the tension becomes so unbearable I find myself having to say it out loud. Brain's totes infected.

Episode 324 — Golden Duchess Cruise Lines

It felt like they more or less abandoned the premise before they got too deep into. There seemed to be something duplicitous going on under the surface of this Golden Duchess thing, but I think everyone just got too into digging around in their characters to even feel like that was necessary. It was a great excuse to get everyone in the same room, though!
  13. This episode's energy is so great. Choruses of "'Sbeenawhyyyle" coming out whenever The moment where Todd steps all over the Scotts doing one of their rewind-to-check-the-tape bits with his concern that they're going to make fun of him for not knowing the name of "Downeaster Alexa" is so insanely unhinged and chaotic. I love it. Scott and Scott talking music to each other and to another comic is just comedy gold. A whole series of "Slowed Down Eternal" episodes would be an asset to the human race.

Episode 324 — Golden Duchess Cruise Lines

Everyone's energy was so perfect and supportive of one another on this one. I can't believe it was a longer episode. It felt like it was over way, way too quickly. I've become a huge Lauren Lakpus fan over the past few months, but everybody in Wild Horses seems like they're just at the top of their game all the time. Love listening to them all together. CBBY (Comedy Bang Bang Year) 2015 is off to an amazing start. Also, the single killer line had to be Scott's (it was Scott, right?) "You've done a call-in show" to Colin. Almost dropped my coffee. I think I heard one of the other guests (maybe Lauren?) do a really stifled snicker to it, but it otherwise flew by unnoticed. Loooooooved it.

    Next Episode Idea

Lots of things to choose from. When the Scotts have a little more time on their hands and can record more than just special event episodes, I'd really love to hear them go through the albums they tore through in the first episode one-by-one. Maybe this would be insufferable for Kulap--or borderline redundant if there is a Kulap and Naomi episode (I want that so bad!)--but I was thinking a crossover with Who Charted? (Howie seems to know a thing or two about U2), where the Scotts count down the charts of their top 5 U2 songs would be an intense, sprawling delight.
  16. This was delightful. Maybe better than last week's. I was laughing constantly. Seeing Lauren reboot the Tracy character as Amanda Calzone has me excited for the possibilities of original characters and more in the coming weeks.

    Pardcast-a-thon 2014

Scott's character work just about destroyed me. This has just been a good old party. First time I've watched it, and I think it might be a tradition now.

    "All the sudden"

Pretty sure it was on some episode of U Talkin' U2 To Me where Scott stopped himself after saying "all of the sudden," saying it's supposed to be "all of a sudden." Or vice versa. Because the latter's supposed to be more "proper."

Why can't I download the podcast I just bought?

    NEVERMIND! All is well.
  20. When a musical guest (and someone not from Scott's close circle of friends, too!) willingly gives up a "my wiiiife," you know you're in for some good stuff. That was glorious. So much energy, and everyone was so funny.
  21. So glorious to be able to be here on the ground floor. The back half of this one, in particular, had me laughing a ton. Can't wait to see what the coming weeks bring!
  22. On Earwolf's Facebook wall today: This aligns with something a certain host let slip several weeks ago, and I AM EXCITED. Kinda wish it was a Tuesday show, because I don't have any regular podcasts that happen on Tuesdays. But I don't care! I can't wait to get a regular dose of Lapkus!

Episode 207 — Grown Ups 2 Causes Terrorism

I am almost scared of how much hell to pay there'll be on Twooch in response to that "trash" joke.

Earwolf mercilessly teasing Lauren Lapkus podcast

YES. This is the best news. I must have zoned out during Who Charted's ads last week. Whoops. I don't know if I get Hollywood Handbook.

Is Anyone Else Annoyed by Scott Recently?

I've been listening to CBBs old and new lately, and while Scott's podcasting persona has changed a lot over the years (and changes still from episode to episode), he's as amazing as ever, if not moreso. The last year has been extraordinarily stellar (and I've really, really loved the last two months or so in particular). Maybe you just need a break from the podcast for a while, if you're feeling like you say? It might be less a change in Scott you're noticing and more a change in what you want to listen to/your CBB saturation levels? watchayakan, I'd recommend giving Comedy Bang Bang, the podcast, a shot. I love both the TV show and the 'cast, but they have very different energies. For one, while the podcast is a continuous, hour-plus long conversation/improv session, the TV show is a tightly edited combo of scripted bits, sketches, and improvised moments that slots into about 21 minutes. If you're into Improv4Humans, find an episode with Besser or Lapkus or another I4H regular you like and dive in (or there might be a list of introduction-worthy episodes somewhere around here?).
