Episode 131.5 - Minisode 131.5

WAIT! I just thought of a way to have it even fit into the things that Daredevil did and everything could work and not compete and sweet baby Jesus this NEEDS TO HAPPEN -

I think one of the other problems with this, though, is that the Fraction run is so similar to the first season of Daredevil. Mob guys trying to buy out a building and leave hundreds of people homeless... I really want this to actually happen but I'm so defensive of this character that my mind always goes towards the negative side of why it won't work. But I think with the way you described it it could be totally different and be it's own story. -

OF COURSE I HEARD ABOUT THIS, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I think that the bull shit Wedon did with AoU completely ruined any chance of having an interesting Hawkeye anything. Whether it be a movie or a Netflix run. We could have even seen him intertwined with Bobbi but then they had to go and give her another husband that's not Clint so that kinda ruined those chances as well. I had heard rumors of Clint having a wife around the time that Bobbi was even introduced on SHIELD and I kept thinking "Oh my god are they actually gonna do something right and have them be married and mix the TV and movie-verse?" NOPE Did you also hear that he admitted to being just as confused about the appearance of said family? -

I was totally on board with her until But I will say that Elodie was the best Elektra they could've gotten! EDIT: -
Apparently I've only seen 35 of the movies they've covered and that disappoints me.

Not just you! I was actually just talking about this with my coworkers plus how mad I was at Matt throughout the whole season for his shitty choices. -

I think what Amy meant was she was gonna make a good movie where a fake fighter helps kids. -

Every time you say you don't like a movie I just read your signature instead of whatever you actually say lol. -

I'm genuinely sad I never saw it in theaters. But I did rent it and watch it with my mom and we legitimately watched it every fuckin' day we had that DVD rented. It was the greatest week ever. The last day we watched it with commentary which I highly recommend doing. You know a movie is ridiculous when Roland Emmerich and his co-writer are actually making fun of their own movie while watching it. Also as a Texan we enjoyed that line but were happy that maybe we could at least just stay put and brave the snow. -

okay this is my 500th post so I'm going along with that whole "milestone posts = movie rec" thing we threw out like months and months ago haha. so with that this is the movie that I absolutely demand the gang to cover soon The Day After Tomorrow aka THE BEST BAD MOVIE EVER This movie is basically a Stefan club advertisement because it has EVERYTHING Tornadoes in LA? Check! Dennis Quaid saying "paleo-climatology model"? Check! Jake Gyllenhaal fighting CGI wolves? CHECK! Please please it would make my life if this was covered on this podcast because it's perfect and ridiculous and I've seen it more than maybe any other movie ever! -

After watching him on B99 I would definitely hit on him I don't know what that says about me -
I was about to argue against this point but they really do look like they're family and the kind of family where an uncle would accidentally call Chace "Taylor" and then they would all laugh together about their similarities.
-
I have to say they are all WAY more attractive now than they were 10 years ago. They're all like a fine wine. Or maybe it's just the way their hair and clothes were styled in this movie that really just don't hold up cause like I said pages ago my 16 year old self was into Steven Strait back then.
-
God I hope they get at least 20 calls that are just people from Massachusetts getting pissed at Jason.

Top Five movies that are bad and you should hate, but you actually love.

I argue that Center Stage and She's The Man are NOT BAD MOVIES AND WE SHOULD NOT HATE THEM -
Also how hot Brendan Fraser was in George of the Jungle.

Oh yeah I totally agree that there is a difference here. It's like when those gross ass men made those countdowns to when the Olsen twins turned 18 so they could suddenly sexually harass them and it not be illegal. I think Britney Spears and Emma Watson had ones as well and *shudders* gross. I thought the whole thought process was when you were 12-13 who did you have a huge crush on? And at least for me I tried to steer clear of anyone that may have not ended up being conventionally attractive by society standards because that is mean. The gang probably opened up a weird can of worms with this one and we all took the bait. Basically I apologize for contributing my crushes into this weird conversation lol.

No it's Lee Norris from Boy Meets World when he played Minkus! I saw that one literally just the other day cause it was part of a bunch of ads at the bottom of the Lilly Wachowski article.
-
Well shit we can throw Christina Ricci into the mix too.

I thought about this with Teen Witch too (after the mini-episode had come out) but 16 being a significant birthday is very much a modern American concept. I highly doubt the witches of Salem were throwing sweet 16 bashes on their birthdays. And The Witch refers to the oldest daughter as "approaching womanhood" and she looks no older than 15, and to me that's still pushing it cause she looks so young. (EDIT: Holy crap the girl who played her is reportedly 19 or 20 so they did a really great job of convincing me she was like 14.) Even in Harry Potter there was never a certain age where the powers just appeared of they suddenly changed, it was just a, "Oh you're 11 and old enough for schooling now so here's your wand and you can actually direct that power you have." Still I wonder if they maybe changed some of the age requirements with the changing times in British culture.
