    The Day After Tomorrow (2004)

I saw The Langoliers so young I thought it was a fever dream for most of my life, and then I thought maybe I had just seen Tremors and invented scenes. It's the wildest movie!

Not to totally defend him because I agree with you, but he's actually not bad in Hail Caesar and he has a way better Southern accent in that one.

    The Day After Tomorrow (2004)

Unfortunately on that front Paul said a couple of years ago on a mini-ep that they would never do 2012 because it's just too long and not fun enough for an episode.

    The Day After Tomorrow (2004)

Oh I LOVE this movie. I put this up there with Face/Off as "Thank GOD This Got Made!"

    Queen of the Damned (2002)

The biggest difference that I remember is the size of Marguetite Moreau's character as it was much smaller in the book and there wasn't any actual romantic subplot between them. Also all of the backstory we're given on Lestat before the modern day scenes are in the book "The Vampire Lestat" and what they put into the movie isn't even totally correct. For one, Lestat was bitten by Magnus and not Marius and was transformed in Paris and wasn't taken to that coastal mansion until he later meets Marius at which point he had already been a vampire for quite some time. Then the whole thing with playing the violin for Akasha actually does happen and then this book ends on the concert in San Francisco and it's like this big cliffhanger that then leads into Queen of the Damned. Oh and I just checked the date the book was published which was 1988 so I'm imagining the rock of the day which leads me to think that Lestat sounded more like Echo & The Bunnymen lololol.

    Queen of the Damned (2002)

If my memory of the book serves me correctly (it's been at least 10 years since I've read it and I tend to mix all of her books together) then that's literally what happens in the story. Except it definitely wasn't a Korn style band in the book and that was put there cause of the Times.

    The Day After Tomorrow (2004)

2 YEARS AND NOT A SINGLE PERSON CAME BACK IN ON THIS??? I'm so disappointed in everyone.

We haven't commented in this since January and I'm never letting go the possibility to talk about this.

    Episode 186.5 - Minisode 186.5

Man the weeks in between episodes are so hard when you've already seen the movie and just wanna jump into talking about it. But I do absolutely love this trend of covering newer bad films. I know we've all discussed how grinding it can get when you're stuck in the 80s because for some reason bad movies from that time period are just covered in an extra layer of real bad. I feel like I need to start bumping recommendation threads to put them into our fearless leaders' minds.

Oh I just realized I said I would never rewatch this, but I did and I still hated it.

    Episode 186.5 - Minisode 186.5

Oh man another one I've seen before this how crazy! I can't wait to discuss this because I believe Cameron H and I already briefly started a couple of years ago in the Recommendations forum.

    Episode 186 - Geostorm: LIVE!

I honestly didn't notice the artificial gravity thing, but isn't that kind of a trope for Sci-Fi movies set in the future? I always feel like I hear someone mention something about getting the artificial gravity set back on because they can't move as quickly as they want to when they are floating. I feel like it was also possibly briefly mentioned in the newest Cloverfield movie on Netflix. And it's things like that that make a dummy like me think we've had artificial gravity this whole time! But I'm definitely gonna check out Mary Roach's work because it sounds fascinating!

    Episode 186 - Geostorm: LIVE!

Okay I promise my last comment in a row but I needed to write this down before I forgot. This weekend I took up the call of Jason and asked my mom, a former American Airlines flight attendant, about how gross everything is on planes. She said that they never thought about the water but yeah he is probably right. They do replace the water after every flight, but there is no gaurantee that they clean the giant tubs that the water goes in. She also said that they all drink the water and wash their hands as normal without a second thought, but she was horrified to hear that people go into those bathrooms barefoot (actually was horrified to hear people take their shoes off on planes at all). Also was horrified to hear that people still use the blankets and pillows because those NEVER EVER GET CLEANED (as we can see from Nicole's terrifying tale of Delta).

    Episode 186 - Geostorm: LIVE!

I started wondering if they were trying to take a dig at Hillary Clinton for being the former SoS that then wanted to become President...

    Episode 186 - Geostorm: LIVE!

When I mentioned this episode to my mom, who saw this in theaters with me, she asked if they brought up the fact that his name was on his shirt the whole time they were confused about who he was.

    Episode 186 - Geostorm: LIVE!

OMISSION! The original tagline for this movie was "Brave the storm" but was pulled because of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria all hitting during the marketing time for this film and it was seen as extremely insensitive.
  19. You're in luck, potsmaster. This was covered on a Stitcher Premium episode from the pee cast blast or whatever that little festival was called lol.

    Episode 186 - Geostorm: LIVE!

Y'all are teasing me with all this talk about The Day After Tomorrow. For the love of GOD please cover that movie at some point in the future. I'm actually begging y'all now! I don't care if Geostorm is like the worse version lol.

Musical Monday Week 36 Om Shanti Om

Oh I don't think he actually meant she was really his childhood friend. He had to ask what her name was from the director directly before that so I took him saying that as him trying to impress the press with how close this whole cast was to him, but that part was a total facade. I don't think she was in on it at all. Every time she was involved in part of the plan they either waited for her to leave so they could steal her phone or she looked genuinely surprised. But to me it is weirder than OK's because OK is not only the Hero but he seems to be acting as Executive Producer so he can have whoever the hell he wants on set and no one would say anything to him. But Dolly's mother is only appearing to be a nuisance and even a Momager can get kicked off set if the actress doesn't legally need a guardian there.

Musical Monday Week 36 Om Shanti Om

So then why was she even allowed on set?
