Well that can be the case for some people, but everyone has different skin to which coconut oil can be beneficial. I have dry & sensitive skin and have troubles finding a proper moisturizer that doesn't cause me to break out and since using coconut oil my number of break outs has gone down significantly. My dermatologist has recommended the coconut oil so it really comes down to a person by person case. Plus when you look at the two oils vs each other they really have the same good qualities about them. ETA: Oh also I've read that combining the two is A+

Kay but that's not what you said sooooo I'm still pointing out that it doesn't take a teenager to determine whether this is a good teen movie. Plus... .............you could literally say that about any teen movie. "Dope" certainly didn't reflect my teen years but that doesn't negate the fact that it's a teen movie.

My point is that, for women especially when it comes to this specific movie, age shouldn't matter because we are all 17 at one point. I'm telling you specifically that for me this movie nailed it because I saw a lot of my own neurotic behavior displayed back to me. Being an outsider is one thing, but then purposefully making yourself an outsider because you're being a selfish asshole is totally a horse of a different color. Yes that was a decade ago for me, but I still remember it very clearly, so I don't need to ask my 18 year old sister if she thought it was a good representation or not.

ElieB Idk how you know the age of the OP but age shouldn't matter in this case. Personally I loved this movie because it reminded me a lot of my own troubles at that age and how I treated those around me while I was dealing with those troubles. Spoilers under the cut for those who haven't seen it but I need to dig deeper into this. I understand that some people may come off as condescending in these forums (I've experienced this first hand) but it's kind of hard to not take the initial post as condescending when it's starts off as "maybe they're all INSANE." Opinions are opinions dude. If you didn't like it, cool.

Idk if anyone listens to Bizarre States with Jessica Chobot & Andrew Bowser but it reminded of that story of the guy getting the penis transplant and then they started coming up with a horror comedy movie called "Serial Killer Dick" Basically I think this concept has come up multiple times anytime someone goes through a transplant.

FUCK! I just snorted I laughed so hard oh my god! This does remind me to finish my thought from earlier. It was extremely common for gay men of that era to go through the motions of being with women because that's what they think they should be doing. However, I feel like Brian truly was attracted to & in love with Sally, making his sexuality not a "one or the other" kind of situation. I felt that the scene where the three of them were dancing and we got SO DAMN CLOSE to a happy threesome we see Brian kind of looking back and forth between the two, what I imagine is a kind of "men or women" war being raged in his brain, but then he gets frustrated and breaks up the menage a trois situation because he genuinely can't decide and the concept of liking both is too much for him to handle. But he could be gay let's be real it's based in 1931 and this was made in 1972 it's not like the people in those eras could comprehend bisexuality.
