    Yo I'm not disagreeing with you at ALL. I very much had an issue that Jennifer Lawrence is 9 months younger than me and already was playing a mother of 2 kids who were around 10 years old in Joy. It's 100% something I always notice as well. Women play older than they are while men play younger. It always happens always. Actually all of JLaw's roles since Hunger Games have put her being older and dating/married to MUCH older men. Why Lord, why??? I think Dan Stevens being 8 years older than Emma is something more to look at than Luke Evans. We never actually know the age of Gaston and could very well be a man in his late 20s-mid 30s who is trying to marry the 17 year old girl in the story. But we know for a fact that Beast is only 20. (ETA: Overall I'm in agreement with tomspanks on the consenting adults = not my business BUT the way Hollywood portrays relationships is always skewed in the "older men get younger hot women" favor and I'm always in more need of older women getting young hot dudes. EQUALITY!)

    For some reason I thought you brought this up in the current Musical thread and went through every page to find it -__- ANYWAY Gaston is supposed to be considered physically beautiful though, right? Like we think he's ugly because he acts ugly but the entire town worships him like some god. Also Luke Evans plays him in the live action version and that man is fucking gorgeous lol.

    The Lake House is legit my least favorite movie of all time. The scene where he's taking her through the city alone makes me want to burn the negatives so no one has to witness this bull shit ever again lol.

    To be fair, the original title was Leon and then they changed it for the theatrical release. Now they've just combined the two of them and it's called Leon: The Professional. I think it's the only movie that Doug doesn't go all "FULL TITLE!" on DLM because it's changed so many times.

    It was when I saw the painting that he did of a Galveston house that is clearly in the style of The Church of Auvers that made my art history nerd heart scream a bit. Copy paintings made me sad.

    In Travon's defense I think he just genuinely forgot lol cause I even forgot about Hercules saying it in Guns And Ships! But I will never forget Washington On Your Side because that's my favorite song and it's so fun to yell out "SOUTHERN MOTHERFUCKIN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLICANS!"

    I get that. I guess I've really gotten good at tuning him out specifically and just listening to the guests. Also because I know a lot of podcast hosts will repeat stories (or like in Jackie Kashian's case will tell a story on two podcasts because I listen to both of her's) so I have really gotten used to that. I think it also has a lot to do with who the guests are, because I notice some don't offer up as much information like in a conversation and are just waiting for his questions which really highlights his inexperience as an interviewer. I think his Hasan Minhaj, Gabby Sidibe, Rachel Bloom, and the most recent one with Mike Still are the best ones because they aren't just about the musical but about how relevant the musical is in today's culture (whether it be the musical world or the political world). But Oliver Pardo is officially my favorite podcast guest of all time and I could listen to that kid correct Jimmy on little Hamilton info for the rest of my life.

    I'm an avid listener to that podcast! I agree with CakeBug, this musical in particular really goes well with just listening to it. The whole story is basically there for you and you aren't missing really anything (except the one song that he mentioned). And according to those who have seen it, it prepares you for the live version a lot more because you are more focused on the visuals and the little things happening rather than just trying to keep up with all of the words.
