    ---

I've encountered this quite a bit, I think it's a pretty common trend: people will let any joke slide as long as it doesn't personally offend them, or offend what the media is telling them to be super-duper serious about at the current time. It's an offshoot of "dish it out but can't take it" because they will laugh at jokes directed at others but not at who they identify as or sympathize with. If somebody makes a joke about Asians or Caucasians right now, it can get big laughs. Make a joke about transgender or black people, you're walking on thin ice. Comedians at the clubs in my city who really get the biggest laughs from me (and usually the rest of the crowd) are people who can walk on that thin ice and still make great jokes. When a bit is racist, sexist, homophobic, etc., it's taking the biggest risk because it can either be tactless and unfunny or a huge hit with the crowd, and sometimes that's entirely up to the crowd. But the really great jokes can shine through because they don't jab at the thing in a hateful way, they just talk about that thing and really focus on the tension but turn it into something light and relaxing to make you laugh. It's kind of like a massage, kneading out the parts that really make us tense and uncomfortable. Reality, society, our day-to-day bullshit, however you want to say it, it's something we really need. In other words, chill the fuck out man. I can tell from your post that you really love CBB, so maybe listen to the episode one more time and try to enjoy it as a bit rather than a serious attack on a specific people, especially with such consistent and poisonous undertones tracing back through the episodes. If you can provide examples of this in their comedy throughout the years I think it would give you a much stronger argument, but I just don't see it. I think both Scott and Paul are dear friends with many Jewish people and would likely be offended, or make a joke about it like they may have done in a recent episode, if they were accused of being so prejudiced. I think I've rambled more than enough now. The TL;DR version of this is that people need to stop being so offended by everything, it's fucking exhausting. Since when does everyone have a right to an opinion, as if that makes their opinion correct, and the right to be offended? "Fuck off, for once. For once just fuck off" - my drunk roommate several years ago as he tried to pass out on the couch

EPISODE 377 — Good Night In The Morning

Eric Stonestreet was a great first-timer just a couple of episodes ago, but Tatiana and Kristian are two of the best I can think of. You could really tell they are fans and avid listeners, and the way they played along both as themselves and as characters was right up there with CBB all-star pro-level expert veterans. I hope they come back soon, maybe when Arphan Black is about to return.

EPISODE 377 — Good Night In The Morning

A guest shortened their birth month to "Oct" in the first few minutes of the show? *Looks at camera* I could get used to this.

    EPISODE 118.5 - MINISODE 118.5

The opening text is fucking ridiculous. Here it is: "On June 19th, 1987, at 9:47A.M.EST, the Earth passed into the extraordinarily diffuse tail of Rhea-M, a rogue comet. According to astronomical calculations, the planet would remain in the tail of the comet for the next eight days, five hours, twenty-nine minutes, and twenty-three seconds." Can anyone please provide me with other examples of opening text that just boggles your mind?

    EPISODE 375 — Wompler's REAL 17th B-Day Womptacular

Fister Roboto, my favorite birthday so far is the one at Six Flags (last year). They are all really good though, this episode has kept the tradition strong. Yes, they are all like this, and episodes of Womp It Up are like this too just with less people in the room. I wonder if any listeners have actually tried to make a cream cheese Digiorno sandwich.

    EPISODE 375 — Wompler's REAL 17th B-Day Womptacular

Outstanding Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program, for the Between Two Ferms episode with Brad Pitt. And for having the "devil's touch".

    EPISODE 118.5 - MINISODE 118.5

The only two things I vividly remember from Maximum Overdrive is a remote control car in a dead dog's mouth and a pop machine shooting cans at a baseball team. One is pretty disturbing, the other comes across as hilarious.

    EPISODE 373 — Vocal Fry

I strongly agree with all of this. The pouting from Willie was just fucked, you could almost see Brendon Small's face all scrunched up when he's doing that voice. I hope he returns with Victor and Tiny, and I hope next time we hear more interplay between all three of them. Eric Stonestreet was great in the interview too! Scott's enormous amount of genuine joy when discussing the call sheet was palpable (and hilarious).

EPISODE 374 — Tick Tock Clawk

This discussion about Scott pimping guests into doing whatever he describes them doing made me think of how he always says a guest is crying if they start stifling laughter during something they're saying, like Bernard mentioned above. That's one of my favorite examples, but I love when he does stuff like that. Did anybody else get the feeling that New No-Nos was channeling a bit of Foam Corner? It felt very foamy to me.

EPISODE 374 — Tick Tock Clawk

Happy birthday! I hope you have a wonderful... time. Also, Neil Campbell is a mad genius. He has a Midas touch, and this is the first time in my life that I'm actually excited to watch the Emmys. "There's no hole I'm scared of" is my new mantra. Why are you doing the blowjob motion again?!

the earwolf forums wont let me set my F***ing profile picture

I share your frustration sometimes, but man the combination of your username and how enraged you are made me laugh pretty hard. I still haven't figured out the key to making them work, because I've tried many different sizes and it always seems to be hit-or-miss. Maybe somebody else can help you cool down, cool Lucas.

No, You Shut Up! is definitely coming back!

I can't wait to laugh and shake my head in a really superior, condescending way if Past Paul brings up still not knowing again.

    EPISODE 24 - Sports Club/Live at Largo

It's from "A UFC Weigh-In" when he introduces Mark McConville. Also, since I've been a fan of PFT he has said and done many things that make me feel like we are kindred spirits in some way. This episode gave my delusion more fodder, because I have recurring zombie dreams that are exactly how he described: never nightmares, always awesome, always feeling triumphant and badass. Oh shit, I really hope a guest gives them a location along the lines of "A Mall During A Zombie Apocalypse" in some future episode. I'd give them that one for sure. If it means anything to Paul: I think you'd do great in a zombie apocalypse. People in TV shows and movies are always wearing tank tops / short sleeves and shorts during zombie attacks, while a more dapper gentleman usually has much more skin covered.
