Episode 14 - Edward Snowden: The Whistleblower
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Katie Couric
I never thought I'd listen to this podcast, but here I am listening to this podcast. What else have you got, universe circa 2016? I can take it. -
Episode 459 - Giamatti Gives Thanks
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Yeah, but I bet Scott could make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. -
Episode 50 - The 50th Episode Squib Spectacular
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in I Was There Too
Really great, I loved the short film. I need to create a gif of Matt being shot by the machine gun in slow motion. This made me think of a series of videos called We Were Behind The Scenes where Matt (and special guests?) explore some behind the scenes movie magic in every episode. -
Ask Paul!
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to Paul F. Tompkins's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Thanks Paul! If it happens, I will undoubtedly be in attendance for Spontaneanation in Toronto and for any stand-up that you do around here. I was really upset that I had to miss you as Cake Boss, one of my all-time favourite podcast characters, but seeing you as Garry Marshall the next night made up for it. If I somehow knew in advance that you were going to be Cake Boss for the Thursday night show, I would have probably risked losing my job just to come see it. Well, regardless of the 300-person thing, I hope to see you here sometime in the not-too-distant future! Maybe the stars will align someday soon. As for the pins, now I have another reason to be jealous of Spontaneanation guests. The face pins creep me out a bit (not just yours... All of them) but I'll definitely consider the socks. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, it's really cool to see you on the Earwolf forums. -
Episode 87 - Train Station: Live from Largo (w/ Horatio Sanz, Ryan Gaul, Mandell Maughan, Drew Tarver)
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Of course, Paul. My apologies. I regret the tone of my previous comment, and while that video really does perfectly sum up many of my feelings, you're absolutely right that it's not the time or the place. I do recommend watching it though. I truly hate that my only interaction with you on these boards is because of this, but there's really only one person to blame (Dan, obviously). I hope you have a great Thanksgiving! -

In terms of deaths, I agree. In terms of election results, I laugh in your face. This says it all: Great episode, though. -
Episode 459 - Giamatti Gives Thanks
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
To be fair, veganlobster, this appearance was still arguably more subdued than past appearances even with all of that amazing madness. I'm not counting it as a negative, I loved every minute of it, I just think maybe Paul is freaking out less because he's more at peace with his place in the infinite universe and the never-ending wheel of life. -
Episode 459 - Giamatti Gives Thanks
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Some random notes: Maria sounded like maybe she had done some mary jane before this was recorded, but her constant laughter and inability to answer straightforward questions was very endearing. Over the last few months, Tawny has become one of my favourite guests on Spontaneanation and now CBB too. I'm glad to hear Jesse Ventura has made the plug bag his happy home, but I hope he'll escape someday to come back on CBB. More Adomian please! This being the last episode for this year's Best-Ofs eligibility is fitting, since it's definitely getting my vote. It's going to be another tough year to choose though, requiring several Sophie's choices. Maybe not as hard as last year though. -

Episode 459 - Giamatti Gives Thanks
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Even though my Thanksgiving was over a month ago because I'm a Snow Mexican, I'm very thankful today for James Adomian. If you haven't listened to him as Jesse Ventura on Howard Stern, I suggest you go do that right after you're done with this episode. -
Episode 86 - A Whale's Belly (w/ Natalie Morales, Matt Gourley, Craig Cackowski, Colleen Smith)
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Natalie Morales gives the best location suggestions! I love the line-up too. Listening now. -
Episode 104 - Paul F. Tompkins, Scott Aukerman: Generations
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
This episode was amazing, from tip to taint! Let's hope Santa and Ho-Ho show-show up on an episode of Comedy Bang Bang instead. This, this, a thousand times this. -
Episode 265 - Mirror Face with The Magic Tavern
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Besser must be pretty upset that Hillary didn't win. I hope he can continue the podcast even if California secedes! I like the Magic Tavern guys quite a bit, maybe even enough to check out their podcast. What I like even more is the username "Shrekronomicon". There's a pretty decent chance we'd be friends in real life just based on your name. Hey Torontosaurus, my avatar is similar to yours and I'm also from Toronto. There's a pretty decent chance we'd hate each other in real life, based on previous encounters with you on these forums. -
http://www.vice.com/...h-could-save-it Makes you wonder, maybe all of those vampires, werewolves, mummies and Frankensteins were actually monsters trying to destroy our world. The following is a transcription of The Lonesome Cowboy, a poem by Dalton Wilcox: A cowboy is a lonesome man, There's none more lonesome in the land. He rides atop his only friend, His horse, a companion on whom he can depend. His woman may be miles behind him, Sadness and desperation may find him, But a cowboy who's wise will turn to the earth, To lend him solace and even mirth. The earth from which all beauty springs, Such bounty forth she always brings. He'll dig a hole with cracked, scorched hands, Pour in all the water that hole demands, Until that earth is moist, just right, The earth'll never put up any kind of a fight. His cries of joy no one will hear, In case I am not being clear, I'm saying that cowboy is going to fuck a hole in the ground, We all do it, that's what I have found. Any cowboy that knows that lonesome hell, Can fashion a land virginny well. If a cowboy's seed worked like other seeds, There'd be cowboys growing across the plains like weeds.

Episode 84 - State Fair: Live from Largo (w/ Kumail Nanjiani, Jordan Black, Annie Savage, Jean Villepique)
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Kumail looks like a tech billionaire in these pictures! Is this maybe a spoiler for season 4 of Silicon Valley? Great lineup though! Listening now and looking forward to when it starts in a few seconds. -
Episode 452 - Pow! Pow! Power Wheels!
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Seriously. I can only hope these two go head-to-head someday in the not-too-distant future. My post is a multi-hyphenate! At least Todd was resurrected. I saw him with my own eyes in Toronto! One of the first things he did on stage was use the microphone to simulate his big ol' dick. -

Apparently Soylent had to recall a bunch of products, presumably because it's made of people. Also, I like your plugs theme. -

1. Shaun of the Dead 2. Spaced (TV series) 3. Hot Fuzz 4. The World's End 5. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World 6. Imagining what his Ant-Man would've been like His fake trailer "Don't" in Grindhouse is also by far my favorite fake trailer from that double feature. It's actually one of the things I remember talking about with my friends at the restaurant we went to after seeing the movie(s), but I didn't know it was by Edgar Wright until later.

Episode 146 - Dreamcatcher
Darbler Cheesegarbler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I remember enjoying this movie when it came out, despite some ridiculousness. I'm a sucker for Stephen King, hell I even enjoyed Maximum Overdrive (despite a TON of ridiculousness). I'm definitely going to revisit Dreamcatcher before listening to this episode... -
