I feel like I am missing out on "The Punisher" snark but I am not watching it. Punisher has never been a favorite hero of mine. (Plus Frank's evil in Spider-Gwen and I'm still mad at him. Don't judge me.) I always wondered why they kept trying so hard for him to have a movie. Although I will admit to liking his storyline on the second season of "Daredevil" better than the ninja storyline. I think he works best when he has another hero serving as his foil. He's too dark for me on on his own. Though obviously he's a very popular character so it works for some people. This is my fave Punisher appearance:

Yay! The Jazz Singer! That was the show *I* was at. I was the asshole holding the sign that Paul mentions during June's intro. (I had a June quote on my sign. She did not recognize it. I was pleased.) I had a lot of sign board thanks to this President. I almost made one that said "The Theme Song Should Be Longer." Congrats to the forum for winning and to Cameron H. As I said in the minisode thread, I refuse to watch this movie. Nothing in the podcast makes me think I made a poor life choice. So I have no corrections and omissions. Really just, like wow you guys watched this and it talked about it. You have given it way more thought than ANYONE EVER. It did occur to me while listening that Milla did a bunch of action flicks and now she isn't in much. It made me think of how they were talking about doing a female EXPENDABLES movie. Some asshole told me there were no female action stars. I was like "Um, Sigourney Weaver, duh." And he was all, "she is the only one." And left. But then I thought of a ton more. (Linda Hamilton! Pam Grier! Lynda Carter!) Anyway this reminded me that Milka Jovovich could totally do an EXPENDABLES reboot. New name added to list! So that is a positive to come out of this nonsense. All I got.

I Googled this movie last week, saw the poster and decided this was one I was just going to listen to the podcast about and wasn't going to actually see. Reading your reviews makes me feel proud of myself.

This reminds me that the CGI Beowulf with Angelina Jolie would be good for this podcast. Another random thought: in my head the friend Jenny Slate watched this with is Chris Evans. It heard they were back together last week and, for some reason, I was really excited. I don't know why. I don't know them and it makes no difference in my life. But I want this to be true.

Something happened to me today that I need to share with all of you. I went to a fitness class, so naturally that meant I got a cheeseburger for dinner at a local diner. And on the side they served me coleslaw. And you'll never guess what was in the coleslaw. RAISINS. I don't remember which minisode we had the discussion that raisins should not be in coleslaw. (Sorry) But I think we all agreed that it was anathema. I suppose now you're wondering, "How did they taste?" The answer to that is: I DIDN'T FUCKING EAT THE RAISINS, ARE YOU CRAZY.

And the Ellie Badge? ... I guess I cried through the whole thing.

The first 20 minutes of UP are, like, the saddest thing I can think of. That is not a children's movie. That is a movie for grouchy old people and I love it.

I had to watch several episodes of Thomas the Train this weekend because my nephew, who is two (and has GARBAGE taste) kept saying "Watch Thomas? Watch Thomas?" I agree with Paul, that train sucks. He also really loves . And when you put it on he'll go "OH BOY DUCKS!" For some reason, I hate this one less because I make jokes with mother (my sister) about how that mother duck should be reported to CPS. I guess what I'm saying is Thomas isn't even fun bad. I would think this many personalities would tend to make a program skew more average rather than more extreme? If I were making a murder program (and to be clear: I am NOT), I would at least some unifying theme, or to avoid any conflict among the personalities. Like if you have a Hitler but also a Jewish killer, is the creation then paralyzed with hate for itself?

But did the film mention serial killer DNA? I thought it was their personality profile? Does that mean SID's creator had the 666 killers sit down and take a Myers Briggs test or something? Or does it mean in this vague future they have some virtual way of mapping someone's personality? Even if we allow for the possibility that said personality mapping could take place after a person's death, I still don't think, say Hitler's personality profile his head isn't intact. He's ashes. There's nothing to map? IMDb says these are the killers that are shown: I don't know who all these people are, but I know they are not all serial or even mass murderers. (Here I am using the phrase "serial killer" to denote a murderer who kills on multiple occasions not in one angry fit. And "mass murderer" as someone who kills a whole lot of people at once.) For example, Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme didn't even KILL ANYONE. She tried to kill Pres. Ford but failed. She's even out on bail now. So now I have to ask: what would happen if SID happened to run into one of his personalities?
