I love that panel, especially now that Brie Larson will be Carol. It's meta all over. Yeah they clearly wanted the Inhumans to be the new mutants since Fox owns the rights. Quake wasn't even an Inhuman in the comics before the show. But--besides Kamala--I don't really think there is an Inhuman that people are really fired up over. Maybe that's just me. The fact that their LEADER can't talk is just awkward for film. I think the show looks terrible and it makes me feel bad for the actors who are in it. I hope it dies quickly so they don't use Kamala. I want her to get her own movie. (And I totally was fancasting her father with Kumail's dad in "The Big Sick" when I saw it this weekend.) Has anyone seen "The House"? I was going to maybe try to go sometime this week to support Jason but the reviews have not been great and my roommate doesn't want to see it. Anyone in NYC need a friend?

Do you guys wonder how the guy who played Mitchell Goosen feels about "The Big Sick"?

I have an existential crisis for all of you. If, per the lyrics of the theme song, the show never really does tell us "how did this get made" then are we just being haters?

I'm pretty pleased with myself for not watching this film. Hearing about it seems like enough. I worry about you guys walking around with this stuff in your brain. I would watch Sweet Valley Ninja though.

Louis Peitzman tweeted that the Mummy is "so impressively bad it should be studied." I'm volunteering HDTGM for this duty. I am always ready to mock Tom Cruise.

I was worried about this until they got Ryan Coogler to direct and do creative. There is some stuff in BP's origin that could read as racist today, so I think it's good they got him.(Don't want another "Iron Fist" situation!)

Is Jason okay? First, he liked this pile of garbage. And second, he failed to mention Sherilyn Fenn being on "Gilmore Girls." I have concerns.

It's supposed to be called "the Dark Universe," which sounds like the subtitle of a Thor movie to me. And that photo of all of them together makes me feel bad for Russell Crowe for some reason, even though I haven't forgiven him for Man of Steel. He kind of looks like he knows this is a terrible idea and he regrets it already. There's a display of her outfits at Saks Fifth Avenue right now. I walked by it today. Call me old fashioned, but the Mummy shouldn't be nearly naked. This is the one Universal monster that should have lot of coverings. I actually really hate this version (because of how it deviates, stupidly, from the canon) but I agree that the design was beautiful.

If Leslie Odom Jr and/or Judi Dench just read Johnny Depp's lines, I'd be happy with that.

Watching this on IFC right now, and the dialogue is horrible. I keep thinking about Connery's suit scene in "Highlander" and wondering if he demands a nice suit from every production he's on? Also, apparently there are theories that Connery's character (Mason) is actually James Bond because he's supposed to be British intelligence. This makes me wonder if Sean Connery every actually plays a character or if he just does the same thing in every movie? And Nick Cage!

I would totally support Lactaid coming on as a sponsor. I prefer this discussion to the SKYN condoms ads. (I mean, thanks for sponsoring the show, SKYN Condoms, but I hate you.) Richard Dawson kissing the contestants on Family Feud always creeped me out a bit. I totally buy it from Ceaasr Flickerman though (Hungy Games reference!).

Guys I only got to listen to this mini today because I spent the weekend moving (don't do it! No matter how shitty the place you are is, moving is worse!) And I just found out that I got points from Paul and called a nerd! I'm obviously one of those fake nerd girls. Hair flip. Anyway, highlight of the weekend. I haven't seen "Running Man." I feel like a failure.

Guys, I have a BIG CORRECTION. I'm pretty upset about it. Jason said that Willow phases through a car like Kitty Pryde. Then he said he expected "Lockjaw" to show up. I don't understand why people haven't complained about this already. Bigger error than the North Shore incident of "The Covenant." Lockjaw is the alien dog from the "Inhumans." Kitty Pryde's friend is Lockheed, the dragon. Entirely different alien sidekick that happens to look like an Earth animal. GET IT TOGETHER, JASON! You're losing all your nerd cred! (Also, you'll be pleased to know i can bring this back around to last week's discussion of how bad the "Inhumans" TV show looks. Because there have been some TERRIBLE set pics of Lockjaw. Possible spoilers about this terrible piece of garbage show. )

I'm excited about My Stepmother is an Alien, Cameron H. How are you? Less so about this: I know! I wasn't that excited about Inhumans to begin with but when I saw who the showrunner was I was like, "I'm out." It's weird to me that Melissa Rosenberg and Cheo Hodari Coker both ran Marvel shows that were critically acclaimed and award winning, but no one thought to give THEM another show. But they looked at how "Iron Fist" was shaping up and were like, "I got an idea." The photo looks like Halloween costumes. Not even up to cosplay level. Have you seen the teaser? The dialogue is about as snappy as Iron Fist's, but I admit it's just a teaser. I kinda hope this flops fast so it doesn't have time to impact the only Inhuman I really do care about: Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan. In other Marvel news, I went to see "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2" today and recognized Steve Agee's voice. If I hadn't gone alone I would've shouted "where does the butt start?!" Anyone else? Maybe James Gunn listens to HDTGM because Tango *and* Cash? Steve Agee? Kurt Russel's hair back where it belongs, #1 on the call sheet)?

Well she saves the President in one episode and wins an Indy-500 like race in another. It wasn't BOTH AT THE SAME TIME, tht would be ridiculous.
