This movie is fantastic. I love it, but I think it might not be a good movie. The movie follows Charlie Sykes and Rachel LastName, who are on their way to elope. However, along the way Rachel is kidnapped by a cop from hell, and now Charlie must travel to hell and back to rescue her. So much symbolism, wowee! A wonderful modern day retelling of the myth of Orpheus. It stars Chad Lowe and Kristy Swanson. And looking at the IMDB the director is named Ate de Jong, what's up with that name? Also, like the entire Stiller family is in it. Also Gilbert Gottfried makes a cameo as Hitler. What is not to love? Funfact: The song "Highway to Hell", while in the trailer, is not actually in the movie.

It's on Netflix, and probably ONLY on Netflix. HOLY HELL is this movie bad, and at some points, hilariously so. This is what happens when someone tries to make a kids movie but has no clue how to make movies. There's a really hilarious, although slightly headache inducing, scene where Eric Roberts is suppose to be talking to his son in the back yard through a sliding door, but the kid's scene was at night, and I guess Eric had better things to do, so they filmed his side during the day, but did and awful (AWFUL HOLY SHIT SEARING MY EYES WITH BLUE bad) "day for night" filter. He also doesn't ever open the door so he's talking to a plate glass window. Admittedly I couldn't finish it. I was watching it with my mom one weekend, and I got angry at the movie and stormed out. She had to recap how it ended.

A hero dog serves with the Marines in Afghanistan until his handler dies a hero, then the dead handler's family adopts the hero dog, who now has PTSD. If Safe Haven made Jason cry, then holy shit, THIS will bring everyone to tears at minute two during the podcast. Of course, we all know how and why this movie got made (it's about sad dogs becoming better dogs, American heroes, small town values, running towards something with dramatic music swells, etc.), I would just be interested in this being an episode of the podcast to hear our intrepid hosts react to it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3369806/reference
