Now, I am genuinely reluctant to recommend this film because I won't lie, it can be kinda a bore. But every single time I think about it, I am just reminded about the TRILLIONS of unanswered questions and plot holes. Warren Beatty's motivation in this entire movie is invisible, there is never any answer as to why he decided to cheat. The Garry Shandling-Goldie Hawn subplot is mystifying, I still cannot determine the point of Andie MacDowell and Jenna Elfman's characters, there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why Diane Keaton finds out about the affair, Charton Heston and his wife are clearly insane, the way that the get the title from the movie is god-awful and I am absolutely INFURIATED that Natassja Kinski got a title card. If anything, there are 5 reasons to watch this Terrible Re-Editing and Direction/The Amount of time it took to make it The Amount it cost to make this movie Rich-People Problems: The Movie The fact that this film could legitimately be Warren Beatty's LAST FILM Oh, and this is an R-Rated RomCom Overall, tough to sit through, but worth it in retrospect. And here's the trailer (P.S. there are scenes in the trailer that aren't in the movie. THE EDITING IS TERRIBLE) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPX_1XQtmB4

can't believe this hasn't been done yet, it just might be the ultimate 'how did this get made?' movie. juliette lewis and giovanni ribisi play the roles of their lifetimes: retarded star crossed lovers. diane keaton is juliette's stern mother (but will she learn a life lesson signified by an end of movie wardrobe change from all black to bright red?) and tom skerritt is her mustachio'd dad. i watched this movie before discovering this podcast - my girlfriend and i literally could not stop asking each other "how the fuck did this movie get made?!". it's a clear case of collective insanity. truly unbelievable. i'm about to watch tiptoes, and i kind imagine it's sort of a 'tiptoes but for retarded people instead of midgets'. watch this movie - it defies all reason.

2013's "The Big Wedding" is MADE for "How Did This Get Made?" Imagine four Oscar-winning actors -- Robert DeNiro, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon, and Robin Williams -- trapped in an ensemble comedy so lazy and contrived, so obviously dispiriting for the cast, that the film's best performance is given by KATHERINE HEIGL. Check this out with all deliberate speed -- but don't say I didn't warn you!
