Darbler Cheesegarbler 1110 Posted December 6, 2014 This isn't a bad movie recommendation, but I think this is the best place for this thread. Â What are some movies that had really low budgets or seem to come from complete obscurity, but ended up being amazing and beloved? What are movies that created some great special effects using unconventional methods? Movies where it would be really interesting to find out how it got made, leaning more into episodes like Bad Ass or Punisher: War Zone, where having people from the actual movie could work sometimes. Â I love it when they rip stuff apart, but some of my favorite moments come from the real behind-the-scenes stuff. Thank you to anyone who responds with some ideas! Share this post Link to post
Merkin Muffley 24 Posted December 8, 2014 My favorite low budget move has to be Strange Brew (1983). Share this post Link to post
nateslice 13 Posted December 18, 2014 Super Troopers is a low-budget raunchy comedy that gets funnier every time you see it. Â It also has a lot of hilarious behind-the-scenes stories you'll only know about if you watch it with directors' commentary on. Share this post Link to post
