Bugs Meany 69 Posted April 6, 2015 The 2014 remake is a treasure trove of teen-romance clichés, including: -Boy and girl are from opposite sides of the track, but attend the same public school. -Hot girl is somehow ignored, has no friends. -Girl's dad drops the "Think about your future!" line. -He tries to bribe the boy to leave her alone. -And many more! The 1981 original looks very creepy and inappropriate today. -Girl's parents throw weed parties for high school students. -Girl's mom looks on with love and approval as her teenage daughter bone-zones her boyfriend in the living room.
