Okay.... the tonal shifts in this film are pure gold. And Sly teaching Madeleine Stowe how to walk in high heals is unspeakably beautiful. The trailer marketed this as a pure action film, yet it is clearly meant to be a comedy (not unintentionally like The Wicker Man, but an honest-to-goodness comedy).

This was also the second film that Madeleine Stowe and Anthony Quinn worked on together, the first was 1990's Revenge. The difference is that in Revenge, they played husband-and-wife, while in this movie they are father-and-daughter. And it was Anthony Quinn's final movie role, as it came out a year after his passing.
