I think this movie would make a great episode. The plot goes everywhere with totally bizarre turns, it ruined David Caruso's movie career before it even started, like Blueberry Face says Angie E's death alone should make this a must do, it gets a 16% on rotten tomatoes, etc.

 

Also, the rotten tomatoes reviewer quote blurbs are all things like "more degrading than some porn films" and "Post-viewing showers should be mandatory," while the 5 star Amazon reviews have priceless lines like "You CANNOT go wrong with a William Friedkin movie. I repeat: You CANNOT go wrong with a William Friedkin movie" and "It's still a whole much better than any porn movie that usually bores the heck out of you after 5 minutes."

David Caruso ruined David Caruso's career. That dummy left NYPD Blues at the height of its popularity, thinking he'd stroll right on into the Hollywood A-list. After appearing in a bunch of shitty films and one decent one (Session 9) he crawled back on his hands and knees 8 years later to CSI: Miami.

Jade was supposed to be David Caruso's breakout as a leading man in films, but was a total flop and pretty much killed his film career along with Kiss of Death (also starring Nic Cage) which came out in the same year. The movie is next level bonkers and absolutely hilarious. You guys need to get into some Caruso action and Jade is the place to start. Streaming on Netflix.

William Friedkin admitted that he almost rewrote Joe Eszterhas' script with the latter almost trying to take his name off the project, but has gone on to say that Jade was his most favorite film that he has ever made! Incidentally, this film came out just 3 weeks after Showgirls, and when you combine the total production budgets for both movies ($95 million) and total North American grosses ($30 million), that will completely end the screenwriter's career (with Burn Hollywood Burn finishing the deed 3 years later).
