C Me Dance

Recommended Posts

This is one of my all-time favorite bad movies. Despite its "cool" title, it is neither hip, nor is it about dancing, really. I won't reveal any more about it because you get the maximum impact from the trailer if you're not prepared for where it's going.

PLEASE do this one. And watch the previews on the DVD if you'd like to see some truly phenomenal coming attractions. Seriously, major talent at work here.

I'm new to the boards, but I've been following the show and Earwolf for a while.

I love "How Did This Get Made?", but couldn't help but notice that the trinity has been neglecting a very important, interesting genre of film -- Christian-Horror. Here a kind folks is, C Me Dance.

Trailer:

This trailer is completely amazing in that it sets you up to think you're going to watch a teen film about dancing your way through the loss of a parent, but then it calls you a sucker and whips out some demons.

- Alex Leo, HuffPo

Though I don’t really frequent the site much, Huffington Post listed it as one of The 9 Worst Movies Ever Made (That Will Make You Question Humanity).

Now ever since my birth I've been cursed…

These lyrics by Tupac Shakur accurately describe the protagonist of this movie Sheri, a young dancer, who can’t seem to shake the devil (who appears in spiritual, physical and vehicular forms).

This comes from the creative mind of director Greg Robbins (a stuntman turned extra in The Terminator) who brought you the Christian sitcom classic Pastor Greg and Christina DeMarco of “Creations Creatures”.

It is available on Youtube, but really…How Did This Get Made?

It's got the production values of pornography, with the added benefit of the Bible-thumping target audience probably using this movie as masturbatory material. Dancing for Jesus and battling Satan? Eat of THIS body, if you know what I mean!

I wish I could link to the Foywonder review of this (his site's been down for way too long). According to his review, it's supposed to be a mild horror movie, but it doesn't realize that the true horror villains in the movie are the heroes. They basically plot to have this girl dance on national TV, since whoever Cs her dance instantly becomes a bible-thumping Christian. No need to come to your religious awakening by your own will; just C her dance, and you're brainwashed into it. It's like if the aliens from "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" were the protagonists.

It's sad...the number of times that I've watched this movie is near infinite, but I NEVER understood what or why dancing had anything to do with anything!!
