    D.C. Cab (1983)

I just found out that Mr. T had a starring movie role and this is it. I have to find this streaming somewhere as it sounds unreal!

    Collision Course (1989)

This movie is bonkers and a legitimate how did this movie get made? Other than Jay Leno starring in an action comedy, I don't know how it got past that and into development, especially since Jay Leno, you know, can't act at all.
  3. Available now on Amazon Prime, starring Henry Cavill, Ben Kingsley, Stanley Tucci, Alexandra Daddario, and Nathan Fillion. A weathered Lieutenant (Henry Cavill), his police force, and a local vigilante are all caught up in a dangerous scheme involving a recently arrested, troubled man who's linked to years of female abductions and murders. This is a dark and atmospheric film set in Minnesota during the winter, that seemed a bit dull in plenty of points as a slow burn, but also seemed like a lot of sub plots got left on the editing floor for some reason. The movie doesn't have anything new to offer, just an extra long episode of Criminal Minds basically. Henry Cavill tries to act, but as much as they ruffle his hair and beard he doesn't come off as weathered nor genuine. They do not let the Tooch get loose, Nathan Fillion is barely in it, the police are pretty darn stupid at most points and the twist is not exactly what I expected, but not quite as shocking as they make it out to be. There are no set action pieces to speak of and a movie that deletes itself from your brain while you are watching it. Has anyone else checked it out on Amazon Prime?
  4. Did you ever ask him about it? It really should be done by HDTGM, it is on Hulu through the end of June 2020 so get in there and watch it before it disappears. So much chaos behind the scenes and what looks like unfinished CGI and just a movie jamming as many characters as possible into two hours, which caused Sean Connery to retire. So unfortunate all around. Could have been fun if done correctly.
  5. Backstory: In 2004 NBC aired the Reality Show "Next Action Star" which wasn't a bad idea of a bad reality show. I remember enjoying it as a kid when it aired. They had the contestants do various stunts and short scenes each episode and a panel of judges voted them off. The male and female winners were awarded starring roles in a TV Movie to air on NBC. That movie was... Bet Your Life A man makes a bet in Las Vegas with some men (led by Billy Zane) who want to kill him. He bets he can stay alive for 24 hours, then comes to Cleveland to elude them. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381980/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_49 Now this movie with Billy Zane hunting down the two winners of the show was a hugeeeee disappointment to me. Not only did it have such shoddy production value, but the female winner was possibly the worst actress I have ever seen. I don't know how she won the show as she cannot act a lick. Her career since has evolved into stunt work so there is that. But Billy Zane chewing scenery while chasing these two contest winners through Cleveland (?!?) is so bad it has to be seen to be believed, much worse than even expected TV movie quality. It is directed by Louis Morneau of the 1999 film Bats, for some reason. From what I can find it is only available on Amazon as a DVD, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013NAP0S?ref_=imdbref_tt_wbr_amazon&tag=imdbtag_tt_wbr_amazon-20 though hopefully it comes to streaming soon, maybe on the soon to launch Peacock. Even though it didn't go to theaters, I feel it is quite worthy of HDTGM. Does anyone else remember this reality show of TV movie from 2004?

    Megaforce (1982)

I not familiar with this movie but within a week I will be!

    Volcano (1997)

Apologies, Volcano is not, I repeat not available on Amazon Prime. The JustWatch app said it was and I went to watch it and it wanted me to pay. I believe they got it mixed up with some documentary called Volcano. I don't want to pay $3 - $4 to watch it. Remember it as a teenager, someone jumping from an ambulance into the lava and his legs melting from the feet up. Other than that it will be like a brand new movie to me.
  8. Watched this over the weekend, its a very lame attempt at a horror franchise. It stars all pretty young people like a CW show, where everyone is downloading an app that counts down to the moment of your death. It could have had some fun Final Destination type vibes, but it really didn't. The best part by far was Tom Segura's character, which is so out of place like he is going a completely different movie but is hilarious! I'm not sure this is bad enough in the right way to be featured on the podcast, but it was a lame attempt for someone to make a cheap buck at the theaters during Halloween. They don't even explain it at the end other than to tease the sequel that will probably (hopefully) never happen.

    Volcano (1997)

I have been looking for ways to watch this on streaming and it amazingly its on Amazon Prime now!!!!! Next time I have a movie night, this is going on first! I watched Dante's Peak a few months ago and would have loved to pair it with this, but I just couldn't wait. I wish I had!

    The Big Hit (1998)

I just watched this and I have to agree with the prior comments, its an odd but pretty easy to watch ride. Break dance gun fighting, Lou Diamond Phillips performance, a video store with the meanest employee ever, lots of masturbating jokes, odd little comedy scenes like the kidnapped girl hopping through the house and the dog tearing the bag of body parts open at the same time. It's produced by John Woo and Wesley Snipes(?!?) and goes back and forth between action and comedy, but rarely does it do both at the same time and I think that is what makes it perfect for the podcasts, the abrupt tonal shifts which add to the ludicrous story taking place. This film seems to have fallen off the radar both with HDTGM and the public in general, but I think it should get more attention for how crazy it is.

    Daylight (1996)

Remember Stallone's speech about being courageous and his example is the first person to eat a live oyster? Pure courage to dig down deep and decide that he needed what looked like a giant chest cold in his stomach but he had no choice so he ate it. No way they get 5 minutes into the podcast without bringing that little doozy up.

    A Sound of Thunder (2005)

I am assuming this show got cancelled and wasn't recorded in studio. I certainly hope they reschedule it, as it really does need to be covered.

    Episode 52 — Reindeer Games

The only reason Frankenheimer got to make Ronin and Reindeer Games is because he came in to finish the classic Island of Dr. Moreau. He was in movie jail and they wanted a strict director to come in and get Dr. Moreau done. So they picked him as he didn't have any other options and was available on a days notice. But he negotiated that he got two more feature films which wound up being Ronin and Reindeer Games. Then back to movie jail he went.

    Guardians (2017)

Guardians is available on Amazon Prime! I watched this recently and wow it is sure trying to be the Avengers, but isn't quite right. The Man/Bear with a gatling gun is amazing. Having it dubbed in English usually bothers me, but while watching this trainwreck with good but not good enough special effects, it was the least of my worries. If people here knew what it was, through the podcast or some other way, I think this would become a cult classic for the bad movie, laughing out loud crowd! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4600952/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

    Dungeons & Dragons (2000)

This movie has got to be done, it is bonkers bad and Jeremy Irons performance is an all time scene chewing one. The Wayans character Snails is one of the most unfunny and racist depicted movie characters I can remember, and pretty much every directors choice is odd and the story on how Courtney Solomon wound up directing this movie is insane. The studio turned down James Cameron (right after T2) and Francis Ford Coppola and then told the 30 year old kid who somehow bought the movie rights for real cheap to just direct it himself. Check it out, he had zero film credits. He later directed Getaway with Selena Gomez, which the podcast has done, but this movie is many times crazier. Do it!!

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989)

I haven't seen this in a while but remember it being really awful and perfect for the podcast, especially since it is available on Hulu and Amazon Prime for people to watch.

    Hard Rain (1998)

I'm down for Hard Rain being featured on the podcast. It is actually pretty fun if you turn your brain off for a bit. Betty White and Ed Asner involved, Randy Quaid as the bad guy, but the jet ski chase through the flooded school is by far my favorite part!
  18. I have never seen this film and just listened to the podcast and it is hilarious, but they devote very little time to the movie itself. So my question is, how did she kidnap him and were they literally handcuffed together like the movie poster or is it mostly figurative? Also I see that Paul was in "Meet Dave" with Eddie Murphy. What movie did Jessica St. Clair do with Eddie Murphy to be in the van with him?
  19. I will amend my list since A Sound of Thunder will be covered!! After some thought I have decided to include Uwe Boll's Alone in the Dark. I overlooked that one somehow when I initially made the list. I apologize for this grievous oversight!

    A Sound of Thunder (2005)

Great work guys, it will be covered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. CNU2007

    Alone in the Dark (2005)

Are they only doing one Uwe Boll film?!? Because Alone in the Dark is by far the most wild one that the podcast would have a field day with!
  22. CNU2007

    Dracula 3000 (2004)

Yes! I forgot about this movie but it would be fantastic! It has a strangely cool DVD cover which is about the best part of it. What I distinctly remember is that it has the most sudden and random ending ever!!!! But seeing Casper Van Dien and Coolio chase this whiny pathetic version of Dracula on a spaceship is pretty funny, but not in an intentional way. Do it!

    A Sound of Thunder (2005)

I concur this movie has to be covered! I know there were issues with production and such but I still don't know how it wound up costing $80 million when it looks like it was made for less than $8 million. There had to be SyFy original movies from 2005 with similar effects. Especially the cars, the boxy cars! Could talk for hours on how time travel and time waves work, how there is a whole government agency designated to literally one time travel machine and just one person from that agency who is actually on-site. Yes, Ben Kingsley and his hair and goatee and all of the other wooden acting that is included. Plus early David Oyelowo, who somehow escaped from this and became a legitimate actor. I am sure they can talk all about baboon-lizard creatures and catfish human hybrids and the weird golden pathway that inexplicably appears when traveling back in time. Plus there was a Game Boy Advance game of this, what? https://www.amazon.com/Sound-Thunder-Game-Boy-Advance/dp/B00006IKCM Please do this movie on the podcast and then have a decent filmmaker remake this movie properly as I love time travel and Ray Bradbury and it deserves much much better than this.
  24. 1. Simon Sez with Dennis Rodman and young Dane Cook - absolute insanity 2. Dragon Wars (or D-Wars) - have Craig Robinson as the guest - crazy Korean film in English that is impossible to understand 3. A Sound of Thunder - took a great Ray Bradbury story and botched it completely 4. Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever - Still 0% on Rotten Tomatoes - makes minimal sense and is wild 5. Dungeons & Dragons - come on now, this is sooooo awful and I'm not even that familiar with the source material. The Wayans character Snails is so incredibly racist in his character's depiction. Honorable Mentions: Soul Man - a full movie about blackface?!? Street Fighter - Legend of Chun-Li - how are they so bad at making Street Fighter movies? Chris Klein?!? Jonah Hex - woof what were they trying to do here, poor Josh Brolin and Fassbender
  25. I haven't watched this movie in a bit (since I worked at Blockbuster), but I recall it being wild in a bad way and Chris Klein's performance is just indescribably bad, and he clearly made a choice to do it that way. Can't have too many video game films on the podcast and you guys already did Street Fighter, may as well do this one as well!
