To me, one of the most interesting things is seeing songs that I recognize, but completely forgot that they were part of a movie marketing campaign.

RIP Giant chin, maker of bad movies.

This falls into the "I can't believe there isn't already a topic on this" category. Anyone remember in the mid-90s when Hulk Hogan had a show that was like Knight Rider with a boat? Well it had a couple of made for TV movies in addition to the individual episodes (I know this because I got a DVD of it for my brother for a joke gift many years ago). One of the films is available online in its entirety: If you skip to about the 25 minute mark there is a really lovely interaction between Hulk and a little girl where he pulls a necklace out of the belly of a shark and puts it on her and then parasails with her attached to him while he wears a speedo.

So many great suggestions added. I had no idea that Scandalous was from Catwoman, but I remember it. Also, this is kind of a legitimately catchy song:

I added a bunch more. So far the only one I could think of, but not find was Yolanda & Steve - Memories of Things from Toys.

I thought the same thing, but I have two from Over The Top (Sammy Hagar and Kenny Loggins), so if you feel like there are multiple songs that deserve to be on the playlist then don't hesitate and post them all. Also if anyone is wondering how I am sorting them I chose by popularity, which adds its own interesting layer to the list.

Oh. My. God. You hit it perfectly. I can just see the infomercial with Paul and one of the guys from Air Supply telling me about this collection of songs right now as if it's some time after 2AM but before 6AM. Oh man, how did I miss Mortal Kombat? Also, I MUST include the Blind Guardian song from In The Name Of The King:

I want to limit it only to songs from movies they have done otherwise it could get too big. However, I agree The Last Dragon needs to be done (and I would be able to watch it from my own collection) so hopefully those songs will make their way onto the playlist.

Which is more listenable: Drinkenstein or Lep in the Hood? Also added:

I don't think the question is whether or not it makes sense that the sharks understood the ovens and cameras, it's whether or not Renny Harlin thought it made sense for the sharks to understand the ovens and cameras. It sounds like he heavily anthropomorphized the sharks with little regard to when and where it made sense, he was essentially treating them as Freddy Kreugers and Jason Voorheez's and not something akin to Ceasar in POTA. Also, super stoked for Face/Off

I will say, there are more than one American remakes of French films on this podcast, so this would be a viable film.

This movie makes Elysium look subtle and understated. I don't get the configuration. They're supposed to be two planets really close together right? But planets are spheres and one world appears to cover the whole sky of the other. Only a tiny part of the worlds should be close to each other. I know that from the ground you can only send a signal approx 32 miles because after that the curvature of the earth gets in the way. Do they just happen to live where the two worlds are closest? It can't be because 75% of the movie takes place in a city as dense as Manhattan, while the other 25% takes place in the wilderness where there's a spot that people from the two worlds can talk to each other. And then he says that when matter from one world comes in contact with matter from the other it eventually burns, but world's two matters come into contact all the freaking time and for extended periods. Plus wouldn't you run the risk of having a fire start in your stomach by eating something from the other world? It's as if the filmmaker gave you a set of rules like you're a 4 year old incapable of even giving them the mildest scrutiny and then said "because I said so." This movie doesn't even make sense according to its own terms. I also don't get how the upper world has control over the lower world other than "because corporations grrrr." In some ways this is like the inverse of a Kirk Cameron movie, although only slightly less bad.

Honestly, I think I'd rather watch the latest installment of Scary Movie than of Sharknado, but they do make an entertaining episode.

This movie is like Tango & Cash if Denzel was both Tango and Cash.

That explains it, thanks!

I thought that Deep Blue See was going to be one of the live episodes. Does that mean we're not getting the episode until some time in April? Also, when Paul calls out Netflix it makes me wish they had tacked You Got Served

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000)
Lando replied to inactiveuser501's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Well I am betting that Kim Diamond is a hat tip to King Diamond whose real name is Kim Petersen. Not sure about the others though. -
I caught this on TV a couple of years ago. I remember enjoying it in a silly sort of way.

Mission: Impossible 2 (2000)
Lando replied to Al's French Fry's's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I remember sneaking into the theater to see this and feeling like I got cheated. I laughed out loud at the scene where Cruise and Bean Scott ride towards each other on motor cycles and then jump off to collide in mid air. Edit: Why did I think Sean Bean was in this? I might have this crossed in my head with (the much more watchable) Goldeneye. -
Just as long as this doesn't end with the main character going to a drum circle to resolve the plot I'm on board.

How do you treat Jeffrey?
