    K-11

If there's ever been a more uneven franchise than "K", I don't know what it is! Early on, it was about mountain climbers (K-2), but then it became a buddy cop comedy with Jim Belushi and a dog (K-9), before becoming THIS just 2 installments later (K-11). I don't know how it eventually becomes about Russian submarines at all (K-19), or a Japanese action/adventure (K-20)!

    Gattaca

I don't know hy, but I got sort of a proto-Dinklage vibe from that guy's face.

    Garfield: The Movie

THAT, or all of his recorded dialog was culled from the outtakes of the first film, or maybe it WAS the dialog from the first film and absolutely no one noticed. That would be so, so awesome if that were the least bit true.

    Mercury Rising (1998)

I always get my Statham movies out of order. I mean, I know there's always the Statham movie that comes out towards the beginning of the year that nobody sees, and then you usually have your Statham movie that comes out in the fall that nobody sees. Sometimes, the small Asian person tagging along is Jet Li, and sometimes it isn't.

    Now You See Me (2013)

There's a podcast I listen to called Film Junk where one of the guys described it as "Ocean's 11" without all the stuff that actually made you enjoy "Ocean's 11", like you don't see the interesting in-between stuff like the character interaction and planning, you just literally see them 30 seconds before they're going to do what they're about to do and then you're left with the cops the rest of the time. He also called it the dumbest movie he's seen since "Act of Valor" in that you have this interesting gimmick and then piss it all away by just making it like every similar movie out there. Again, I've only caught bits and pieces of it so far at my theater, but I seem to get a "21" vibe off of this, and that movie was so frustrating because it tried to show you how smart it was in the beginning, and then it just turns into cliches.

    The Cannonball Run (1981)

Don't forget "Cannonball Run 2" and it's spiritual sequel "Speed Zone"!

    Now You See Me (2013)

I haven't seen it, but I understand there's quite a bit of CG, right? Doesn't that completely betray the magic gimmick right out of the gate?

    Mercury Rising (1998)

Did anyone see "Safe", the Jason Statham flick from a couple years back? I didn't think so. Anyway, when I saw the trailer for that, it instantly made me think of THIS movie.

    Episode 64 — After Earth

Actually, I think that might just be a coincidence. I mean, for someone else to have the nerve to make a White House siege movie in the same year that Roland Emmerich is putting out a film? I mean, you don't even have to know WHAT the film is about, as the White House is probably not going to survive, seeing as how he's destroyed it in at least three different movies so far (ID4, Day After Tomorrow, 2012).

    Foodfight! (2012)

That's assuming they even bother to watch them. I don't think even the talent involved bothered to check out total shit stains like "Delgo" or "Doogal". Jon Stewart DID talk about "Doogal" on the Daily Show once or twice though when talking about his less-than-prestigious film career. Funny stuff.

    I Am Sam (2001)

    Or a David Fincher!

    Millennium (1989)

That made me think of "Freejack" for some reason.

Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991)

I'd say it was more of a nail in the coffin for Don Johnson's attempt at a movie career.

Christmas Vacation 2: Uncle Eddie's Island Adventure

They even SWITCH ages too. Rusty had been older in the first couple of films I think, but then in "Christmas Vacation", they swapped! If it hadn't been that way before, it was at least more noticeable in the third one.

    Bullet to the Head

On paper, the Asian guy is actually a bigger draw than Stallone right now. Speaking of which, how crazy is it that Jason Statham can put out a typical Jason Statham movie like "Parker" that only does average, unremarkable Jason Statham movie business, and it STILL does nearly double the business of recent movies by Stallone AND Schwarzenegger? General audiences don't really care about Statham one way or the other, but it seems like they actively AVOIDED films by the bigger stars. Bonkers...

    The Devil Inside (2012)

If you're gonna live in Italy, learn Italian! It should be required that if you want Italian citizenship, you should have to learn the language! All those damn immigrants sneaking across the border, abusing the Italian welfare system, taking all the jobs that should belong to REAL Italians! There should be a wall!

    Surf Nazis Must Die

I've met the guy at a couple of shows ( <---- oh hey, who's that in the picture there?), and he was pretty interesting to talk to, but he seems to be "on" most of the time. I think I'd be more interested in Lloyd talking like a normal person about his movies and not so much in his schlocky Stan Lee character. I highly recommend checking out his books!

    Practical Magic (1998)

You were SO close. The correct answer is "Which Witch Is Which"!

    Practical Magic (1998)

Hmmmmm, there was another one besides "Premonition"? That one was HILARIOUS.

    A Sound of Thunder (2005)

Anyone else remember the episode of "The Sopranos" where Christopher kept hounding Ben Kingsley to be in his horror movie, but Kingsley kept dodging him because he was above that sort of material? I remember the episode being particularly funny, because it aired right around the same time that Kingsley was popping up in total bullshit like "Suspect Zero", "Bloodrayne", and THIS, so no, he certainly wasn't above doing a shitty horror movie at that point in his career. Nice to see him back on the A-List again.

    Practical Magic (1998)

That's funny, because I was confusing this with "Hocus Pocus", which I didn't remember Nicole Kidman being in at all!

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)

I think we need a prequel, possibly "The Loosely-Organized Assembly of Astoundingly Unremarkable Young Chaps" or something like that.

    Timecop (1994)

I HIGHLY recommend the two most recent "Universal Soldier" films, "Regeneration" and "Day of Reckoning" (as well as the first one, but fuck "The Return"...), which were pretty fantastic for being a pair of direct-to-video flicks. Coincidentally, they were both directed by the son of the director of "TimeCop", and they're both quite different from one another in tone as well. I'd like to see that guy direct an "Expendables" flick or something.

    Episode 63 — Fast & Furious 6

It was tremendous, particularly when they were reenacting the Rock/Diesel scene at the end!
  25. I've been watching this for 2 hours...
