Surprised no one has introduced this one yet - much as I love it when HDTGM does the thrillers and sci-fi stuff, you really need the occasional "chick flick" to diversify things, and I think people forget just how goddamn weird and inexplicably unfunny this very mainstream and legitimately financially-successful movie was. Beyond Julia Roberts in a fat suit and a whole plotline about a video that people think shows John Cusack masturbating, you've got Christopher Walken playing an eccentric filmmaker obviously based on the late Hal Ashby who does something that would not only get a director fired but sued and arrested... the whole movie is about movie making, is made by people who have made many movies, and yet its plot is dependent on so many things happening that would just never happen on a Hollywood film or in an actual Hollywood press junket. Hank Azaria is in it, though, basically playing Antonio Banderas, and he's legitimately hilarious.

Imagine the plot of Taken --- but make the movie slower, the actors sound sleepy, and Jason Patric instead of Liam Neeson ... you get the idea. A very laughable action movie that I'm only suggesting because it's currently on Netflix so you don't have to pay to watch it. It is oddly amusing to see how hard Bruce Willis can not care when taking on a leading role. Shoot-em-up scenes so predictable it's like watching a guy in a video game just waltz in, take a few guys down, then continue on his stroll. The best acting performance here comes via 50 Cent. Not to disrespect him and his abilities, but he shouldn't be the best here. It's a shame he only gets 2-3 minutes in the movie.

WHAT EVER YOU DO, DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!! Stephen King you've out done your self again, mission accomplished! Cell (2016) I guess you'll know what I watched last night and it was crazy. it's a zombie movie caused by cell phones. that's really all you need to know, need I say more.

I ran to see this awful 2012 movie and it did not dissappoint. It tells the story of a young Baltimore detective teaming up with Edgar Allen Poe to solve a set of serial murders based on Poe stories. The setup of the movie is as follows: No one knows what happened in the last days of Poe's life...this is what really happened. The movies opens and closes on the moments before his death on some public bench while ravens fly above. I'm not sure who was interested in this historical mystery, but I don't think they will be satisfied by this fictional answer, that he tried to track down a killer and marry/save a blonde lady. While I was watching I was trying to remember EAP stories and facts about his life, but of course none of these things matter to the plot. So who is the serial killer? What will happen to Poe's love? How will he die? How early on will someone say the line, "Nevermore?" And HOW DID THIS GET MADE?
