PhillipMedoc 648 Posted October 29, 2013 The thing is, I believe that actually happened during Alan Moore's run on the comic -- which was one of the more interesting arcs in mainstream comics. It's at least as good as V For Vendetta or Watchmen... wait a minute here... Share this post Link to post
SlidePocket 707 Posted October 31, 2013 This film was also directed by Jim Wynorski, also known for making Chopping Mall and many other B-features. It also won Heather Locklear a Razzie for Worst Actress for her work in this movie. Share this post Link to post
PlanBFromOuterSpace 3138 Posted October 31, 2013 The Now Playing podcast, another great podcast about (often) bad movies is right in the middle of their two-parter about the Swamp Thing franchise. Their review of the first film came out this week, and Return should be out Tuesday. They're good guys! Â As far as Wynorski is concerned, check out the documentary "Popatopolis", currently streaming on Netflix! Funny stuff, and lots of talk about his career, all while we get to see the making of the softcore flick "Witches of Breastwick", which he made with a bunch of off-duty porn stars, a borrowed house, and about 28 bucks. I actually watched Popatopolis on Netflix earlier this year, but missed that he directed this. It's a fun film (documentary?). This film makes so much sense now. Share this post Link to post
Royboy 430 Posted July 5, 2016 When I was a teenager, I watched this movie multiple, multiple times. On VHS, on cable... Back then, I loved it, but probably because the comic movie bar was really, really low. I finally rewatched it today after about twenty years. Â It's an insane movie that I think the show would really have a lot of fun with. That the two kids have more of a subplot than Swamp Thing and Abby do; the almost fourth wall breaking look at the camera Louis Jourdan does when he was about to die; Heather Locklear actually giving an effort; that CCR song that probably cost more than anything else in the movie; and best of all Darryl, Arcane's security guy, who is awfully Rafi-esque. Â Seriously. If they made this movie today, Jason would be playing that part. Share this post Link to post
