Bumpy 1674 Posted September 4, 2015 To do a flawless Vin Diesel saying 'My family' just put your entire hand in your mouth first. 4 Share this post Link to post
HotSaucerman 2051 Posted September 4, 2015 Is it just me or does Elena look a lot like June? Â Â (Edit: Paul pointed it out. She looks like June.) 8 Share this post Link to post
wonderboy 26 Posted September 4, 2015 Han is from America. The character was first in Justin Lin's 'Better Luck Tomorrow' then Lin got the job for Tokyo Drift and put Han in that. 3 Share this post Link to post
HotSaucerman 2051 Posted September 4, 2015 Jason described how I felt watching this movie. I kept waiting for the Paul Walker death scene. It was like in Hot Tub Time Machine when you're waiting for Crispin Glover to lose his arm. 6 Share this post Link to post
Smigg 1488 Posted September 4, 2015 The scene where Toretto hangs the bag of grenades from the helicopter, and Hobbes shoots them from such a long distance might seem implausible to most people. However, it is possible, if not completely normal for The Rock, because all Pro Wrestlers who have spent time in the WWE develop an incredible, super human sense of sight. Â If you don't believe me, here's Hulk Hogan displaying it, Â Â See, all current and former WWE talent has it, 4 Share this post Link to post

FisterRoboto 7499 Posted September 4, 2015 Jason described how I felt watching this movie. I kept waiting for the Paul Walker death scene. It was like in Hot Tub Time Machine when you're waiting for Crispin Glover to lose his arm. Totally. I saw this movie in the theater, and I had the exact same sense of dread that Jason described. Â Also, I made this gif when they announced Furious 7 and was holding onto it until the ep came out because I didn't want to ruin the best part of the movie: Â 17 Share this post Link to post
Auden 1809 Posted September 4, 2015 I love the casual, matter-of-fact way Paul described Elena as looking like June. It's like, my wife is the most beautiful woman and other women are copies of her. Â I wonder what prompted Paul to ask--seemingly out of nowhere--if there were Fast & Furious fanfiction. The audience member who answered the question is great. Unflappable under Jason's ribbing. Not HDTGM fanfiction, but I like to imagine that June, Paul and Jason live together. June and Paul in the main house and Jason in the mother-in-law cottage. 4 Share this post Link to post
FisterRoboto 7499 Posted September 4, 2015 So, small correction about the whole "just go in a building" thing. They had to be within a certain range of the helicopter that had the God's Eye in it in order for Ramsey to upload her hack, so they had to keep moving. Â That said, in the bus chase scene, why did NO ONE know how to use their brakes? Like, the guns come out of the side of the bus. Ludacris has time to roll up his fucking window (which is down for no reason at all), but he can't be like, "If I just brake and move behind the bus, I'll immediately be out of the line of fire." Smigg 1488 Posted September 4, 2015 Also, fun fact regarding Ronda Rousey bringing up her 34 second win over Bethe Correia (pronounce "Betch Corraya" to avoid another sarcy/sarsy fiasco). Her last three fights, have lasted a total of 1:04, and her entire 12 fight career has lasted a little under 26 minutes. To put it into perspective, a UFC title fight has a 25 minutes time limit. Â So, if a title fight goes the distance, just remember that Ronda Rousey would have kicked 11 girls' asses by then, 1 Share this post Link to post

I can imagine it where Jason is living in a spare room, and Paul and June tell their good friend that June is pregnant, and instead of congratulating them, Jason asserts "Well, I'm not sharing a room with any kids, so you figure out where to put him". 8 Share this post Link to post
FisterRoboto 7499 Posted September 4, 2015 By the way, fuck the Sharknado series; we need to get the HDTGM crew into Fast and/or Furious 8. 4 Share this post Link to post
pscudese 701 Posted September 4, 2015 So Torretto says that his crew aren't killers, and yes in this film they are setting out for vengeance. Â But as you all discussed during Fast 5 and 6 podcasts, there were SO MANY innocent bystander deaths caused by the crews total lack of regard to anyone around them. Â Did they seriously all leave Rio with the mindset that, "Yup. No one got hurt or died from us dragging a 300 ton safe through a metropolitan city whilst taking out a number of cars and buildings." Â They are un-remorseful human beings. Â All that said, this move franchise is amazing. Share this post Link to post

NicoleNope 0 Posted September 4, 2015 Han is from America. The character was first in Justin Lin's 'Better Luck Tomorrow' then Lin got the job for Tokyo Drift and put Han in that. Â legit signed up here to post this hahahah . there's also a mini movie showing leddys marriage to dom, which explains when those two got time to get married. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Bandoleros_(film) Share this post Link to post
pscudese 701 Posted September 4, 2015 I get that Torerto agrees to rescue Ramsey in order to use God's Eye and become the "hunter vs. the hunted." But honestly any time Shaw shows up unexpected, it's not like he ever gets the best of Toretto. Any time they face off, even during the rescue mission, Toretto essentially wins. Â And another thing, how exactly is Shaw able to find the crew at every single moment? Forget God's Eye... Employ Shaw to find our most wanted terrorists. Â Finally... Dom. Stop holding your Corona by the neck of the bottle. It's not a gear shift. You look ridiculous. Â And again, this movie franchise is AMAZING. Share this post Link to post
DieFledermaus 12 Posted September 4, 2015 can i please get some comment about the lack of chemistry and poor dialog between vin diesel and michelle rodriguez during the scene where they are talking in front of her tombstone? what was that??? Share this post Link to post
pscudese 701 Posted September 4, 2015 I'm sorry, but that final crash would have broken toretto's neck. Sure maybe his heart did stop, but he is 100% paralyzed. Â And why exactly is Hobbs still in the hospital? I mean his arm is just in a cast at this point in the film. Share this post Link to post

If I don't have a beer koozie, that's how I hold mine. It keeps the heat of your hand away from the actual beer so your beer stays cold. 6 Share this post Link to post
FisterRoboto 7499 Posted September 4, 2015 Just started listening, 9mins in and we already have classic June! Â Glad to have non-bootleg editions again. That whole conversation about which movies June has seen was by far my favorite part of the episode, especially Adam's "Not only have you seen them; we've picked them apart in almost pornographic detail." 8 Share this post Link to post

If you don't believe me, here's Hulk Hogan displaying it,   See, all current and former WWE talent has it, To make another wrestling comparison, the part where they talk about none of the main characters ever having to lose a fight made me think of Hogan and the NWO. There, you had a bunch of guys that had been around forever that all had creative control over their characters, which basically meant that everyone refused to lose to everyone else, leading to basically EVERYONE being in the group and just beating up on the nerds, leading to a complete lack of credible good guys. Ironically, as far as the F&F crew is concerned, the one professional wrestler in the bunch, The Rock, is known for being a guy that doesn't mind losing to get another guy over. 2 Share this post Link to post
ben mcd 127 Posted September 4, 2015 I saw it on opening night in a packed theater (alone; my wife doesn't get why these movies are so dumbly enjoyable) and was laughing hysterically at the flash-back wedding, Dom's dead, Michelle Rodriguez verbal CPR scene to the point that an elderly lady sitting next to me put her arm around my shoulder and said "he's gonna be alright". When I told her I was laughing, she looked at me like I was an insane person. 8 Share this post Link to post

If you listen to 'The Canon' on Wolfpop (which I highly recommend for any fan of film) Devin Faraci has a solid mini-rant about Diesel on this very subject. I believe it is the Mad Max one.
