I want asnwers for that, because those two podcasts we got told got taken down because of some bull shit copy right reason and yet now because of HOWL we get the return of those too podcasts that we got told could never been listened to because of Copy Right Reasons?

 

 

and on the subject of the smurfs, that was the only episode of HDTGM we can have the option of watching the movie or jerking off to the adult version and still not feel like we've missed out on the movie version! LOL

Incorrect. Earwolf's then-CEO Jeff Ullrich came into the forums and explained why they were removed:

 

There was a very reasonable request that we no longer make those eps available and we've accommodated that request. Sorry.

Either someone involved with the movies or someone involved with the show asked they be taken down, and Earwolf agreed to do so.

I watched Highlander before watching Highlander 2...

 

How was the first Highlander? I watched the first few minutes once and shut if off because I thought it was stupid; but I suspect that I just wasn't in the right mood.

Smurfs was still in the theater at the time, and at the end Jason was saying "Do NOT see this movie." I imagine the studio's lawyers could have contacted them and said "Please don't people not to see our movie. We'll straight up sue your asses."

That's not really something you can sue someone for (I mean, you can certainly try, but it won't go anywhere).

 

It's more likely that the people that asked for the episodes to be taken down were friends of the show (like Jayma Mays), and they probably felt a little bad for hardcore bashing something their friends were in. But now that time has passed, things have likely blown over enough that no one is going to get their feelings super hurt about a 5+ year old episode going up behind a pay wall.
