    Episode 201 — End Scene

Thanks for 201 episodes, guys. EEEEEE-IIIIIIIT'S BEEN a fantastic ride...
  2. Watching a Frasier re-run (yeah, I know how to party), and there's Matt Besser himself as a barista! Any stories about working with noted weirdo Kelsey Grammer? Loving the show (I4H, I mean) - keep up the good work.
  3. Just saw Jason on a print ad for "Enlightened" or whatever that show is on HBO. Can anyone recommend this show? Is it a comedy? Love Jason, but hate every pay-cable "comedy" since Mr. Show (I just remembered "Curb", but other than that my point stands). Is Jason new to the cast? I don't think I've ever heard him plug that.

    Episode 198 — Aren't You Glad

I watched the video clip of the Ron Sexsmith song before I listened to the ep, and I didn't realize it wasn't Sarah, until I heard the "over-the-top" impression and checked the guests. Awesome impression, and great episode (can't get enough of Neil's charcs).

    Episode 197 — Please Claire-ify

Didn't even notice the video feed before, but watching it now... I think this is the first time I've seen Tim laugh un-ironically... Mark me down as a fan of the video aspect - it definitely doesn't detract from the comedy, and there's a lot of potential for semi-visual stuff that we couldn't get in a podcast.

    Episode 197 — Please Claire-ify

New No-No: If you're going to have three comedy geniuses as guests at the same time, then I should get to invite their grandparents to Magic Mountain. You listenin', Six Flags? New No-No.
  7. Jason's voice sounded a little different during that clip at 29:40... It's OK, buddy -- it's just a movie!
  8. I know, I can't believe they got rid of that great name... Show looks pretty awesome, though... looks like we'll be seeing some of our favorite characs...

    Lockout (2012)

When I clicked on this thread, I was thinking of the movie "Lock Up", starring HDTGM favorite Sly Stallone. Even though I was like 8 when it came out, I distinctly remember an ad where they interview people leaving the movie, one of which was a toddler (who clearly should not have been allowed to watch a violent prison movie), saying about the movie: "It's weally hawd-cowe" in an adorable voice.

Submit your new HDTGM logo here!

These are fantastic. Was going to take a crack at it, but I don't think I can top some of these... Nice work, Literallati! I'll be sad to see the current logo go, though... I always thought it was clever, with "How Did This Get Made" referring to Paul's baby bump. Were Arnie's people threatening to sue, or is it just time for a change? (If it's the former, I doubt any of these doctored movie poster submissions will get picked, as great as they are).
  11. Andy K on my favorite new podcast! It's like Christmas in December!

    Episode 192 — Best of 2012 Pt 1

I love Scott's obsession with The Murphy Group -- one of my favorite recurring CBB jokes...
  13. Per the San Diego Zoo issue: Randy (or possibly Jason) is right -- there are two "zoos" in San Diego. The regular famous one downtown, and the far superior "Wild Animal Park' in Escondido (probably renamed the 'Pepsi XBox Animal Pavilion presented by eTrade', or something, by now...). The latter is more of a wild animal preserve - you can't exactly drive around loose with the animals, but the huge enclosures definitely make for a less depressing zoo experience (the trade-off is that often, you won't see the animals at all, since they can hide any number of places...) Thanks for the ep! Mr. Attell is amazing.

    Episode 179 — Pitch Slapped

Scott Jeffries of all people should have called The Comanche on the "Houston Oilers" gaffe, since he's Haywood Jeffries younger brother (according to a computer.com search).

    Episode 96 — Vegan Jock

Speaking of Vegan Jocks, my fantasy football team is called "Critter Sanduskies" this year. I hope that's OK (with Howard, I mean... I know it's not OK, taste-wise.)

Episode 173 — Ride Like Hell

Weird that something of half-Jewish, half-Asian origin was discussed two weeks in a row (last week - mahjong, this week, Brent Weinbach...) I think there is a joke there involving a "Ninja Star of David", but I can't articulate it right now...
  17. I haven't seen this one, but I love this line from the Ebert review: "Here are some things, however, that I do not believe: That Mrs. Brody could be haunted by flashbacks to events where she was not present and that, in some cases, no survivors witnessed..."

    Episode 62 — Fame

I thought The Navajo was actually going to go through an entire podcast without busting out a "Mah Wife". I'm so delighted that he managed to get a couple in at the end there.
  19. I accidently used Yahoo! to Bing the CBB tour schedule... I feel horrible -- Sorry, Scott-a-bot!

    Episode 165 — Hoo-ah!

This is one of the best CBB/CDR episodes ever. Andy is a National Treasure, Book of Secrets, and Scott's improv has come so far from the early CDR 'Scott Awkwardman' days, it's ridiculous. That 'Ching-Chong Matinee' episode was amazing, too -- you guys are killing it right now. Props to Andy K. for coming to Vegas regularly, too. This is probably the worst comedy town in the country, and most quality stand-ups know better than to book here. Seeing Andy bomb in Vegas is right up there with my all-time favorite comedy experiences, even including my years following the UCB/alt scene in L.A. Thank that white-bearded old man in the clouds (that's right, hotshot) for guys like Andy and Doug Benson, who manage to get out here a few times a year to help dissipate the clouds of unfunniness left by the likes of Andrew Dice Clay* and Carrot Top. Keep up the good work, CBB - I hope the podcast never goes away, even if the IFC show starts pulling 'Seinfeld' numbers... *Here's an excerpt from the ubiquitous radio commercial for Dice's show that plays here. Warning: Get ready to laugh: "They say 'you shouldn't smoke, it's a filthy habit'. Yeah? So's wiping my ass, but they're not banning THAT! Heyyyy!"

    Nick of Time (1995)

Somehow I've seen this movie all the way through about four times... It's so bad, I wish they would have gone all the way and named Johnny Depp's character "Nick Timerman".

Tango & Cash or Over the Top

I've already started a thread for it, but how is "Nighthawks" not on that list... Stallone in a dress, not once but twice, plus the Hobo with a Shotgun himself as the villain. Maybe there should just be a general Stallone episode...
  23. pbnews

    Cobra

Good call... And I thought 'Deke DaSilva' ("Nighthawks") was the most absurd Stallone character name ever... Marlon Cobretti is a hole nubba level of ridiculousness...

    Hobo with a Shotgun

    #NoHobo
  25. So do I - especially when it's James Adomian doing the impression. I was disappointed to learn that PFT doesn't like people to "do" him, because he thinks it implies that his "essence" is easy to capture. I disagree. I think the comedian has done all the hard work to make his/her voice distinctive, and should be proud that they are so unique that everyone knows who is being referenced, even if the vocal impression isn't spot-on. Speaking of brilliant comedians, I recently saw an ad for Larry the Cable Guy's show at the 'East Side Cannery' in Vegas... For those of you not familiar, this would be the L.A. equivalent of headlining at a Del Taco in Burbank. I snickered at this right up until I bought my tickets for Weird Al at 'Terrible's' in freakin' Primm, NV - that's when I realized that these shitty casinos must shell out HUGE money for big names like that... Git-R-Successfully Concluded.
