Scooby Donkers 1514 Posted July 7, 2015 I do just want to add that this ep is among my favorites, as well. I'm not a huge FoT or anything, but I do really love Tom himself, his sensibility, and especially all of the Scharpling & Wurster stuff. My love for HH and this community--such as it is--has given me a better appreciation for the devoted fanbase that Tom has long enjoyed. And it should go without saying that it's a natural fit to have Tom on HH (or Jon, for that matter, maybe even more so), because nowhere else in modern comedy does a program so heavily feature my favorite form of humor, which is, of course, mispronouncing. 16 Share this post Link to post
souprman 10477 Posted July 7, 2015 It's okay. We can't all be Bozos. (let go and let bozos) 12 Share this post Link to post

watchayakan 1021 Posted July 7, 2015 I want everyone to come to Park City next year for the premier of my indie softcore porno The Rustling of the Frontal Torpedoes. 6 Share this post Link to post
Andrew 4646 Posted July 7, 2015 This is a rock formation near where I live that I visited recently. It is called the Devil's Chimney. Thank you for listening. 22 Share this post Link to post
elizamuffins 4228 Posted July 7, 2015 Finished this ep while I made dinner. Really is top notch. Had some microwaved ice with my meal. Gonna watch some Animaniacs with the kids before I put them to bed. That Carmelo really cracks me up. 12 Share this post Link to post
LydonBergin 420 Posted July 7, 2015 Pretty sweet Rock, Andrew. No, I'm not just posting this so I can get back here easily later and know where to continue reading from. I'm not one of Tom Scharpling's hot dogs, so quit grilling me. 12 Share this post Link to post
MusicalGuest 380 Posted July 7, 2015 OK, I'm totally going to recommend this one to all my friends who have been reluctant to try HH. I don't listen to the show, but from the way you all are raving about this episode, I'm confident they'll love it. This definitely would be a good intro, especially for Best Show fans. It's very accessible with no inside/running jokes, a funny standalone intro segment, and a great interview with a clear straight-man/weirdo dynamic that people know from Best Show and elsewhere. Plus it's just an instant classic ep. 2 Share this post Link to post

Plus it's just an instant classic ep. I have had my ear to the ground and I am also close personal friends with some industry insiders and I CAN say that this ep is gaining a lot of traction in "Best Show" fan circles. 3 Share this post Link to post
SteveH 11126 Posted July 8, 2015 I've heard Scranton referred to as Entertainment Capital of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Lots of industry types out there 3 Share this post Link to post
Danny Boy Wizard 1342 Posted July 8, 2015 DC as a whole is also very happy that they mentioned us. We don't get noticed all that much in the media so it's kinda nice. 2 Share this post Link to post
RocHoover 400 Posted July 8, 2015 My summer home is in Scranton. I also come back here to relax a bit after pilot season. 2 Share this post Link to post

Game of Scones 5812 Posted July 8, 2015 okay episode, not many laughs I wish i had a funny/ironic thing to post, but I don't 2 Share this post Link to post
mwn 5470 Posted July 8, 2015 So fun. I like your username and avatar a lot. I only wish, perhaps unfairly, that you had also included a pic of your D or something. I'm almost used to being disappointed now, though. Don't worry about me. 4 Share this post Link to post
SteveH 11126 Posted July 8, 2015 okay episode, not many laughs I wish i had a funny/ironic thing to post, but I don't NORM! (The line reading on this is not how everyone at Cheers would say it bc they were happy to see Norm. It's more like the way Sean says "HAYES!" When he's shocked/disappointed with some thing Hayes just said) 8 Share this post Link to post
rod aug 5637 Posted July 8, 2015 Did you guys know that The Office was only in Scranton because all the cast members live there and work in an office together? 21 Share this post Link to post
RocHoover 400 Posted July 8, 2015 I'm close personal friends with someone who worked at that office (was never on camera) and has opinions on many of the people that ended up on the show. 5 Share this post Link to post

Casaba 5942 Posted July 8, 2015 This episode was very funny. Everyone did a great job. I love Hayes's yelling and big laughing. I hope he did vocal warm ups before this ep! 16 Share this post Link to post
