I do just want to add that this ep is among my favorites, as well. I'm not a huge FoT or anything, but I do really love Tom himself, his sensibility, and especially all of the Scharpling & Wurster stuff. My love for HH and this community--such as it is--has given me a better appreciation for the devoted fanbase that Tom has long enjoyed.

 

And it should go without saying that it's a natural fit to have Tom on HH (or Jon, for that matter, maybe even more so), because nowhere else in modern comedy does a program so heavily feature my favorite form of humor, which is, of course, mispronouncing.

OK, I'm totally going to recommend this one to all my friends who have been reluctant to try HH. I don't listen to the show, but from the way you all are raving about this episode, I'm confident they'll love it.

 

This definitely would be a good intro, especially for Best Show fans. It's very accessible with no inside/running jokes, a funny standalone intro segment, and a great interview with a clear straight-man/weirdo dynamic that people know from Best Show and elsewhere. Plus it's just an instant classic ep.
