Today, my co-worker told me that tomorrow is her dog's birthday which is also her best friend's birthday. I joked, "My dog is my best friend too," which led to her explaining how she meant that her "pet dog" happened to share the same bday as her friend, "who is a human," but that they are two separate entities.
