Chris tells us about his upcoming Comedy Central special Mandroid, explains the meaning of dookie cookie, and answers the question as to why priests can’t marry. Bucho 188 Posted November 7, 2012 Maybe it's just me, but, for me, I like having Comedy Bang Bang once a week. But I like it even better having Comedy Bang Bang twice a week. 7 Share this post Link to post

angryatheist 6 Posted November 7, 2012 Well at least I have this after the loony liberals legalized jazz cigarettes, elected a woman homosexual in Wisconsin, redefined marriage to an abomination, and re-elected the Muslim Atheist B.H. Obamacare II. Share this post Link to post

The Abbottar 9 Posted November 7, 2012 Usually Chris' voice is annoying to me but something seems different. Either way I'm happy for him to be on the show. Share this post Link to post
JacobCrites 4977 Posted November 7, 2012 Hilarious episode. JT explaining callbacks nearly made me spit out my coffee. 1 Share this post Link to post
Jeff MacDonald 71 Posted November 7, 2012 And the Kulap impression that Scott did made me choke on my lunch... twice. 2 Share this post Link to post
EarHole 4 Posted November 7, 2012 I thought the title was misleading, but nope. My mind has been blown once again, and not only is everything connected, but then is also connected to a graphic cum joke. I feel like I'm inside a cum matrix. Share this post Link to post
Kickpuncher 5012 Posted November 8, 2012 Fun show, but it's really weird to hear Chris not in a hosting role. I'm terribly disappointed that we won't be hearing about President OBAMACARE for four more years (although I'd be a lot more disappointed if that were the case for a different reason). Novato 25 Posted November 8, 2012 I have to admit, I was never a huge fan of Hardwick, but he and Scott riffing back and forth absolutely delighted me on this, talking about the suit, the list of JTs (JT Fourmore is my favorite up and comer), and the Gangnam Style stuff. I could listen to those two talk to the CBB guests all day. I am going to start listening to Nerdist now I think! Share this post Link to post

I don't really mind Chris like some of my friends do, but I think he is generally sharper when he's riffing with people like Scott. Some of the podcasts on the nerdist network are really good though. I like the 8/16 bit game music cast a lot. Share this post Link to post
schillfactor 0 Posted November 9, 2012 It seems like the characters based on LA-Entertainmentcentric characthers like the stand-up comic, the hollywood exec and even Daly's Mayor of Hollywood are significantly less funny than the vast majority of the others. I think I only come to the comment section to hate, but I don't post often so don't get mad Hot Soccer Mom, and please don't ever bring Paul Scheer back, oy. Share this post Link to post
EarHole 4 Posted November 10, 2012 my all-time favourite characters are andrew daly as a nurse, dov charney, and Ice-T is the best ever. Those are the ones that stick in my head. I also liked the "boner ghost", and his catchphrase "you have to open your mouth eventually.....I can wait all day". Share this post Link to post

OtherWhiteMeatus 0 Posted November 13, 2012 So, just because Hardwick likes to mention he took Latin in highschool, the "m" in mandroid is kinda' gilding the lily, since the definition of "android" is something like "humanoid robot." http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=android Great ep, though, and I enjoyed the hour on CC. Looking forward to the presidential Odd Couple this fall. Share this post Link to post
Kickpuncher 5012 Posted November 13, 2012 So, just because Hardwick likes to mention he took Latin in highschool, the "m" in mandroid is kinda' gilding the lily, since the definition of "android" is something like "humanoid robot." http://www.etymonlin...hp?term=android Interesting. I thought 'android' more generically meant robot, and thus 'mandroid' would be akin to 'cyborg'. So is 'droid' meant to be different from 'android' (and not just short for it), or is R2-D2 incorrectly called a 'droid'? Also, Hardwick's special was really good. Share this post Link to post
OtherWhiteMeatus 0 Posted November 13, 2012 [Andro], as a root, means "male," as in androgynous (andro "male" + gyn "female" + ous "adjective") or androgen, a masculinizing hormone. Android is just that root plus the suffix -oid, for "shaped like." Interestingly, the wikipedia page for "android" also mentions "gynoid," which is really where I think the technology ought to be focusing. That same page says The term "droid", coined by George Lucas for the original Star Wars film and now used widely within science fiction, originated as an abridgment of "android", but has been used by Lucas and others to mean any robot, including distinctly non-human form machines like R2-D2.
