hillmancobs 0 Posted January 9, 2013 What was Adrian Brody thinking?!? This looks sooooo unspeakably bad! Â http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc5sKZ-OiRI http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1754811/ Share this post Link to post
sillstaw 414 Posted January 10, 2013 What was Adrien Brody thinking? Probably, "Well, my last few high-profile-ish movies were 'High School' and 'Predators.' What do I have to lose?" Â ...just wow. I mean, this might be one of the first things I've ever seen that tries so hard to be offensive (slave jokes! Gay jokes! Asian jokes!) that it not only forgets to be funny, but it can't even be offensive. For one thing, that would require a point of view, something this movie lacks entirely. Â I also recall hearing about Vince Offer's first movie, "The Underground Comedy Movie." There's a "sketch" involving a superhero named Dickman who sprays his enemies with semen, which goes to show that he has somehow failed to develop any kind of sense of humor in nearly fifteen years. Â One last cheap shot: Offer is an ex-Scientologist. This may be the first time I've ever felt like Scientology had good taste. Share this post Link to post

Was "Underground Comedy Movie" the one that had the ad that ran during the Howard Stern Show on E! for years and years? I don't know of a person alive that's seen the thing. Shannon 2953 Posted January 11, 2013 Wait wait... the SHAMWOW guy made that Underground Comedy Movie right? Â Â I honestly can't bring myself to click on the trailer. I suffer from terrible second hand embarrassment. 1 Share this post Link to post

RyanSzich 4 Posted January 13, 2013 Was "Underground Comedy Movie" the one that had the ad that ran during the Howard Stern Show on E! for years and years? I don't know of a person alive that's seen the thing. Â Yeah, it was the one that had Offer dressed like the "Free Government Money" guy and hitting old women and a porn actor who went by the name Arnold Schwollenpecker. That Vince Offer, the new king of subversive comedy. Share this post Link to post
Johnny Unusual 525 Posted March 17, 2013 This looks way awful but still not right for HDTGM. I don't think bad sketch comedy is right for the show, sort of in the same way they won't do the Friedberg/Seltzer comedies. Share this post Link to post
BagguhMcGuirk 104 Posted March 17, 2013 Adrien Brody actually has a writing credit(additional dialogue) on this movie. While I'm sure he would do just about any movie he's offered at this point, he obviously believed in this enough to be a credited writer. It's amazing how so many good actors can have such horrible taste. Share this post Link to post
seanotron 2307 Posted March 17, 2013 I saw the trailer for this and I thought it was just a differently cut trailer for Movie 43. What's the deal with all these crap ensemble comedies? 'Go ahead, make me gay'? What person who isn't a 7-year-old boy would think that's funny? Share this post Link to post
chesterdouglas 291 Posted March 17, 2013 Wait a second, didn't Adrien Brody once-upon-a-time win an Oscar for Best Actor? Or, was that whole incident just some kind of crazy (and oddly specific) fever dream that I had one time? If so, please, somebody set me straight. Share this post Link to post

'Go ahead, make me gay'? What person who isn't a 7-year-old boy would think that's funny? Â The big difference between Movie 43 and this shitfest is that this movie isn't even trying. There were segments in 43 that were just overt but most did have some great laughs in them. I mean in this movie you have in the trailer a guy holding watermelons and fried chicken trying to get a black couple on a boat to Africa and Adrien Brody making gay puns. It was like they thought if they were just outright offensive that people would fork over their money. Share this post Link to post
wakefresh 689 Posted March 17, 2013 This would be a joyless viewing for everyone. Its hard to get through "funny" movies that are anything but. Share this post Link to post
Wien 401 Posted March 25, 2013 Â Ok, I am posting this strictly for due diligence's sake. This one is going to be too rough for any sane person to watch. I mean, has Hollywood REALLY been aching for a Rob Schieder/Lindsay Lohan vehicle directed by the Sham Wow guy?? If ever there was a question that literally made you ask "How did this get made?" (and also "How the fuck did they get Adrian Brody to agree to this?), this is it. Comes out this weekend, for the curious. I'm going to pass, I certainly don't need to be contributing money to this nightmare. Â Also, for hilarity's sake, someone liveblogged their viewing experience. Â 12:03 p.m. Lohan is dressed as Marilyn Monroe, recreating Monroe's famous subway-grate moment. Only the gentlemen from the ShamWow commercials is sitting below her, aiming a video camera at her genitals.12:04 p.m. This just may be Lindsay Lohan's lowest moment. 12:04 p.m. Come to think of it, this may be my lowest moment, too. Â Who thought it could get worse than Liz and Dick. Share this post Link to post
choochoo_the_wonder_slut 740 Posted March 25, 2013 That trailer is one Cuba Gooding Jr. cameo away from the most depressing thing ever. Share this post Link to post
seanotron 2307 Posted March 25, 2013 A lot of Cuba Gooding hate on the boards. I had no idea he provoked such a strong reaction. Share this post Link to post
seanotron 2307 Posted March 25, 2013 Also this movie is pure garbage and there's no reason for anyone to watch it, not even to make fun of it. 1 Share this post Link to post
Wien 401 Posted March 25, 2013 Why hate on Cuba Gooding? I must have missed out on some new hipster meme on him or something. Share this post Link to post

BagguhMcGuirk 104 Posted March 25, 2013 From Polanski to Wes Anderson to the ShamWow guy and back to Anderson, I don't know what I would call that. Share this post Link to post
choochoo_the_wonder_slut 740 Posted March 25, 2013 I thought he was convincingly badass in Predators. Kinda hope they do a sequel honestly. Â So is it really this easy to get a movie made? There are funny people on these forums, let's crank out some scripts. 1 Share this post Link to post
RyanSz 3140 Posted March 26, 2013 There has been talk of a Predators sequel which I would love to see what kind of characters they get. But like everything with Robert Rodriguez, he talks about sequels coming out immediately (Sin City, anyone?) but then they get pushed back to proposed remakes (Red Sonja) or sequels no one asked for (Spy Kids 4). The only sequel that he seems to be getting out in a reasonable time frame is Machete Kills. Share this post Link to post
seanotron 2307 Posted March 26, 2013 Rodriguez is a lot like Guillermo Del Toro. They always have 50 projects going on and very few of them ever seem to get made. Share this post Link to post
