We've got Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale fighting the classic Universal Monsters. What could go wrong? Just about everything. Werewolves show up in broad daylight, full moon or no. Said full moons happen for two nights, skip three and happen again. Richard Roxburgh as the worst Dracula. Vampire babies that explode into goo. Frankensteins creation that annoying and can never make up his mind about living or dying. And, apparently, soft, velvet couches kill people who've been thrown through walls, dropped from heights through ceilings and hit the ground with nary a hair out of place. Not a moment of this film makes any sense. I was so looking forward to this film back when it hit theaters, confident that no matter what it would at least be fun. No. Unbelievably bad. It tanked so bad that the sequels and television series were cancelled. Last I heard, though, I believe Tom Cruise was attached to the damn remake...

I had the pleasure of finding and watching this film a few weeks ago, this has so much going for it in a HDTGM way from who is in it (Casper Van Dien, Kim Cattrall, Craig Ferguson, Udo Kier to name a few), to the ridiculousness of the script and the campness that ensues at times. Kim and Craig seem to know what type of film this is a camp it up which just add's a comedy element to it that I am not sure the writer had intended. Also the Vampire hunter and his accomplish are such bad stereo types it just makes them even funnier. There is just so much in thee for HDTGM to break apart and discuss link to trailer: https://youtu.be/HNXraNakzNo

I mean the tagline of this movie is "Fuck Evil!" From the imdb page: Heroines Mallory, Vena Cava and Talking Tina fight the fallen angel Abaddon and his accomplices vampire Lady Valentine and succubus Morphine. This crazy ass pseudo-anime French sci-fi film is basically a more X-rated Buffy the Vampire Slayer...only with a kickass drag queen character and a telepath named Talking Tina. Come for the demonically possessed nun's face-acting. Stay for the Tina Knowles inspired villain costumes. I am specifically recommending the English language dub release, as it alone provides most of the entertainment of this film. It's usually available on Youtube although I highly doubt you will regret purchasing this one. Favorite quote: That was done by me."

Wayne Gretsky, no relation, is a vampire posing as a history professor. He has been unable to use his vampire bite for 300 years because he accidentally drained the woman he loved to death. But he meets a college student that looks just like her and can suddenly start biting again. When he accidentally turns her into a vampire, her bloodthirsty ways threaten everything, including the guy she's been friends with forever. This movie has insane vampire rules, and Gary Cole as the vampire's therapist who appears to be wanting to help him go back to biting people instead of drinking animal blood. The dialogue is batshit crazy most of the time, but the movie actually gets surprisingly fun once she becomes a vampire. "Speak of the vampire"
