neilly 105 Posted August 23, 2013 I was going to just call this the Favorite Nic Cage Character Name; but, I think this needs to be broadened. Call out some epic character names.  Nic Cage in Gone In Sixty Seconds: Memphis Raines  That's pretty bad ass! Share this post Link to post
PlanBFromOuterSpace 3138 Posted August 23, 2013 I'm sticking with John Matrix, the Arnold Schwarzenegger character from "Commando"! 1 Share this post Link to post
Lando 2019 Posted August 23, 2013 I'm having a hard time thinking of a better one than Chev Chelios Share this post Link to post
Skeevins 322 Posted August 26, 2013 Of all time? Jacuzzi Splot from an anime called "Baccano!" Â From live action movies? Tequila Sunrise, Chow Yun-fat's character from Hard Boiled. Share this post Link to post
JamesCrackCorn 33 Posted August 27, 2013 Steven Seagal in Attack Force: Marshall Lawson  1 Share this post Link to post
JacobCrites 4977 Posted August 27, 2013 I thought this was a thread about our favorite names that the gang has given movie characters. In which case I would say Hubcap & Turkey Sandwich. Â Â 3 Share this post Link to post

PhillipMedoc 648 Posted August 27, 2013 Hubcap & Turkey Sandwich. My memory is terrible; which one was that? Share this post Link to post
inactiveuser501 168 Posted August 27, 2013 My memory is terrible; which one was that? Â On The Line. And by the way guys, it was a Turkey Sub. Â Based mainly in HDTGM films, I'd say my top three are Lincoln Hawk (Seriously, that must be Stallone's best name), Ophelia Powers and Guy LaFarge 2 Share this post Link to post
neilly 105 Posted August 27, 2013 My memory is terrible; which one was that? Â Wasn't that Birdemic? Share this post Link to post
Blueman29X 72 Posted August 27, 2013 Just off the top of my head Jacob Wolf comes to mind. Share this post Link to post
SlidePocket 707 Posted August 29, 2013 Probably my favorite character name from just recently is Cypher Raige from "After Earth", played by Will Smith. 2 Share this post Link to post
Kickpuncher 5012 Posted August 30, 2013 I just found out that Ethan Hawke's character in Getaway is named Brent Magna. Share this post Link to post
PlanBFromOuterSpace 3138 Posted August 30, 2013 I just found out that Ethan Hawke's character in Getaway is named Brent Magna. That made me think of the ULTIMATE Hawke, which would be Jan-Michael Vincent's Stringfellow Hawke, from TV's "Airwolf" (sounds familiar...). If this was a contest, it would now be over. 1 Share this post Link to post
denimgremlin 1179 Posted September 10, 2013 speaking of nick cage movies, peter stormare's character has one of my favorite movie names ever, Dino Velvet Share this post Link to post
ADoer 11 Posted September 19, 2013 HDTGM fave: Stallone as 'Lincoln Hawke(s)' Â I want to punch something when I think of John Travolta and/or Nick Cage as 'Castor Troy' Â Something bothers me about what I assumed was a Hollywood writer inventing the name 'Cole Trickle' for Tom Cruise's NASCAR guy in that racing movie. PlanBFromOuterSpace 3138 Posted September 19, 2013 speaking of nick cage movies, peter stormare's character has one of my favorite movie names ever, Dino Velvet That is a good one, but he WAS playing a porn director. It might seem a bit more ridiculous if he was a mailman or something. Share this post Link to post
IHugKittens 53 Posted September 20, 2013 Lincoln Hawk (Seriously, that must be Stallone's best name) Â That and Marion Cobretti. Another amazing HDTGM name is Battlefield Earth's Jonnie Goodboy Tyler. Jean-Claude Van Damme also has a ton of silly character names, if I had to pick just one that would probably be Chance Bordeaux from Hard Target. Share this post Link to post
PhillipMedoc 648 Posted September 20, 2013 I said it in the Vampire In Brooklyn thread, but Angela Bassett's partner in that movie is named Detective Justice. 1 Share this post Link to post
